Dear Magda, this recipe reminds me of our filled walnut shaped cookies that we used to bake around the holiday or the “saratele” recipe with cumin seeds. All those oldies but goodies recipes! Thank you for bringing back some of the good old memories and Merry Christmas everyone!
I learned to make these from our Aunt Yole. Sooo good! She always added anise seeds, so I do also. I might just get my pizzella maker out! You inspired me, Magda!
Yes a wonderful recipe that is so easy to make and so good to much on. We made this recipe when we were kids and added to it seeds of chime for better flavor. Thanks for sharing and posting. Looking for the next delicious recipes.
I just made a batch --they're so delicious 🤤 My iron is not "non stick" so I had to spray it with a little cooking spray to keep them from sticking. I also cut the recipe in half, it worked out great. Merry Christmas!
It seems every time I make these they come out different anyways I want to say your else is very crispy and I really like them and thank you for your recipe Happy Easter 🐇
Happy Easter to you too! One tip is to make the dough a little bit thinner, that should help with consistency. Also, try cooking it 20 to 30 seconds longer, that might help give it a nice crisp! Enjoy :D
Correct! My apologies for that mistake. Since English wasn't my first language I sometimes make subtle errors like this. I'm glad you picked up on this so others can make it the proper way. I like to think I've gotten better with my words, though! Thanks again for pointing this out to us :)
The recipe calls for Baking Powder, and you show Baking Powder in the intro, but you say "Baking SODA" in the video. I hope it's Powder, 'cuz I'm about to try this recipe!
Sorry, we just saw this. It it baking powder! Because English is my second language I sometimes mix up my words, good catch! Let us know how the recipe goes and Merry Christmas :)

I was born in Romania and live in the US!
Where can one purchase a pizzelle maker?:)
You can find them on Amazon! But I’ve also seen them in Target and at Williams-Sonoma as well.
I have a Tefal waffle maker that you can change into different plates, this is one of them
Baking Powder Not Baking Soda like the Video States
