I think that the six nations needs to add an extra slot and the winner of the European cup goes into that slot, but who ever comes 7th in the 'six nations' the next year gets demoted to the European cup. I think it is a good way of getting tear two nations playing tear one nations.

Georgia, Romania, Russia and even Spain would have achieved way more if they'd had Italy's privileged token 6th spot in the 6 Nations. Come on Europe, let these teams have the chance to get promoted!

I like this French ref. He let the game be open and continuous. Too bad the handling errors were high. Could have been more digits on the screen. But good on Georgia for smashing our team all game long. Man can those buggers pack in a hit. Our AB's will do heaps better in the next game onwards.

I'm loving the fact that we're playing sub par rugby in the Pool stages. It's certainly taken the favourites tag off us and this was against apparently a 'B' georgia squad. Yeah we certainly aren't favourites anymore and I believe we are more than comfortable with that.
+ToBe0rNotToBe1 For sure. ABs put themselves under pressure on purpose in the midfield. They were getting penalties inside their half and opted to run instead of doing to 'right' thing and kick it up-field for the line-out. Clever tactics by Hansen to make sure the team gets some sense of pressure in this game. ABs would have got more points if they played for territory but they chose to keep the game going everywhere on the park.
of course its Georgia but why people think NZ shouldve scored 100 points idk. It wouldve done nothing for Rugby tbhHappy the game wasn't over in the first half hr

What you don't see in the highlights are all the dropped balls, wayward passes and poor kicking from the All Blacks. They did defend well, though, but if they don't lift other aspects of their game they will struggle to make the semis.

Georgia is far more powerful, what plays.
I think NZ have a lot of work to do. This performance was lack luster and lacking with the precision that we know NZ are capable of.
I was not interested in the score on this match, but I was interested in seeing NZ string the basics together first before trying to go all fancy. This failed and NZ looked very ordinary and lacking in communication.
NZ thus far have not improved in this World Cup, and I do not think they will reach the final, if they continue to play wide boy rugby that simply does not work.
Do the basics right first, then go wide boy. All I want to see is NZ do the basics right. The last 2 games NZ have not been doing the basics right.
The game against Argentina was better, but it was still way down on what NZ are capable of achieving.
Australia, Ireland and France are all teams I feel that are currently better than NZ, looking on the form in this World Cup.
Kiwi's, you have been warned, and try not to talk NZ up to highly, because you and I know they are well off the ball at present and massively need to up their game if they are to survive against Ireland or France.
+sambozauk I know your an ABs fan but did you seriously not notice any of the pressure tactics the ABs used in this game Against themselves?
I know they had to many handling errors, way to many in fact, but they were rarely playing for territory because the plan was to get the most out of what happens between the try lines and not on the scoring side. Several penalties they received in their own half were quick tapped and played, which is not normal AT ALL, instead of doing the right thing and kicking up-field for the line-out. It wasn't poor decision making, they needed to get some sense of pressure out of this game so rarely kicked for territory.
I agree that teams such as Ireland and Australia are playing better rugby but I don't think you see what NZ is trying to achieve in their pool games. If you check the team stats on rugbyworldcup.com, you will see that there are 5 nations who are standing out. NZ, Auss, South Africa, Ireland, Argentina with France and Wales on the edge.
Although there will still be errors, I suspect we will see a different game form the ABs against Tonga.
