Recreating Modern Cannibal Corpse Tone

- Here I try out a few pedal setups to try to recreate new-school Cannibal Corpse tone. 2 amps are used here:
- Mesa Dual Rectifier
- SNK VHD preamp into the power amp of a JCM 800
The Metal Zone is used pretty extensively here... I think the hate it gets is a little bit undeserved. Let me know if you agree!
Fuckin' awesome! I love modern Cannibal tones, they're super brutal and chuggy and tight. I think you got it nearly spot on with the Metalzone into the Rec! You're doing the lord below's work

Also, I heard good things about the SNK pedal, and I decided on getting one. And now I definitely gotta buy a Metal Zone pedal again! (I sold mine many moons ago) I really need a better metal tone. I want to take my tone and channel to the next level! Ha ha

Yea, it is surprisingly close to the album tone!
Nice, pretty close to the old tone, but to me sounds almost to 'tight' with that DV-77. For a modern CC tone, try the Maxon ST9 Pro+ into the front of the Dual Rec instead of the Metal zone. Really brings the Red before Black tone to life. For the Violence & Chaos (Blood Blind) tone, you'd want to use Celestion Greenbacks instead of V30s as they have switched.
Yea, Ive been meaning to pick up a pro+. The greenback works well also, I should really put that speaker back in my setup....
Metal zone + dual rec is dead on. Curious to know the amp settings cause that sounds identical to me!
Thanks dude. That was my favorite as well. I think on the record, the bass tone pays a huge role so I probably need to tweak mine a bit. Amp settings are: presence @3.5 bass @ 4 mids @ 6 treble @ 4

@@uniname7246 unfortunately I do not have much amp modeling experience. This clip was just active pickup guitar>metalzone pedal>recto>v30 speaker. I know more recently CC switched to the maxon st-9 pro plus pedal, but you can get smiliar tone with both pedals.

Was the EQ on the metal zone all at noon or? Also how did you feel about the texas heat speakers?
All at noon but adding a bit of low end on the pedal. Texas Heat Speakers are great - Very vocal with lots of 800hz.
What drum software did you use here? And can you send me the preset? Thanks!
I just used my drumkit for this. Dont use presets.
