The quirk afo being affected by new order would make sense, as Star and Stripe did say that Star and Stripes did say that her quirk would affect afo, meaning the quirk itself. Maybe the people’s consciousness being awakened is due to being singled out by new order to be targeted and destroyed instead of just being a stockpile of quirks, so basically a wake up call like, “Hey! I’m coming to get YOU!” And then the quirks within afo react to that being singled out and become self aware, which then allows them to regain their personalities, which makes sense as I don’t think it was ever said that the personalities or vestiges of the people were erased when taken into afo.
I’m pretty sure it’s actually stated that taking someone’s quirk is like taking a part of them in general like their soul or being I’m pretty certain it’s been used that way to describe the vestige world in general when it came to deku atleast
I’ve been thinking it’s meant to show a point of connection between the 2 live holders of AFO. What happens to AFS happens to AFO. And it’ll get nutty when AFS goes 100%. And I think that because I’m pretty sure there is a point of connection between live OFA holders as well. And I’ve got that side worked out pretty well. Guess I should have figured most things that apply to OFA should also apply to AFO in some warped fashion.
@@Tirreger If All For One himself to Shigaraki as "my other me" or "other self" it could explain that, due to both having the same exact Quirk, they are entangled by it in what soul & mind refers to. Heck, maybe the same reason All For One is beginning to lose his strength could be the same one that made All Might lose his: the passing of the Quirk. As we all know, AFO wants to (I think) make Shigaraki his new vessel. His old, ragged & deteriorating body should be losing strength by each passing day, the only things keeping him alive being his mask & quirks.

So essentially everyone is joking about what an 'amazing' film it is, referencing all their favorite scenes that they memorized by heart after 'watching it' 10 times. But it's morbin time is his catch phrase, I should know, I went and saw the film nonstop on opening weekend. 11/10 would recommend.
I don't see AFO going down so easily. Sure, they may have destroyed his mask, but his battle with All Might shows that he can survive for a while even after it's damaged. Also, I think AFO will be even more dangerous from here on out. His fight with Star and Stripe shows that AFO can be terrifying when he's genuinely angry, so for a "side character" like Jirou to embarrass him like this... Yeah, he's gonna go all out next chapter. Also, I slightly disagree with you about the "no characters" dying thing. While I can't see Horikoshi killing off one of the Class 1-A students (though it would be pretty ballsy if he did), I CAN see something like Endeavor sacrificing himself to take out All For One once and for all. Now as for the vestige rebellion thing... I remember during the PLW arc when AFO, Shigaraki, and Midoriya were in the vestige world, AFO mentioned that the lingering wills of those whose Quirks he stole would hurl abuse his way, so maybe this was what Horikoshi was building to. But I do agree that it's a little too convenient for it to happen during the final battle right when the heroes need to turn the tide in the fight. But I also believe that this is Horikoshi foreshadowing how Midoriya will ultimately defeat Shigaraki. Maybe somehow Shigaraki will get One For All, leading to a final battle within the vestige world where Midoriya will destroy the All For One Quirk, freeing Shigaraki from AFO's influence.

Jiro being forgotten until now might finally get us her backstory and supermove. Everyone else has improved not just their personalities but their powers. I think it'd be perfect to get each memeber of 1A that moment in the spotlight you were talking about with dabi's backstory

Considering he's linked to his vestige self within Shigaraki it would make sense that New Order could find its way into the vestige world of his actual body.
The official translation is out and the scene of the spirits rebelling was different. He said "impossible even new order didnt manage this! they were spurred on by this?" inferring jiro's heartbeat is causing the souls in the vestige world to rebel.
Yeah, the translations seem split on the whole thing. The official English translation seems to imply that Jirou’s emotions are resonating through her sound waves and influencing the vestiges. Which is kind of a call back to her flashback from the school festival, her reaching people with her music and all that jazz.
See, this is where Eri could be detrimental or catastrophic. Bc she is the best ACE the heroes have. She could wind AFO back to a state where he had developed his own quirk. Or if she doesn't go back far enough, could return him back to his prime. But that depends on how he steals quirks. Bc if he can acquire her quirk before she is able to wind him back far enough to a state where he isn't able to control her and his quirk. We all know that AFO will lose in the end bc of the very first episode where Deku introduces himself as the greatest hero and how this Manga is a story of how that came to be. But it's obvious that a combination of all the heroes is what it's going to take to take him down. Throw in Eri to wind him back, Eraserhead to slow AFO's quirk acquisitions, and Motoma to copy AFO's original quirk and use it to essentially counter AFO's control of his own quirk. You guys gotta understand, this why MHA's roster is so huge. Oh, and I forgot to mention, some of the villains WILL betray AFO. That's a fact. Bc it's really the only way to get close to him with a little less of a guard, instead of full guard. Bc if you haven't noticed, he always stands far away from EVERYBODY. The only person he lets be close to him is the doctor. And Shikaragi as a child, but not as an adult, only when he wasn't conscious. That's why he had used the TV to communicate with Shikaragi at the bar. He doesn't let anyone get close to him unless he knows he has full control of that person

People overreacting and acting like this fight is over, the same way they overreacted when they thought Toru was the traitor, only to be proven wrong a chapter later. Or when they thought Miruko got one shot by shiggy. I have a feeling that Endeavour's still going to be the one to take him on. I'd rather focus on discussing how the visages could be summoned like that, Though I'm pretty sure we're not going to get a reason, beside it'll be emotional when "say you run" plays behind it during the anime lol. The fight isn't going to be that long with the current pacing let's let it finish up before we just jump the gun and criticize it too harshly.
I know this doesn't relate to this released chapter, but I had to make this comment. MHA Vigilantes ended and I wonder if any of those characters will show up in this final war Arc. Also Number 6 had a crazy blaze of glory finish and I fear that a more perfected form of that will happen to Dabi and his flames.

