I have a feeling that E-Day is gonna be the best and deepest game in the entire series!!! I also love that they're bringing the words "of war" back into the title instead of just Gears.

I love how with 5 and Tactics, they judt titled the franchise as 'Gears' but now with E-day, i think theyve learnt from their mistakes and are genuinely planning to put as much love and effort into this as possible. They've brought back the full title 'Gears of War' and they payed homage to the original trailer with the Mad World motif in this trailer. Im so excited

The first classic Gears of war is peak, it’s a masterpiece. It’s short and sweet and straightforward no audio just the music and the editing gives this haunting feeling that the main protagonist(Marcus) is fighting a complete losing battle. Gears of war 3 trailer is my second favorite, I love how it starts with Dom instead and we see him get knocked down and he gives up right when a Locust comes in to kill him. Dom gets saved by Marcus and Marcus looks down at him with this silent understanding. Gears of war E Day I would say is my third favorite, the nostalgia definitely having an effect. I love seeing this Marcus that is ill prepared and absolutely kicking his ass kicked by this alien creature that he doesn’t know how to kill and softly playing mad world in the background oh man that hit right in the spot. I literally teared up watching the Eday trailer. Gears of war 4 would be my fourth favorite I love how we get to see a settled down Marcus with Anya and the transition from seeing JD as a kid to an adult taking in his father’s shoes. Gears of war 2 is my fifth favorite which is funny considering Gears2 is my favorite out of the series. And honestly gears of war Judgement, Gears of war tactics, and Gears 5 I’m not all that in to. None of those three I really feel had anything Superb about them.
Since Gears 4 I didn't really like the rhombus that the franchise took, I think they could have done it better and I hope that 6 is better, but at the moment E-Day makes me very nostalgic and I'm excited to play it
Fuck It don't care if they reboot all gears games, I'll 100% play them again, they just gotta keep all the good mechanics, and the very good parts of the story from the original.
I can think of a few reasons, but my suspicion is because Gears of War sounds too "manly" and war is scary and affiliated with toxic masculinity hence the name changed. As a black dude who works in game development, we see this crap being pulled a lot smh

Judgement, a fine fun bit of side content that doesn't cause any damage. Ultimate Edition, kills the vibe of the original. Gears 4, Unnecessary. Gears 5, 🤮 Gears Tactics, Not my thing, never played it, villian guy looks weird. Too human in his speech. E-Day. Looks epic, please be everything we want and deserve.
@@jhedatitan4228 the robots aren't bad, but we didn't need them after the Swarm shows up, yet also the swarm should've felt more dangerous, yet instead they feel more like: Locust but reskined. I saw someone say Gears of War 4 should have made the nests for the swarm drones be more like what the cutscene suggests, the nest would be there, and you can prevent the drones from appearing by stopping juvies from reaching it, it would feel like you actually have to make sure they stop coming, as for the grenade being used to destroy the nests, I don't think it's that bad, also they should definitely add new monsters, as the drones and juvies are pretty basic, though I love how the juvies are much more agile than wretchers, but the drones need a heavy upgrade, even if Gears made the classes a bit more interesting, the common drone is really simple, hope The Coalition fixes them just like they're making the Locust Drones more intimidating and strong, that'd make the Swarm drones a bit more intimidating. As for the other monsters... Snatchers and Pouncers are fine, the big guy that opens his belly isn't that great, the Scions feel like Boomers, they need a more unique identity. And if we get a final monster, it needs to be something more interesting, than just cool to watch but has no explanation for its origin

1/2 and 3 was just amazing 4 and 5 are insults to gears of war honestly for me they are not even cannon gears ended after 3 amazingly but e day I have hope for I’m all for prequels and why not then pendulum wars so much potential their for games they just need to not mess up anything after 3 anymore
This may get hate but I liked 4 and 5. We're they anywhere as good as the trilogy? No chance but were they fun and gave me characters to care about and a continuation of the lore yes. Not needed games but not as bad as people say. EDAY WAS THE RIGHT MOVE FS
