Why is removing the valve cover necessary? It seems the valve cover has holes that 99% overlap with the glow plug holes, just have a small part preventing access. Can't we just file that part off, as it makes no seal anyway, and replace glow plugs without removing valve cover and risking contamination?
The valve cover needs to be removed, glow plugs are very inaccessible. Since glow plugs can break easily, better access is important when removing them.
