This video was recorded from the end of the train and was reversed to simulate the view from the cab. This explains why the train appears to pass red signals and some precipitation appears to be moving upward. My original video (with sound) can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/wQyiCkzCEZo/v-deo.html

So how did you manage to record the entrance to the tunnel from the rear of the train?

It also explains why the headlight doesn't make anything visible in the tunnel.

Great video. We rode this route in 2013, and it brought back memories and filled in some views we missed. I caught on to the nature of the video when I saw the red signals being ignored and the water falling upward into a drain pipe!

Lol! The first red he blew told me he was in the rear on the Builder. The stack train in the hole was also headed in the wrong direction, as well as no headlight in the tunnel. I don't know what track speed is through the hole, but the #7 I was on went through it lickety split.

Video was photographed from the last car of Amtrak and then when posted to UA-cam he ran the film backwards that's why there's no headlight going through the tunnel and the raindrops are going up instead of down I've seen this before on other videos that I have watched

I was able to get past your running this in reverse unlike so many here that weren't able to. I loved the scenery and gave really new insight on this area. I was expecting an elk or moose to walk out at any time. Are you planning any more for this area? I would love to see much more of both sides of this video.

People always ask why doesn't BNSF add a second track or enlarge the adjacent Pioneer Tunnel to elevate the bottle neck over Stevens Pass well watch this and you see the cuts and narrow areas as to why its not economically feasible to do so, let alone adding the needed side-outs as well! Living in here Western WA I know we are at the mercy of the terrain here in many many ways as it is!
