- During the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, I have filmed the all new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 ePerformance. The maximum output of 735 kW (1,000 PS) and more. In simulated racing, a steady 450 kW (612 PS) is available for 30 minutes, i.e. the duration of a Carrera Cup race. Enoy the video!

Electric will collapse in on itself when the demand for electricity maxes out the supply of electricity, and the rare earth materials used to create the battery’s deplete, resulting in it becoming expensive to both purchase and maintain an EV even for the big tech liberals from the City who use EV as a way to virtue signal their moral superiority.

They need to pgm in party trick modes like tire burnouts and donuts.
The looks are good. but the noise? they have to find a way to dampen it or at least deepen it so that it isn't so much an earpiercing pollution.

The noise isn't from the E motors. It's from the straight cut gearbox which is used in racecars. It's in almost every racecar, you just can't hear it in ICE/hybrid racecars because of the engine. Dampening or using a non-straight cut gearbox would add weight or slow it down.

There will always be supercars and exciting alternatives to the simplified driving dynamics of other normal vehicles used as commuters. There's already a plethora of EV hypercars currently available.

What you hear is not the electric motors. It is the gearbox.

Takes 15mins per Porsche on their purpose built track side charger. Then it's good for another 30-45min stint at 600+hp running time's competitive to the 600#lighter 911 gt3s. 🤔
Not sure how Tesla keeps up when all the major car manufactures are offering EVs across their model ranges...
Easy, brand recognition and they've built 3,000,000 evs since the first roadster conversion in 2008.
They are they only one with multiple ground up ev only factories already producing cars by the tens of thousands on multiple continents.
Oh and the largest market cap of any automaker, ZERO debt vs their competition which is in a combined over half a trillion in total debt.
An 18billion war chest and of course industry leading profit margins. 😎

Byd since you obviously don't know, is likely to be the only one anytime soon who takes over the ev lead in sales worldwide.
Byd took 2nd place from vag earlier this year and claims to be ramping to 300k nev a month starting as soon as next month, with about half of that ev only sales.
And even byd isn't really moving anything outside of the China market atm, so they aren't likely to sell anything in the U.S. anytime soon either.
The U.S. per capita just so happens to be the largest car market plus the highest priced market overall. Teslas home market to. 😀

The sound isn't from the electric motors/isn't because the car is electric. It's from the gearbox. It uses straight cut gears. Pretty much every racecar does. You just can't hear it in racecars that have an engine because the noise of the engine is louder than the gearbox.
