I agree it messes with the process of making up a melody. I don't mind seeing rhythm though because that actually helps and feels like playing with a band mate.
What I like about this track is it makes me go a half hour between tokes.

Dude The fact you explained about the Dorian being similar to minor and showing them that’s awesome man really helps people understand it more
It's a good step for a portion of the fretboard, yeah, you're right. I would practice the understanding the key of G from the lowest note on your fretboard to the highest.

Alright, made it through all three (E, B, and A) in one day!
My roots are more in metal and hard rock but man what a fun track to improvise and play to! A Dorian is the G Major scale, so playing G Major 3 notes per string you can really come up with some cool phrasing over this. Mix in some other minor modes like A Aeolian ( C Major ) some minor pentatonic scales and arpeggios and you'll have a lot of fun!
Relative modes. This is one of the most useful ways to look at and utilize modes in your playing.
23:42 is my personal best, I'll hit that 30 minute mark one day!
Loved jamming with this! I was able to use recent months of serious triad study/practice to play the Am, C, D rhythm all off the 5th fret! So much fun! To try it, Am barre chord on 5th fret , then play C with first finger on 5th fret GD (and B too if desired) strings, use ring finger for 7th fret A string and either mute E string, or fret 8th fret with pinky. Then the D major is also off the 5th fret using the typical A major open chord shape as a barre chord with the root on the 5th string.

HUGE moment of realization here. When playing A Dorian, you can play B minor pentatonic... Respectively, play D major pentatonic over A Dorian and you get that classic Jimmy Page sound. Why did it take so long for me to realize this???

Got a little giddyap in the briskness of the staccato aspect of the rhythm so it kinda makes you feel a bit light stepping without odiousness of overstated or demonstrative push

Track is good and I really like how the graphics include note names, but I really wish you would just put all the graphics on screen and just let me decide what to play. It's difficult to learn these scales when the graphics are moving around and changing every 2 minutes.

Honestly my gut feeling is to question that as well but , @4 minutes is a perfect time for a rest , at maximum it's like 20 seconds. The uploader and creator give us such an awesome track and they should get their due. I wish I could get paid to put up awesome backing tracks but I just jam to them. If you are using it for an audience then I can totally understand that when it's not expected.

Because A Dorian contains the same notes as say D mixolydian- could you also use that over the top?
You could use that as a visual guide if you like, but keep in mind the tonic/root note A. Your phrases will always sound meaningful and complete when you resolve back to this rather than any relative mode like you mentioned D Mixo.
