That statement by itself is why this case generated the following it did. There’s no question he did it, so the mental health defense is most effective at sentencing. Since he’s only 14 the judge can sentence him to 40 years instead of life and that’s when you’ll hear all about his newfound diagnoses. The saddest thing about these kinds of cases is that if the kid had gotten proper help before he committed the crime then none of this would have happened.

I've met some scary manipulative kids, under 10 yo, & have always wondered how a childs brain can process such manipulation & keep up the act. If he was really seeing and or hearing voices or demons at this point, they wouldn't have seen him in court that day. Its interesting that as soon as he's in court via Zoom this starts to happen. Not before court (i.e. days, hours or minutes before). Because had that actually been going on beforehand they would have rescheduled that court appearance and he would be seeing a licensed professional.

I believe this young man has always been crazy. He finally gave in to his thirst to kill. Now I believe that he is alone and he has no distractions to hide from the voices they're taking over now.