I don’t think that the characters got ruined we are in the last arc and students and villains have to realize that playtime is over and that being a hero and villain is a serious work or decision that could cost your life
Maybe not ruined but after so long of the majority barley doing anything, just jumping the gun now feels underwhelming. And going against AFO of all people feels so damn jarring.
In every chapter we hear a cringy speech by these stupid 1st year kids and then they get power to destroy even AFO. For me no matter what character if its not Deku, Endeavour, Star and stripe or all might there attack should not work on AFO but now even a girl with headphone as ear is destroying AFO. Do you get where the problem is?

I honestly think that Jirou is going to die. I don't think that AFO is dumb enough to let her live or keep her quirk, since there would be nothing better as a demonstration of a "MAIN" character to use "SIDE" characters to elevate them.

I feel like we’re heavily missing a AFO flashback to his reason for being evil. This chapter would have been a great moment to do it. It’d have established an break in character further cementing his eventual defeat. Maybe just not yet.
I think it would be interesting to find out. But much like other peoples quirks guiding their personalities, he was just born evil. With a quirk to take quirks he would always have been greedy and want to take them from people. Its the same reason his brother was good, he was born with a quirk that could be given he was always selfless.

As for why Jirou I think she was picked specifically for the mask. Her attack have been shown to go through mask in the Joint Training Arc. Plus there’s the whole using sound to shatter glass aspect which while a stretch I can accept as too a reason why she was chosen here. The only thing I’m on the fence about is the visages cause from the comments half say it’s from SnS quirks, while the other half say what the official English translation says and says it’s from Jirou herself. On that note I’m just reading this thing like I’m watching a marvel action blockbuster, so I’m not thinking of anything too deeply. So I’m going to wait til the whole of this arc is complete before making judgement and criticism. Though I have been enjoying the past 4-5 chapters, but we’ll see how it holds once I have the whole picture.
I don’t care what anyone has to say, Jiro has easily become one of the Top 5 best female characters in this series. Losing half her quirk, and having the boldness to insult AFO says enough.

The AFO quirk seems to be just another OFA at heart, so it'd make sense that it could travel through one copy to the other since it's basically a meeting place of quirks filled with the original users wills. All Might's vestige is already in OFA and he's still kicking, and everyone else that had OFA can even talk to deku while being dead so none of this is a stretch. For all we know they could take over Deku's body if they had a strong enough will to, just like AFO
I feel like final order managed to get to this version of AFO due to him and the second one being connected together via a certain quirk AFO has, this would explain why he is willing to now die to save that other him rather than buy more time like he has been doing for decades between letting himself get captured and when he goes into hiding
Here we go! Another great fight chapter. Endeavor is just laying on the ground shaking. Of course he is! He’s going to be shaken the rest of the fight. Seeds of doubt are the WORST. So Hawks, Tokoyami, and Jiro take center stage against AFO. And BOY is Hawks shaken too. He is so freaking scared of the kids getting blown out of the sky. And I love the detail AFO is just scanning the 3 of them to figure out how to derail their emotional states. And his chatterbox fingers as I call them are just the FREAKIEST things. And Jiro getting carried by Hawks to stay in the fight made my heart drop. And the kids are all shaking with fear fighting AFO and I love it. Jiro recognizing delayed goosebumps is JUST like when AFO was destroying Kamino. (Right before Best Jeanist got impaled BAD) And that look in her eyes recognizing the terror Izuku and Aoyama go up against. That’s the look of recognizing pure terror. Only for AFO to KNOW, point his new freak quirk cannon at them, and nearly obliterate them while also nearly taking Hawks out of the sky and GOD does that look like a nightmare. And I HATE that every time he KNOWS he got meaningful hits he hits them emotionally. Because that strategy is near impossible for ANYONE to overcome. Jiro looks like HALF HER FACE IS RIPPED OFF and I’m shocked more didn’t blow right off with her ear chord. And her way of pushing through is just awesome. She REALLY looks up to Deku’s methods because this is ABSOLUTELY his thing. Getting torn apart only to come out screaming in the most BADASS way, blowing shit up, all the while screaming not about her victory, but screaming about someone else she wants to keep protected. AFO spitting on MORE beliefs…and then the big reveal. And it’s not a good one. (Not narratively. I was pleased) New Order seems to have infected AFO and his extra quirks seem to be rebelling. (Not as intensely) And he SMILES. As now we have a REAL problem. AFO never TOUCHED New Order. And AFS STILL hasn’t gone 100%. And I said the only thing that could make Shigaraki more of a threat is if he regained all his old quirks SaS got out of him. And that VERY well could include New Order itself. And therein lies the rub. Who is to say AFS going 100%…doesn’t ALSO get AFO to do the same? And uh….for a 200 year old man to regain all the quirks he has lost…might not be much different than returning to prime altogether. Whether it changes him back to his mysterious white hair appearance FROM that, I am not sure. Or it might just return all his quirks and then he knows he needs to find Eri at that EXACT moment. And seeing the Abomination’s melted face again still freaks me out. Don’t think it will help much considering that area doesn’t appear to be where his life support is. And I REALLY don’t know how AFO is going to respond to that. He tends to do everything you’re not ready for.
"AFO never touched the new order." Not that we saw, i will admit it still is a massive plot hole as an event as big as this should've been shown to add more realism to the situation but it is possible that we just didn't see AFO meet the new order in any way, even if it was through the quirk itself and not AFO, it still gives potential value to Shigaraki vs Deku in future chapters
@@saltstorm1025 I get the hunch it’s tied to the 100% approaching for Shigaraki. And it somehow effects AFO as well since they are in the amalgamated state within AFS. It’s something we don’t have enough information on just yet. The vestiges only matter to AFO and OFA after all, so we might be starting to see just how nuts that gets.
When you look into the words of Afo it kinda sounds like they have the quirks shared between the two of them at all times and if that’s the case then New Order infected him as a result of the link.
The vestiges didn't turn on AFO because of New Order. They turned on him because of Jirou's determination, since seeing a "weakling" like her stand her ground against a monster like AFO even after suffering such a devastating blow stirred them in a way someone REALLY powerful like an OFA user couldn't. AFO himself literally discards the former explanation for the latter. Plus, this AFO is working with an inferior duplicate version of his original Quirk, which may also weaken his hold on the wills of the vestiges.
I can very much see Hawks and Endeavor dying but not tokoyami or Jirou. I can see Deku having to face AFO and Shigaraki at the same time for the final fight
Deku will have 3 Rounds against Shigaraki and All For One once he reach to him on the future chapters Round 1 at UA Flying Fortress with Dynamight to destroy Shigarak's Quirk Singularity Round 2 Shigaraki transforms by rebirthing himself into Moth that grows Wings and blows up the whole UA Flying Fortress and cause it to crash into the Ocean or Mountains Final Round Shigaraki takes Deku to Outer Space alone to settle The Final Battle against each other

