I clicked this video after searching YT for a review of this product. I made it a few seconds in, literally spit out coffee I was drinking from laughter, and then smiled delightfully at the opening montage. I paused the video to write this comment after subscribing. What a great thing you've made. Thank you.
This vest is definitely a worthy investment -- I love it for it's comfort and versatility! One important area worth adding to your review is Salomon's 2-year warranty. My vest developed a minor issue after 6 months. I contacted Salomon and they replaced the entire vest for me!
Brilliant video Stephen, made perfect by mentioning me at the start lol. Totally agree, an amazing pack and to be honest, worth spending the money. I tried a few other packs before I gave into the cost but have never regretted it now
oh goodness, your commentary had me giggling the whole time! I was torn between this and the 5L one...... you definitely sold me on the 12! I carry everything under the sun with me when I run! Thank you!
Wow that is super impressive how much stuff you can get in that bag. I ride/hike with a Camelbak that I've had for at least 25 years that's starting to see better days. I may need to look into this bag or something similar. I like the idea of being able to grab essentials from the side pockets without having to take the pack off. Thanks for a great review!
It’s so handy having everything right there. Essential if you are racing too. Haven’t actually tried cycling with this, would prob work well for that too
I use the Ultimate Direction Mountain vest myself but it's really the same thing. Worth every penny, its truly amazing how much stuff you can fit into these things and how much of a beating they can take. Have had mine for years now and it will need replacing in the near future, have been keeping an eye out on the Salomon brands so this was a very handy video. Thanks for making it an entertaining one too :)
Thanks for the comment Jesse! Been following you forever on IG. Taking up mountain running? If Power of Video happens again and you get over to Northern Ireland again, I’ll show you some great trails 😁
@@StephenJReid Yeah I’m sure we’ve talked on IG before! I do lots of trail running at home, and I actually just landed in Geneva and now heading over to Chamonix to run TMB. Lucky for me the airline lost my bag with my gear. Hurrraaaayyyyy 😬
Oh yikes! Hopefully with it being the trail running capital of Europe you can get new kit easy enough. It’s on my long term list of places to shoot a race vlog. Are you racing or just doing the trail yourself?
@@StephenJReid Just doing the trail with Kraig and a group of 11 others over 6 days. I ended up having to buy a whole bunch of new stuff which is annoying but, I’m just happy to be running :)
That intro 😂. I don't think any bag would not bounce around, especially when there's a bladder in the back. I need a new pack, might give this one a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
I sweat buckets so I've tried to stick to the Deuter and Osprey that have a rigid back and 4 points of contact only, but it makes the whole pack more difficult to manage...
Your a great comedian 🤣👌👌👌 I was here to find out about this item, and got a very good laugh 🤣😆 Thanks 🙏 By the way, I ended up with Salomon Active Skin 8🏃🏻
It certainly looks great, out of my price range though! How much does it weigh when full? It looks heavy. Love it when you manage to record 2 videos in one run, I've been doing that recently where I record a virtual run and vlog at the same time.
Hmm depends how much water I'm carrying or if it's summer or winter. Typically at least 1.5kg I would think. A lot more than that if it's winter and I'm carrying a drone.
@@StephenJReid To be fair, that's pretty light considering everything you are carrying. It's quite common for most people to put on or lose a few kilos of weight during a year!
@@CraigBridges ah well that day in particular it was much heavier as I was also carrying a drone and a spare camera to shoot the review. But for a typical non-vlog run, it’s quite light.
Hi , I noticed you were using head phones. Looking to purchase some could you please tell me if they are good and a name and model number. Looking forward to your reply. Leith

Didn’t know it was a 2yr warranty! That’s good to know 😁😁
I love your videos, they always make me chuckle 😊 and I’ve just bought the pack - thanks for the review! ☺️🙏
Thanks Chris! Enjoy the pack 🙂
Hahaha!!! Loved the video and glad to see you're enjoying the pack, I will be getting one. Glad I found your channel!
Love the sincerity of your video, very refreshing - keep at it!
Thanks Nick!

Was definitely jealously that pushed me into buying it! 😂😂 Totally worth it, especially if you spend a lot of time in the mountains.
Thank you! Just got one today! You are so funny! Love watching your work. Subscribed!

That toilet paper is actually a splendid idea
Yup! Saved my ass (pun intended) on a few occasions! 😂😂
I received my one on a big discount and it was still more than a regular vest but the matterials and details are great.
Ooooh Suspense for the next video! haha I love it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this Salomon backpack Stephen! It looks awesome :)
Thanks! You'll have to wait a couple of videos before I reveal this though!
@@StephenJReid I'm patient! :)
May I know what size mate? I’m same build
throwing some shapes stephen demonstrating this bag
🕺🏻
what size are you wearing?
They cost loads but well worth it especially if you're racing with it.
Yup! And important to remember, costs the same as a pair of high end running shoes which will last about 6-12months, this will last for years
Just bought mine!!
what size are you wearing there mate?
Hey fab review! what size are you wearing please?
LOL, cheers for the video, defo getting one of these to run THE WALL 2023
It’s a great bag, they now have a new and improved version too
That intro 😂. I don't think any bag would not bounce around, especially when there's a bladder in the back. I need a new pack, might give this one a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
You’re welcome, I’ve tried a few different bags and this kind is 100% the most comfortable

So helpful! Thank you.
May I ask what size of the vest you're wearing in the video?
Bump
I was sure you'll pull out white rabbit you forgot there from a previous run
Your video quality is always so high and the views so stunning, I'd watch a shoelace review if you created it 😂
I have actually considering making a shoelace review about the elastic laces I often use 😂😂
Nice Backpack Sir ..I like it..Beautiful place too

Hi - great video. Do you have a link for the little box/case you keep your drone in please?
this is it: geni.us/H4JX1X
Ah nice, thanks!
Can this also be used as a day pack for hiking
Yeah sure. It’s just a bit slower to take on and off than a normal pack but no reason why not.
love the running rat! what’s the story behind him?
He’s my coach! 😛
Hi ,
I noticed you were using head phones.
Looking to purchase some could you please tell me if they are good and a name and model number.

Leith
They are Shokz bone conducing headphones
What size bladder can this thing hold?
You can fit 2x 500ml soft flasks in the front and a 2L bladder in the back. Possibly 3L if not much in the rest of the pack.
@@StephenJReid Awesome! Thanks!
I like you. I mean I like this video 😊😊
Bahahaha the intro is amazing
thanks Mike!
