FITNESS INFLUENCERS VS. US ARMY (Who Is Stronger?)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 лип 2021
- We were invited to compete against the US army and see which team can score higher on the Army Combat Fitness Test. The test has 6 events and challenges every area of athleticism a soldier can have. Strength, agility, aerobic capacity, power, etc. The first event is the standing deadlift, second are power throws, third is the hand release pushup, fourth is the sprint drag and carry, fifth are leg tucks, and finally the 2 mile run is the final event. Both teams were pushed to their limits during this video and the results by the end may surprise you. Enjoy!

I hope that my previous comments were the 100th one.
Anyways, please continue making this type of videos.
Peace✌
Please help me out by making a workout routine video for the whole week.
And if possible please make a diet for vegetarian people
Come on bro you are getting a eight vest! Give him your address and 😎💆
@Luke Emerson where u from
I passed this test in 1972. I'm sure it has changed since then. I would attempt it again today at 74 if they had an ambulance, EMT and burial detail standing by.
Naah. The army's on a tight budget. They'd just have some newbies to bury you, directly. EMT and ambulance would set them back waay too much.
@Anthony_Life I haven't a clue - it was 50 years ago.
hahaha good one
Salute Unc!!
big respect Sir
damn I had to sign a 6 year contract with the Army for a t shirt - you guys got some epic backpacks 🤣😅
Come join the National Guard and we can get you a cool backpack too 😂😂😂

hahaha yeah man we got a lot more stuff inside of the backpack too!

TRUE!!! xD
Bruh, he would do it like some sort of morning routine.
This has to be seen.
Lol his morning routine is like 4 hours long
Honestly makes sense why army did well in the long run of challenges, the way military training works, is they arent' exactly training u to be fit, but they are training you to keep on going even after you are out of energy, so whille they might not have the same level of burst as some fitness people or body builders, they more then make up for it by saying. "I can go the distance then ten times more"
The army trains to make the body perform as efficient as possible, not only focusing on muscular strength but on muscular endurance as well. Most fitness guys only care about their body that's why they only focus on strength while the army trains not only for strength, but for endurance against fatigue and stamina as well
@@basedondeez6986 Yea, wouldn't wanna get tired while running at all
They know how to run like bitches 😏
@@0zkiel0 when you're getting lit up by 7.62 fire, you'd probably want to run to cover first too
Oh I'm sorry I must have missed the part when they are getting shot at in the video 😱
I’m an Army veteran, enlisted at 18 and got out in 2000. When I was in we were just tested in push-ups sit-ups and 2 mile run. I think it’s really cool you did this. When I joined I was 6’1 and 130 pounds and had to work my butt off to gain enough muscle to graduate basic. I never wanna do another push-up again! But so cool watching you hang out with soldiers! I respect you already but it got higher.
How many would u do for muscle

😂😂😂I think we all knew that Brandon would smash all the exercises but the 2 mile run.

The ending was so wholesome!
Congratulations for this special video. Interesting idea and good exercises. Them push-ups looks easy but when you're about to do some of them takes the whole energy out of your body. I will try to do that daily. That circuit exercise is amazing for keeping fit. That leg thuck looks excellent I will try to do that at the gym. Well done National Guards thanks for sharing with us all. Amazing video. Thanks
I find it so cool that you did this, I’ve gotten pretty big into calisthenics and I always watch your channel. Though two months ago I swore into the Army National Guard and we took the ACFT twice. Im 17 and It’s really cool to see someone I look up to doing this :) for the record though I was feeling your pain😂
thank you for supporting! hahaha you know first hand how tough this test can be
@@BrandonWilliamyt yes I do😂👍🏽
Havent done an ACFT yet but I feel like our CFT MUF is worse. With that fireman carry.. not fun.
As an active duty army guy I usually cringe at these video but this one was done nicely. For the ACFT I max all events minus the run… I’m gassed by the time we start. Before the ACFT I was 13:10-13:50 for the 2 miler, now I’m just happy to finish the damn thing.😂
True😂😂 after the Sprint drag carry the two mile hell
the truth in these words...that shit hit me deep. Im happy to get 18 minutes now
Awesome video Brandon! Love the content!
I don't know but this video was heartwarming really great to see young lads chilling with soldiers.
I watched your muscle up video with your camera man and that technique actually inspired me to get a muscle up my self! Keep grinding man, you’re going to be on top sooner or later!! God bless!
What a beast.
We need more content like this, really love this
Great job guys! I don't think I would have survived this APFT. It has changed alot since 2004. wow!
The quality of ur video are getting better and better.
This is a great challenge bro.💫
I've been in the Texas National Guard sometime now and I audibly got excited when I saw the thumbnail. Echoing what MSG said, it's beyond wonderful to see the community actively engaging with the Guard! Big love to the men and women in California and you best believe I'll be watching for that 30 day running challenge :D