Damn narrator sounding like AFO’s successor the way he is talking down on Jiro’s “crendentials”. She is a hero nonetheless. All for is weakened yet still insanely strong but not infallible. Also a possible answer to you uncertainty with the quirks rebelling within AFO. He is practically a living breathing quirk singularity incarnate. Stealing, adapting, combining and initiating multiple quirks is practically the overall theme behind the quirk singularity theory in general. I taking New Order within him he may have subconsciously merged it with the others thus the rebel factor influencing the other “quirk consciousness” within. Just a possible idea.
It's no one's fault, but the mistranslations on the early JN release vs the original translations REALLY screwed up the early analysis this time. Particularly on AFO. Cause it being translated "New order is causing this" instead of "Not even new order caused this" is a BIGGGGGG difference.
I think we all can agree that these recent chapters has been underwhelming. Not saying that it's bad not at all, but definitely not as good or hype as let's say Pain arc from Naruto or the Madara reveal. I hope the anime change a few things because I'm sure Horikoshi sensei is tired and just want to end the series as fast as possible. No disrespect to Horikoshi sensei he's a great storyteller and mangaka

I've heard it said how Jiro losing her ear takes half her effectiveness as a hero and as a musician, but I don't think I've heard anyone mention how it might also hurt her on another (admittedly lower) level. Jiro's already got a lot of insecurities about her looks; assuming she survives, I don't think a deformity as obvious as a missing ear will help that. Edit: as someone pointed out to me elsewhere, if this does wreck her confidence, how much do you want to bet that'll be where Kaminari comes in?
If one of the students died, this will be super dark! Speaking of the students, I wonder what the other hero students from the other hero schools are doing at the moment. And if they have a tech that can restore Jiro's ear, that would be a nice relief because she needed both earphone jacks to function properly.
AFO actually didn't say it was New Order. He said it was the weakness of these people that had stirred the wills of these quirks within him. Meaning that without the true AFO Quirk he cannot maintain control. There are still consciousness inside of those stolen quirks to be sitrred.

The problem with her quirk, theoretically speaking, is she can heal many characters’ permanent injuries. Deku breaking his bones, rewind; All Might’s injury, rewind; Jiro’s ear, rewind; AFO’s injuries if he took her quirk, rewind; Mirio losing his quirk, rewind; Aizawa’s lost eye, rewind. I can go on and on. With Rewind existing, it makes characters suffering big injuries like Deku shattering his bones for example not that serious because Eri can just rewind it.

There’s a war happening that’s basically Armageddon, his best friends are participating, and he got his quirk back, so where the hell is he? You know, one of the strongest students at UA. During the first war, he shows up out of nowhere, punches a Nomu, and literally disappears off the face of the Earth. No one has mentioned him since which is odd considering he was a big character during the Overhaul and Festival arcs and was designed to be a perfect foil to Deku.

AfO is considerably weaker than when he faced prime one for all and he is probably in the process of transferring his consciousness over to shigaraki so I don't think he can fight at full power which is why all these guys can hold him down. I think as well that given AfOs connection to the meteorite that gave everyone quirks to begin with and his ability to give and take quirks plus the quirk singularity coming to pass this last fight will end in the destruction of all quirks and the aging quirk all for one has used will be destroyed along with it within the vestige world.

I think jiro will be heal back to her prime when eri learns how to control her quirk and by what we seen in the war arc it looks like she does have control over her quirk

This will NOT be the defeat of AFO’s main body. We saw him still fight All Might with parts of the mask broken and still be fine. My guess is that from this point on, AFO will begin to panic and have a mental breakdown as the battle progresses and these people who he thought were nothing more than weak side characters prove to be so much more in the face of absolute evil. They’re what Star and Stripes warned him about in her final message to AFO: true heroes.

