I bought my Mustang 50 to replace my "almost: ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend worn out John Deere L120 (48" Cut - 20 HP Briggs). First off - I can now mow my almost 3 acres in about 1/2 the time it took with my other mower... I have had the Mustang 50 for almost 2 years now... Maintenance is easy - the Kohler Motor is "out in the open" and everything, except for the oil filter, is VERY easy to get to... To change the oil filter I have learned to fold the seat forward - no problem now... The deck is SUPER easy to drop...
I bought a Husq 254F special edition 4 wks ago. I live on a 5.5 acre horse property with no horses, pastures were 2ft tall, not cut all summer. Took me 28 hours to cut the whole place, had to make 2 passes for the pastures. Whole place looks like a lawn. Mine has the 23 hp Kawasaki. Very powerful. Love that machine.

I always feel like these lists are just pointing out how much better the Bad Boy mowers are when compared to the competition
It’s because those are all units that they sell.
Couple of my neighbors bought one......so did my buddy, all had belt problems.
54" badboy mowing 6 acres, 4 years now and zero issue. Are others better? Well that's a matter of opinion, but I paid less than any other brand out there at 3k after tax. Better/thicker gauge metal, I'm in Florida and the sand just blows holes in mower decks, but this badboy deck shows no signs of deterioration.
@@jerryrupe1696 The significant difference in fabricated decks is the depth & the shute size....a mil or two thicker or lighter really doesn't matter much. You are fortunate that your mower is holding up so well !!! I mow 5 acres,.. owned zero turns since inception, & it isn't so much the years, but the hrs......seems "something" will need repair around 400hrs.............continued good luck with your Bad Boy.

Don't get the cub if that's what you want to do. The only bagger is atrocious

Ariens is a nice mower, but I think the MZ Magnum is slightly better for the price, since it has the 7 gauge deck, plus the deck dial system.
Can't go wrong with ether one though!

Under 5k and commercial don't really go in the same sentence. But the cheapest mower I would start with would be a bad boy maverick HD. But that's about an 8k mower.

Just picked up a 60in zt avenger from tractor supply. 4699 before tax. Went to the dealership first... yeah they wanted 5200

The video is inaccurate as to cut heights... none of these mowers can cut higher than 4.5"
What about tractors? A zero turn won’t cut it on steep hills. Lawn tractor not farm tractor.
Husqvarna has a very bad reputation. Their equipment constantly breaks down and needs repairs. Just look up the reviews and also, I have personal experience with their products. If you try to contact them, you will never get to talk to a human. I have a Husqvarna P-ZT5224 it spends more time in the shop than we do mowing with it. I need a good strong commercial 54" or 60" mower for ten plus acres weekly use. Any suggestions are well appreciated.
