Good afternoon. Great seeing you outside of droning. Been watching you since my Mavic 2 drones. Still fly them. I still think they are the best 🦅. Traded my 2018 S for 2022S long range. My wife has a 2022 Y. Love both of them. I take the drones with me on trips & drone while charging. Hope you & your family have a Great Year. Enjoy your Tesla. Will now be watching both channels. 🦅😊🏎️
Awesome vid, Aldryn! Excited to pick up my Y in Carlsbad this Saturday You may have already covered this in a previous video but do you mind sharing your tint specs and where you got your windows done? I know you got ppf but curious which products you are using to get that shiny wet look? Thanks!
I got everything done at Elite Finish in Miramar. Full ppf, tinted the front to match the factory back window. Also added a light tint ppf to the headlights and taillights. I use the waterless car wash drone elite to clean my car.
Love the video thanks. This may be a little off topic but to anyone trying to register any vehicle that was a private sale in the state of CT and probably any other state make sure that your taxes are up to date. This is a no brainer but more importantly make an appointment with the dmv well in advance of your purchase date or expect not to be driving your tesla or other for 2 to 3 weeks after you've signed everything and have all the proper paperwork in hand. Point is, if you thought the dmv sucked previously youll be amazed at how incompetent they are post plandemic. Id prefer to show up when its convenient for me and wait half the day than to be turned away when youve waited 2+ weeks for your appointment over things you may not understand prior to your visit only to learn you now have to wait a similar period for another appointment.
Picked up my Tesla Model 3 Long Range this Tuesday here in Denmark. Knew everything you went through except the disengaging of autopilot by pushing up the stalk. That will come in handy tomorrow. Great video 👍
I believe I've had about 4-5 updates since I got my car. I wanted more room with the Model Y for the family. Plus I'm a huge hatchback fan as it provides a lot more storage.
@@TeslaoftheDay yes I test drove the Model Y & it is much more practical than the model 3. When I test drove the model 3, it was a boys dream come true! Enjoy 🙏
Curious about the regenerative braking... do the brake lights come on even if you're not pressing on the brake? How are you signaling to drivers you're coming to a stop?
The lights do NOT come on soon enough. I almost hit s model 3 when he let off for some bumps in the road. I let off for the same bumps every day and his car slowed down much faster than my truck and was not expecting that. His lights never came on.
This session was very helpful. Thank so much. Quick question- There are no sensors on 2023 model. How can we detect pavements while parking or view how close we are to other things in the front while parking? Any insight
Can you leave it running while charging? Can you leave it running at a store for example with the AC on and locked in case other family members are in the car?
I usually really like my model 3 performance but lately the random sudden hard braking has been BRUTAL. It's a known problem, has been for a while, but seems to be getting worse. We've stopped using cruise for fear of being run over by a truck when it decides to brake for some random reason. Tesla calls it a "slow down" but if you experience it you'll feel otherwise. My dog does, she's tired of being thrown into the back of the drivers seat! My next EV probably won't be a Tesla :(
I was in traffic around mobile Alabama in a rental 2023 Tesla it brakes pretty hard but it's not really that bad I had a smart car for 3 years and smart car brakes get annoying in traffic too
This happened to me recently and I was on autopilot. It happened just as I was transitioning from one highway to another. I don’t understand why it did it since both highways speed limit was 65 MPH, but for some reason the car wanted to slow down even more.
I’ve also stopped autopilot use. Far too dangerous with sudden rapid braking for no reason. Worth noting other ev brands have a lane keeping / active cruise system and they do not have this issue, nor are they beta.
I got lucky picked up a model 3 RWD on September 25,2022. I got all the new stuff plus USS. Also, I charge it every other day to 100%. The car needs to be charged to 100%. Just follow what Tesla tells you.
If they're so great at software, then surely they can offer a simplified interface for demo drives. Otherwise you do the short demo drive without knowing how to turn off the AC in winter or simply turn up the heat. Oh well, it's Microsoft complexity of software features again.
Just bought a Model Y performance model outright for my wife yesterday for Mothers Day. 61k and change out the door, along with the -7,500 tax refund for 2023. No brainer! picking it up in Vegas instead of OC saves you another 398.
Number 10; your touchscreen controls the entire car. So if it becomes unresponsive, open the door and roll out because that car is literally out of your control. Get out and run before it crashes into something.
Thing is, Tesla forgot it is a car. You are supposed to drive it. And when moving the screen controls are shite. Especially as they change them when upgrading sometimes. Software for support systems are made by ?. Noone knows when wipers start or stop, when the car will prevent lane change or suddenly brake to a full stop. I believe this "car" is a hazard in traffic.
New tesla owners, immediately feel some regret because of bad design problems you didn't know about. such as if the car loses power likely caused severe damage to the battery(i'd expect fire) your door handles will no longer work. far as I know driver and front passenger have a partially reasonable emergency handle to get out. if you have backseat passengers hopefully you brief'd them on how to rip the speaker grill off and tug the emergency wire loop in a hole to open the rear doors. (rear seats do not have a emergency door latch like front seats do.) Many years ago I wanted a Tesla but over time the horribleness of those vehicles flaws came apparent and thats ignoring the shit with the CEO. sad to Say it's best to avoid Tesla these days... trustworthiness is in the dumpster.
No regrets here. I’m curious what perfectly designed car you ended up with that has zero issues and is an engineered to meet your needs. Let us know. Thanks.
I just spent a week with a tesla 3. As a certified computer repair person . I know for a fact that this car is completely controlled by a single computer. The life cycle of computer parts are roughly 5 to 7 years. Also the touchscreen is a failure point. If that goes out for some reason . you cannot really do much with the car.
What about a traditional gas vehicle? If you don’t maintain it, won’t it break down faster? Is it not possible to maintain a computer center vehicle? Too many assumptions in my opinion.
Get rid of these cars wait till someone hacks it and tells you your not aloud to drive anymore and stops you from driving it will happen or the car will blow into flames hurting the environment

The greyed out buttons mean Auto is on, off or on Manual?

It does as soon as you decellerate more than a ICE car does when engine»breaking».

Thanks! How do you keep your white seats clean? I love them but I like them white!
Wipe them regularly with water and a microfibre

What color is that?

Love my Tesla. The car is so easy and comfy. It’s a rocket too
Thank you…
I would prefer the speed odometer in front of the steering wheel, instead of having to look to the right to see the speed.
Do Tesla have gas throttle¿ or electric speed throttle.. ¿
Sometimes the key card takes a really long time to unlock/lock the car. Is there a trick to that? Do I have faulty key cards?

Is Auto steering/Lane keeping part of the basic Auto Pilot? Thanks
Yes
@5.11 All cars with automatic transmission are supposed to be used with only one foot.
I guess you mean to say one pedal driving. ;)
So do you every really use the break?
Sure. Mainly emergency , but you get used to one pedal driving approaching your stops and normally not needing to apply brake.
Do you really must keep the app open and give location permission”always”?
no

You should cover the situation with parking sensors and self park as this differs to all other cars on the market since Tesla took them off