@@omegashark1837 yep, although I have a more fitting end in mind. As cruel as it sounds, what if they actually did being Eri to the battlefield to help. This could go in two direction that ultimately lead to the same place, either she uses her power, or he steals and uses her power incorrectly on himself and ends up making himself quirkless. Or, she’s meant to serve as bait since AFO would obviously want to go after the one quirk that could return him to his prime, but they get the jump on him as he tries to take it. His obsession of quirks leads to his downfall, and him becoming quirkless for the rest of his life would be perfect if you ask me. The AFO in Shigaraki will have to go, though.

His whole character is being 3 steps ahead of everyone else, besides it would be bullshit if Jiro, Tokoyami, Hawks, and Endeavor beat AFO when All Might couldn't fully subdue him. It would invalidate how strong Prime All Might really is. Some might view your theory as plausible but it doesn't make sense. The whole series is AFO vs OFA, for some randoms to beat someone with all sorts of quirk combinations that is way more experienced than those randoms
@@george8596 to be fair, this AFO is probably slightly weaker than his last fight, who was MUCH weaker than he was in his prime, and this technically isn’t the real AFO. The real one (specifically the quirk) is in Shigaraki possession. I think what you said might happen is what will happen to the heroes fighting Shigaraki. I think it’s more fitting for AFO (the person) to be defeated by the “side characters” while the true source of evil is taken down by the main character (and Bakugo of course, since he is there and is a secondary protagonist).
I honestly love Jiro being in this fight. Not only is it spontaneous and keeps the story interesting/unpredictable, it makes ~a little~ sense. She's the only character in Class 1-A with a long range quirk besides Aoyama (and Deku/Todoroki), but we already know his connection to AFO so it wouldn't be as impactful to see him here. Plus if he fired a Navel Laser at AFO's mask, he could've simply blocked it with his hand or something. Jiro's sound on the other hand can't be blocked and travels through solid objects, which would be a perfect opening to break the mask. Since her sound moves are based on her heartbeat, I'd imagine they would be extra strong in this fight since her heart probably hasn't beat as fast/strongly up until now. Plus the fact that she IS a side character is perfect, since AFO has been spewing his demon king main character nonsense the whole battle. If he was to get taken out by a "side" character in his eyes and in ours, it would be all the more impactful. Plus everyone is a side character in everybody else's life, but a main character in their own. It shows that you don't have to stick to traditional storytelling techniques, and that all characters are powerful in their own right. Plus with the vestiges, idk if its bc of New Order or not but if not, her sound-based quirk could be the perfect scapegoat for them suddenly "awakening". It just seems like she was meant to be in this final fight so I'm curious to see where this goes. I personally don't think she'll be able to take him out by herself, even with Hawks there. But she wasn't thrown into this fight for no reason (unless she was idk) so who knows. Plus seeing an official battle on the wikia titled "Hawks, Tsukuyomi, and Earphone Jack vs All For One" is kinda badass
What would be interesting is if Shigaraki does get his hands on Deku and tries to steal OFA, New Order reverses this and causes Deku to take some of AFO's stolen Quirks as well as New Order giving him the advantage he needs to fight back.
I don't like how they just speed through this last part. I feel like a lot of characters arcs have been skipped over especially Aizawa and his undead friend they kinda ruined that arc. I just don't like it. I feel like this was rushed. The pacing was too slow and now the story is just rushing to the end. I personally find My Hero Academia Vigilantes more appealing especially since it focuses more on heroes outside of school. That and Aizawa is not overshadowed by Allmight. Another thing I hate about the main series it's like Aizawa is overlook as a teacher. Before someone comments no he doesn't sleep all the damn time he works at night as a pro. Deku says this in the first season and obviously he works the students in areas that need it. In one season he worked with the kids struggling to make sure they caught up and did better. Why do people miss this I don't know it just goes back to what I said before he's overshadowed especially as a teacher. They exclude him from the movies too I find it kinda bs the last movie he's shown in the opening but never has any scenes yet Mic dose. We get like a few glimpse of Aizawa that's it. Sorry just kinda ticked with how they've been going about the manga and anime.
'Edo' AFO won't lose, but he wasn't planning on keeping that body anyway. He will continue to nuke and troll until Shigaraki is ready for full takeover. AFO is Counting On Midoriya to 'save' Shigiraki in order for his/their body to completely belong to AFO. He already believes it was all his to begin with. And Shigaraki is no different.
I bet the AFO who is battle them is a copy made by Twice's quirk. Ujiko/Garaki made a nomu that had a copy of Twice's quirk, and, since Double makes a weaker version of a person, it could be possible that those quirks could be fighting him because he is a weaker version of himself- unable to wield all those quirks physically.
AFO's reaction is a translation error. He says, "Even New Order couldn't affect me on this level." Jiro's heartbeat stirred the wills of the quirks inside AFO, she is a bard after all.
The official translations of many languages for this chapter seem to be split between this being because of New Order or because of Jirou’s determination echoing through the vestige world through her sound waves. Which would be in line of the prior reach people through music thing her parents told back during the school festival.
We all know ALL FOR ONE (AFO) is able to take quirks willing and/or unwillingly from someone while ONE FOR ALL (OFA) needs to passed on to someone absolutely willingly. When AFO tried to steal new order and killed the hero Stars and Stripes her visage and will was strong enough to create a visage and burn out AFOs quirks so that his arsenal was limited and weakened. What I think is that what she did allowed those who’s quirks AFO stole learn to manifest themselves and limit AFO meaning that shikaraki and AFO will be fighting not only multiple heros, but the wills of the quirks that were stolen as well.

