    ***UPDATE: I am aware of the music volume issue. Sadly, there’s nothing I can do about it now that the video has been uploaded. The issue has been logged for future videos and, hopefully, won’t happen again.
    Thanks for your understanding and patience!

    I like hearing about the lives of the Titanic crew members and passengers as well. It brings them in a very real way. Not that they're not gone, they clearly are. They are in our thoughts and prayers. Well done and appropriate.

      Continue with I hope that I didn't upset you because it's very hard to experience Titanic wreck just like for me and I m sure many Americans the similar experience September the 11th 2001 no matter how many years go by it will always be difficult. I am not kidding here. Next award season you might present your video or film. I'm not sure if it is long enough. You can, however, present it as a film 🎥 short for consideration for Oscar nod or nomination its appsalutely on point & very worthy. Take a shot and see what happens 😉. You will be able to say it was an honor to be nominated. But I think you very well could walk with the Golden dude Oscar.

    Amazing video thanks. What makes me mad is any survivors that talk about that night are always wrong in what happened.You know that people with questions, who weren't there, think they know all the answers. Like the ship broke in two because they said so, as they were there, the people asking questions were not. What Lowe said was true as he saw it and experienced it, they did not.

    What a phenomenal tribute. I was brought to years several times over . You did such a beautiful job of telling his story, it's works like these that really humanize the story of the Titanic. Even if he had not showed such heroics, he still had a fascinating life and a story worth learning about. I want to thank you for the research and work that went into this. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at 1:30 am 15 April if the entire amount of persons were replaced with the people in these comments sections...
    What a sight it would be to see Titanic...stern totally fuckin vertical and 1,500 UA-cam comment section warriors somehow bravely standing motionless, at attention, and totally unbothered by the vertical wall of Titanic's deck plunging beneath their feet. I can just hear that ethereal chant... 1,500 UA-cam commenters all selflessly commanding their neighbor to, "take my place in that boat, NOW"
    Yet nobody moves. Boats hanging at their davits, 1,500 people raising a salute right before the deck...and them... disappear beneath the waves.

    the World needs more people like Harold. too bad just a couple years after Titanic an entire generation of the best men were wiped out, from all nations involved. from that loss Europe/the World never recovered from. throw in WWII:Electric Boogaloo 20 years later with an even larger loss of life, it's just so sad. millions of people who could have lived long lives and impacted the World in who knows how many ways. Imagine a world today with no Lord of the Rings. Tolkien could have easily been killed. How many more works of art were never created b/c of the horror of war?

    If only 4th Officer Joseph Boxhall and 3rd Officer Herbert Pittman had such courage. More lives could’ve been saved then.

    • @History401
      @History401  6 місяців тому +3

      Sadly, we have the benefit of hindsight. Who knows what we would have done had we been there that night? It’s easy to judge others for their inaction when we weren’t there to experience the event. They did all any man could do at the time and I don’t like to judge them for that.
      Thank you for watching. 🥰 Take care.

      @DANIELLE_BREANNA_LACY Місяць тому +2

      @@History401 Yeah, I hear ya. I guess I’m just kinda bored with Pittman’s role considering it was apparently the smallest of all and I guess it was a good thing Boxhall’s lifeboat stayed where it ended up considering the fact that it allowed his lifeboat to be the first to be found by the Carpathia so he could explain everything to Captain Rostron and help with the rest of the Carpathia’s rescue mission. Lowe did wait quite some time so of course he was only able to save a few lives from the water, but I know it was still heroic while all of the other officers bravely stayed behind on the sinking ship to see if anymore work could be done and ended up going into that frigid water doing so with Charles Lightoller being the only officer to make it out of that water alive, but only so he could calm down, organize, and guide the frightened and shivering men on the overturned lifeboat which I know was heroic too.