Easier to pass, harder to perfect
The sprint drag carry always kills me
Naturally you want to quit once you’re tired, however training your mind and body to keep going beyond the point of exhaustion was something I only learned after Enlisting. Good job to all participants!

Seriously good job. No matter how in shape you are, going into an event that you haven't specifically trained for is going to be tough. That said, National Guard... I mean, let's do some active duty Joes ;)
This looks like a much better PT test than the one I had to do when I was in though.
To be fair, the soldiers that were competing were likely recruiters, like Sgt Alvarez. All National Guard recruiters are AGR (Active Guard/ Reserve). And just like active duty recruiters, they are the face of their branch.
This was great content. 👍
thank you!
this was a really cool idea for a video
not a big military fan but super interesting and all the people seem great
This is awesome and fun too! Subbed! 😊
HRP are easy to pass but harder to max… definitely my favorite event in the ACFT

Greetings from Costa Rica!

Your channel actually deserves 1mil subs tho
thank you! working towards it!

Good job guys💪🏼
You are giving hard work in your videos.Hopefully you will get 200k in before your next video
The three Army guys are PERFECT examples of the three of the four people that take the tests. The tallest one scored the highest but also pushed the limits of what would be acceptable form: arguable lockout on pushups but not so egregious that most would dock him and he treated the knee tuck as more of an alternate pullup by facing outward. Gonzalez received fewer points but had perfect form the whole time. The last guy was a solid average soldier. Obviously they're not going to let someone who'll fail the test be in a youtube video. Would be really curious to see this competition by with some 82nd Airborne, Rangers, or SF participants. Fun video overall. Brandon's run strategy has been tried by every private that was already pushing sub-13:30 run times and it usually turns out like it did here.
Great spirit in this video. I love stuff like this.
Nothing like a friendly competition of working out great vid guys
Damn! Solid video man, respect 🔥

This was awesome ♥️
Funny how i can see all the pratical uses in military for each of these exercises, like throwing bombs and explosives, carrying bodies or hurted companions while escaping, carrying equipment in battlefield, crawling for long times, all of it have some real pratical use if you think about it, they are not random strength exercises.
Climbing, having a steady aim, enduring long runs, the list goes on...
@@davidcardozo290 life goes on and on and on..

Hahah thank you Ben! Dead serious though I’m very disappointed with my cardio 😂

@@BrandonWilliamyt I was being told if your muscle mass is higher your oxygen consumption rises, which means your cardio can suffer. So you‘re just gaining lots of muscle, which makes it harder for you.

If anyone's watching Brandon's videos and still hasn't subscribed, please sub to this legend. He produces such high quality and a great variety of videos every week and I can't believe he only has 191k subs. Get him to 200k, he deserves a mil!!!💪🔥( Also I think 30 days of running would be really cool, I know u were joking but it would make you be even more athletic and get them leg gains💪.... The truth about this is that the army just does what they need to do, whereas the fitness UA-camrs do it just for the sake of it.
To be entirely frank? I like the army way better. But that's not meant to discredit you guys, what you did is fucking awesome and I could never do it myself.