I think you're too critical. It doesn't matter who beats AFO himself, he was never truly that guy yes in universe he's the "the big threat" but Shigaraki has always been the bigger focus and thematically the biggest threat, with his body AFO could do things he is physically unable to do now so let Jiro help take down this one, it's a defective body anyway at this point and she has the literal top 2 backing her. Sorry but that really pissed me off. Also just to clarify this is why I think you should cover the official translations. In the official translation it specifies that New Order COULDNT do this, and that the spirits within AFO acted out because of AFO was being defied so heavily so they were inspired to rebel. I'm sorry if any of this seemed confrontational external factors have left my patience very thin. But the translation in AFO stuff in chapter is important.
I know some have mixed feelings on Jiro stunning AfO to leave that opening for Hawks to attack, but personally I view it in the same way as when Tien used his attacks to hold off Imperfect Cell long enough for the rest of the cast to escape on DBZ.
I am calling it the vestige world is not exclusive to OFA or AFO, but is a real place and thus AFO is being affected by the vestiges who have waited for this moment.

if jirou or tokoyami dont die or get even more seriously injured, than lets say endeavour or hawks its going to be weird, dont get me wrong i dont want them to die but maybe having one of them die would feel pretty realistic to me, i mean AFO is someone all might had trouble taking down, this is the guy who is called demon king, the guy who has been pulling strings and been planning for a long time if he had trouble with hawks or endeavour, I understand that cause they are por heroes and not just pros, they are the number one and two it would make sense if the are hard to take down but, kids like jirou and tokoyami shouldn't be a problem for him. but those were just my thoughts on the chapter, most chapters for MHA for me have been feeling extremely rushed so I've kind of lost attention for them.

The quirk afo being affected by new order would make sense, as Star and Stripe did say that Star and Stripes did say that her quirk would affect afo, meaning the quirk itself. Maybe the people’s consciousness being awakened is due to being singled out by new order to be targeted and destroyed instead of just being a stockpile of quirks, so basically a wake up call like, “Hey! I’m coming to get YOU!” And then the quirks within afo react to that being singled out and become self aware, which then allows them to regain their personalities, which makes sense as I don’t think it was ever said that the personalities or vestiges of the people were erased when taken into afo.
I’m pretty sure it’s actually stated that taking someone’s quirk is like taking a part of them in general like their soul or being I’m pretty certain it’s been used that way to describe the vestige world in general when it came to deku atleast
But why would it effect AFO's body? Shiguraki was the one originally infected, and he purged the quirk from his body.
I’ve been thinking it’s meant to show a point of connection between the 2 live holders of AFO. What happens to AFS happens to AFO. And it’ll get nutty when AFS goes 100%. And I think that because I’m pretty sure there is a point of connection between live OFA holders as well. And I’ve got that side worked out pretty well. Guess I should have figured most things that apply to OFA should also apply to AFO in some warped fashion.

As we all know, AFO wants to (I think) make Shigaraki his new vessel. His old, ragged & deteriorating body should be losing strength by each passing day, the only things keeping him alive being his mask & quirks.

So essentially everyone is joking about what an 'amazing' film it is, referencing all their favorite scenes that they memorized by heart after 'watching it' 10 times. But it's morbin time is his catch phrase, I should know, I went and saw the film nonstop on opening weekend. 11/10 would recommend.
I don't see AFO going down so easily. Sure, they may have destroyed his mask, but his battle with All Might shows that he can survive for a while even after it's damaged. Also, I think AFO will be even more dangerous from here on out. His fight with Star and Stripe shows that AFO can be terrifying when he's genuinely angry, so for a "side character" like Jirou to embarrass him like this... Yeah, he's gonna go all out next chapter.
Also, I slightly disagree with you about the "no characters" dying thing. While I can't see Horikoshi killing off one of the Class 1-A students (though it would be pretty ballsy if he did), I CAN see something like Endeavor sacrificing himself to take out All For One once and for all.
Now as for the vestige rebellion thing... I remember during the PLW arc when AFO, Shigaraki, and Midoriya were in the vestige world, AFO mentioned that the lingering wills of those whose Quirks he stole would hurl abuse his way, so maybe this was what Horikoshi was building to. But I do agree that it's a little too convenient for it to happen during the final battle right when the heroes need to turn the tide in the fight. But I also believe that this is Horikoshi foreshadowing how Midoriya will ultimately defeat Shigaraki. Maybe somehow Shigaraki will get One For All, leading to a final battle within the vestige world where Midoriya will destroy the All For One Quirk, freeing Shigaraki from AFO's influence.
All for one vs endeavour is gonna be bad its gonna involve endeavour burning him to nothing tho or endeavour is gonna be killed after defeating all for one

