This is not a Beyonce cover. This is Angelina's song . The composer Toby Gad wanted Angelina to reinvent this song as a ballad. This is rearranged by the talented Angelina.

Loved this song. Her rendition is emotional and I just loved it❤. To sing with, and have the approval of one of the songs composers is special too. I find the rich lower tone in the begining really conveys someone who is talking to themselves. The power of her belt conveys the hurt and passion behind the words. Angelina does not sing a song, she feels it. That's the most special of all.

This song was written by Toby Gad (the guy playing the piano here) and BC Jean. The song was first recorded by BC Jean and then by Beyonce. So technically Beyonce version was a cover.

Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome!

It is very simple, Angelina is able to do things with her voice that others wish they could do.
They may have a "great" voice but are limited to their ability to control it.
She puts in chord changes, inflections, flips, scratch, rasp, vibrato, rises, falls or whatever she feels like the song needs.
This song was written by the man on the piano, Toby Gad as part of his new album.
They definitely threw away the cookie cutter when she was created.

Beyonce did a great version of the song and made it popular, but her version was ALSO a cover, the original artist being BC Jean, who co-wrote it with Toby Gad. So yes, it is a cover, but not a Beyonce cover since she was NOT the original artist. I think what upsets people is when it is labelled as a Beyonce cover, which seems to take the credit away from the actual original artist. All of which in no way detracts from the fact that Angelina does a brilliant, superb, beautiful and utterly breathtaking performance, in which she effortlessly displays every aspect and nuance of her unique and beautiful voice and her towering, genius-level vocal technique, transporting you along with her on an emotional journey in which you FEEL every single word.