Yeah, the translations seem split on the whole thing. The official English translation seems to imply that Jirou’s emotions are resonating through her sound waves and influencing the vestiges. See, this is where Eri could be detrimental or catastrophic. Bc she is the best ACE the heroes have. She could wind AFO back to a state where he had developed his own quirk. Or if she doesn't go back far enough, could return him back to his prime. But that depends on how he steals quirks. Bc if he can acquire her quirk before she is able to wind him back far enough to a state where he isn't able to control her and his quirk. We all know that AFO will lose in the end bc of the very first episode where Deku introduces himself as the greatest hero and how this Manga is a story of how that came to be. But it's obvious that a combination of all the heroes is what it's going to take to take him down. Throw in Eri to wind him back, Eraserhead to slow AFO's quirk acquisitions, and Motoma to copy AFO's original quirk and use it to essentially counter AFO's control of his own quirk. You guys gotta understand, this why MHA's roster is so huge. Oh, and I forgot to mention, some of the villains WILL betray AFO. That's a fact. Bc it's really the only way to get close to him with a little less of a guard, instead of full guard. Bc if you haven't noticed, he always stands far away from EVERYBODY. Also Number 6 had a crazy blaze of glory finish and I fear that a more perfected form of that will happen to Dabi and his flames.

I think it would be interesting to find out. But much like other peoples quirks guiding their personalities, he was just born evil. With a quirk to take quirks he would always have been greedy and want to take them from people. Its the same reason his brother was good, he was born with a quirk that could be given he was always selfless.

As for why Jirou I think she was picked specifically for the mask. Her attack have been shown to go through mask in the Joint Training Arc. Plus there’s the whole using sound to shatter glass aspect which while a stretch I can accept as too a reason why she was chosen here.
The only thing I’m on the fence about is the visages cause from the comments half say it’s from SnS quirks, while the other half say what the official English translation says and says it’s from Jirou herself.
On that note I’m just reading this thing like I’m watching a marvel action blockbuster, so I’m not thinking of anything too deeply. So I’m going to wait til the whole of this arc is complete before making judgement and criticism.
Though I have been enjoying the past 4-5 chapters, but we’ll see how it holds once I have the whole picture.

The AFO quirk seems to be just another OFA at heart, so it'd make sense that it could travel through one copy to the other since it's basically a meeting place of quirks filled with the original users wills. All Might's vestige is already in OFA and he's still kicking, and everyone else that had OFA can even talk to deku while being dead so none of this is a stretch. For all we know they could take over Deku's body if they had a strong enough will to, just like AFO

Endeavor is just laying on the ground shaking. Of course he is! He’s going to be shaken the rest of the fight. Seeds of doubt are the WORST.
So Hawks, Tokoyami, and Jiro take center stage against AFO. And BOY is Hawks shaken too. He is so freaking scared of the kids getting blown out of the sky. And I love the detail AFO is just scanning the 3 of them to figure out how to derail their emotional states. And his chatterbox fingers as I call them are just the FREAKIEST things. And Jiro getting carried by Hawks to stay in the fight made my heart drop.
And the kids are all shaking with fear fighting AFO and I love it. Jiro recognizing delayed goosebumps is JUST like when AFO was destroying Kamino. (Right before Best Jeanist got impaled BAD) And that look in her eyes recognizing the terror Izuku and Aoyama go up against. That’s the look of recognizing pure terror. Only for AFO to KNOW, point his new freak quirk cannon at them, and nearly obliterate them while also nearly taking Hawks out of the sky and GOD does that look like a nightmare. And I HATE that every time he KNOWS he got meaningful hits he hits them emotionally. Because that strategy is near impossible for ANYONE to overcome.
Jiro looks like HALF HER FACE IS RIPPED OFF and I’m shocked more didn’t blow right off with her ear chord. And her way of pushing through is just awesome. She REALLY looks up to Deku’s methods because this is ABSOLUTELY his thing. Getting torn apart only to come out screaming in the most BADASS way, blowing shit up, all the while screaming not about her victory, but screaming about someone else she wants to keep protected.
AFO spitting on MORE beliefs…and then the big reveal. And it’s not a good one. (Not narratively. I was pleased) New Order seems to have infected AFO and his extra quirks seem to be rebelling. (Not as intensely) And he SMILES. As now we have a REAL problem. AFO never TOUCHED New Order. And AFS STILL hasn’t gone 100%. And I said the only thing that could make Shigaraki more of a threat is if he regained all his old quirks SaS got out of him. And that VERY well could include New Order itself. And therein lies the rub. Who is to say AFS going 100%…doesn’t ALSO get AFO to do the same? And uh….for a 200 year old man to regain all the quirks he has lost…might not be much different than returning to prime altogether. Whether it changes him back to his mysterious white hair appearance FROM that, I am not sure. Or it might just return all his quirks and then he knows he needs to find Eri at that EXACT moment.
And seeing the Abomination’s melted face again still freaks me out. Don’t think it will help much considering that area doesn’t appear to be where his life support is. And I REALLY don’t know how AFO is going to respond to that. He tends to do everything you’re not ready for.

Not that we saw, i will admit it still is a massive plot hole as an event as big as this should've been shown to add more realism to the situation but it is possible that we just didn't see AFO meet the new order in any way, even if it was through the quirk itself and not AFO, it still gives potential value to Shigaraki vs Deku in future chapters

@@saltstorm1025 I get the hunch it’s tied to the 100% approaching for Shigaraki. And it somehow effects AFO as well since they are in the amalgamated state within AFS. It’s something we don’t have enough information on just yet. The vestiges only matter to AFO and OFA after all, so we might be starting to see just how nuts that gets.
When you look into the words of Afo it kinda sounds like they have the quirks shared between the two of them at all times and if that’s the case then New Order infected him as a result of the link.
The vestiges didn't turn on AFO because of New Order. They turned on him because of Jirou's determination, since seeing a "weakling" like her stand her ground against a monster like AFO even after suffering such a devastating blow stirred them in a way someone REALLY powerful like an OFA user couldn't. AFO himself literally discards the former explanation for the latter. Plus, this AFO is working with an inferior duplicate version of his original Quirk, which may also weaken his hold on the wills of the vestiges.

Damn narrator sounding like AFO’s successor the way he is talking down on Jiro’s “crendentials”. She is a hero nonetheless. All for is weakened yet still insanely strong but not infallible.
Also a possible answer to you uncertainty with the quirks rebelling within AFO. He is practically a living breathing quirk singularity incarnate. Stealing, adapting, combining and initiating multiple quirks is practically the overall theme behind the quirk singularity theory in general. I taking New Order within him he may have subconsciously merged it with the others thus the rebel factor influencing the other “quirk consciousness” within. Just a possible idea.
It's no one's fault, but the mistranslations on the early JN release vs the original translations REALLY screwed up the early analysis this time. Particularly on AFO. Cause it being translated "New order is causing this" instead of "Not even new order caused this" is a BIGGGGGG difference.
I think we all can agree that these recent chapters has been underwhelming. Not saying that it's bad not at all, but definitely not as good or hype as let's say Pain arc from Naruto or the Madara reveal. I hope the anime change a few things because I'm sure Horikoshi sensei is tired and just want to end the series as fast as possible. I've heard it said how Jiro losing her ear takes half her effectiveness as a hero and as a musician, but I don't think I've heard anyone mention how it might also hurt her on another (admittedly lower) level. Jiro's already got a lot of insecurities about her looks; assuming she survives, I don't think a deformity as obvious as a missing ear will help that.
Edit: as someone pointed out to me elsewhere, if this does wreck her confidence, how much do you want to bet that'll be where Kaminari comes in?
If one of the students died, this will be super dark! Speaking of the students, I wonder what the other hero students from the other hero schools are doing at the moment. And if they have a tech that can restore Jiro's ear, that would be a nice relief because she needed both earphone jacks to function properly.

The problem with her quirk, theoretically speaking, is she can heal many characters’ permanent injuries. Deku breaking his bones, rewind; All Might’s injury, rewind; Jiro’s ear, rewind; AFO’s injuries if he took her quirk, rewind; Mirio losing his quirk, rewind; Aizawa’s lost eye, rewind. I can go on and on. With Rewind existing, it makes characters suffering big injuries like Deku shattering his bones for example not that serious because Eri can just rewind it.

No one has mentioned him since which is odd considering he was a big character during the Overhaul and Festival arcs and was designed to be a perfect foil to Deku.

AfO is considerably weaker than when he faced prime one for all and he is probably in the process of transferring his consciousness over to shigaraki so I don't think he can fight at full power which is why all these guys can hold him down.
I think as well that given AfOs connection to the meteorite that gave everyone quirks to begin with and his ability to give and take quirks plus the quirk singularity coming to pass this last fight will end in the destruction of all quirks and the aging quirk all for one has used will be destroyed along with it within the vestige world.

THIS. This is what I came to say. The translation most of these UA-camrs are using must be an early one.
This will NOT be the defeat of AFO’s main body. We saw him still fight All Might with parts of the mask broken and still be fine. My guess is that from this point on, AFO will begin to panic and have a mental breakdown as the battle progresses and these people who he thought were nothing more than weak side characters prove to be so much more in the face of absolute evil. They’re what Star and Stripes warned him about in her final message to AFO: true heroes.

This could go in two direction that ultimately lead to the same place, either she uses her power, or he steals and uses her power incorrectly on himself and ends up making himself quirkless. Or, she’s meant to serve as bait since AFO would obviously want to go after the one quirk that could return him to his prime, but they get the jump on him as he tries to take it. His obsession of quirks leads to his downfall, and him becoming quirkless for the rest of his life would be perfect if you ask me. The AFO in Shigaraki will have to go, though.

It would invalidate how strong Prime All Might really is. Some might view your theory as plausible but it doesn't make sense. The whole series is AFO vs OFA, for some randoms to beat someone with all sorts of quirk combinations that is way more experienced than those randoms
@@george8596 to be fair, this AFO is probably slightly weaker than his last fight, who was MUCH weaker than he was in his prime, and this technically isn’t the real AFO. The real one (specifically the quirk) is in Shigaraki possession. I think what you said might happen is what will happen to the heroes fighting Shigaraki. I think it’s more fitting for AFO (the person) to be defeated by the “side characters” while the true source of evil is taken down by the main character (and Bakugo of course, since he is there and is a secondary protagonist).
I honestly love Jiro being in this fight. Not only is it spontaneous and keeps the story interesting/unpredictable, it makes ~a little~ sense. She's the only character in Class 1-A with a long range quirk besides Aoyama (and Deku/Todoroki), but we already know his connection to AFO so it wouldn't be as impactful to see him here. Plus if he fired a Navel Laser at AFO's mask, he could've simply blocked it with his hand or something. Jiro's sound on the other hand can't be blocked and travels through solid objects, which would be a perfect opening to break the mask. Since her sound moves are based on her heartbeat, I'd imagine they would be extra strong in this fight since her heart probably hasn't beat as fast/strongly up until now. Plus the fact that she IS a side character is perfect, since AFO has been spewing his demon king main character nonsense the whole battle. If he was to get taken out by a "side" character in his eyes and in ours, it would be all the more impactful. Plus everyone is a side character in everybody else's life, but a main character in their own. It shows that you don't have to stick to traditional storytelling techniques, and that all characters are powerful in their own right. Plus with the vestiges, idk if its bc of New Order or not but if not, her sound-based quirk could be the perfect scapegoat for them suddenly "awakening". It just seems like she was meant to be in this final fight so I'm curious to see where this goes. I personally don't think she'll be able to take him out by herself, even with Hawks there. But she wasn't thrown into this fight for no reason (unless she was idk) so who knows.
Plus seeing an official battle on the wikia titled "Hawks, Tsukuyomi, and Earphone Jack vs All For One" is kinda badass

I don't like how they just speed through this last part. I feel like a lot of characters arcs have been skipped over especially Aizawa and his undead friend they kinda ruined that arc. I just don't like it. I feel like this was rushed. The pacing was too slow and now the story is just rushing to the end. I personally find My Hero Academia Vigilantes more appealing especially since it focuses more on heroes outside of school. That and Aizawa is not overshadowed by Allmight. Another thing I hate about the main series it's like Aizawa is overlook as a teacher. Before someone comments no he doesn't sleep all the damn time he works at night as a pro. Deku says this in the first season and obviously he works the students in areas that need it. In one season he worked with the kids struggling to make sure they caught up and did better. Why do people miss this I don't know it just goes back to what I said before he's overshadowed especially as a teacher. They exclude him from the movies too I find it kinda bs the last movie he's shown in the opening but never has any scenes yet Mic dose. We get like a few glimpse of Aizawa that's it. Sorry just kinda ticked with how they've been going about the manga and anime.

I bet the AFO who is battle them is a copy made by Twice's quirk. Ujiko/Garaki made a nomu that had a copy of Twice's quirk, and, since Double makes a weaker version of a person, it could be possible that those quirks could be fighting him because he is a weaker version of himself- unable to wield all those quirks physically.

We all know ALL FOR ONE (AFO) is able to take quirks willing and/or unwillingly from someone while ONE FOR ALL (OFA) needs to passed on to someone absolutely willingly. When AFO tried to steal new order and killed the hero Stars and Stripes her visage and will was strong enough to create a visage and burn out AFOs quirks so that his arsenal was limited and weakened. What I think is that what she did allowed those who’s quirks AFO stole learn to manifest themselves and limit AFO meaning that shikaraki and AFO will be fighting not only multiple heros, but the wills of the quirks that were stolen as well.

I think you're too critical. It doesn't matter who beats AFO himself, he was never truly that guy yes in universe he's the "the big threat" but Shigaraki has always been the bigger focus and thematically the biggest threat, with his body AFO could do things he is physically unable to do now so let Jiro help take down this one, it's a defective body anyway at this point and she has the literal top 2 backing her. Sorry but that really pissed me off. Also just to clarify this is why I think you should cover the official translations. In the official translation it specifies that New Order COULDNT do this, and that the spirits within AFO acted out because of AFO was being defied so heavily so they were inspired to rebel.
I'm sorry if any of this seemed confrontational external factors have left my patience very thin. But the translation in AFO stuff in chapter is important.
I know some have mixed feelings on Jiro stunning AfO to leave that opening for Hawks to attack, but personally I view it in the same way as when Tien used his attacks to hold off Imperfect Cell long enough for the rest of the cast to escape on DBZ.

I could see AFO completely messing with them. As in they destroy his mask and he just shrugs it off saying he never really needed it. He's way too smart to have an obvious weakness like that
if jirou or tokoyami dont die or get even more seriously injured, than lets say endeavour or hawks its going to be weird, dont get me wrong i dont want them to die but maybe having one of them die would feel pretty realistic to me, i mean AFO is someone all might had trouble taking down, this is the guy who is called demon king, the guy who has been pulling strings and been planning for a long time if he had trouble with hawks or endeavour, I understand that cause they are por heroes and not just pros, they are the number one and two it would make sense if the are hard to take down but, kids like jirou and tokoyami shouldn't be a problem for him.
but those were just my thoughts on the chapter, most chapters for MHA for me have been feeling extremely rushed so I've kind of lost attention for them.

i think everyone fighting all for one is only there to stall him cause my theory is that all for one and siguraki are going to be the last two fights and those who can still fight and can find a way to get to one of them will show up to aid in a battle like you would see in western comics
I don't think Horikoshi will kill jirou off but if he did I want to see a nomu come out of no where and bite her head off at the last moment of 4 thinking they defeated AFO .
Imagine Jiro actually starting to slowly die from her injuries, & by the time Izuku came to save the day, it be too late, also I imagine Jiro pulling off the “Hinata act” to Deku before dying in the process, he would suddenly be enraged, as well as Tokoyami, both of them would channel their godlike *RAGE* from within, and beat unholy hell out of AFO, that would be freakin’ NUTS tbh
I hope we get something like that in future chapters, more impactful and realistic.

simple new order due to the last order could move through the vestige world. I actually like that AfO is getting pressed by what yall keep calling nobody heroes she likey wont take him down thats over hyping her contribution to make it a complaint she lost an entire ear which for her is like losing a limb. What are any of the students "credentials" they are students only a few have actually had real hardcore engagement, its about sending the right quirks for the situation not who ever has the highest takedown count.
