In our area (New England), the price more than doubled in the last few years. We paid just over $5,000 for painting the exterior of our mid-sized house in 2018, but I just got a quote of $15,000 + for the same job this year! I could not believe the number when I first saw it. I figured that I can't grow money on trees to pay for it, and decide to do the job myself in the end.
I bet you won’t get the same results and time wis when you don’t know anything about painting it’s tuff (I’m saying you specifically but there’s some people who think professional painter just arrive, cover up surfaces and get to work when it takes so much more than that but a pro who’s done it his whole life would be easy with a couple guys) you don’t tell the car dealership to work out a deal on the car when the manufacturer set it to that price so why should my prices go down when materials and resources like food water and gas have gone up I should definitely mark up all my jobs starting this year rather stay home than settle for a job giving minimum money
@@playboyalex6944 I am actually very glad that I did the job myself because I discovered quite a few problems (one of them is very serious) neglected by the people who did it for me last time. Actually I doubt I would ever let other people do it for me again in the future. I agree it is hard work. It took me three months to finish it but I only worked on it mostly during the weekends.
More like 70$ a gallon . How many gallons you think paints that house twice ? Most of the coating you see are two coats of exterior paint . If it takes 50 gallons of paint you think they paid 1500$ Think again circus boy ! How many days you’ve painted a house sounds like a big fat 0 zero experience zero knowledge just run that little Typer until you. Can’t see anymore . You geeks kills it with no skills no knowledge just runs that mouth . Boy you on that job you be crying like a little baby boy ahhhhh ahhh whaaaa lmao
Those prices does it include materials and paint? And what was the profit since paints are going up
thought the same thing, do these prices include materials ?

Yeah I can’t imagine the market supporting prices at those rates long term. 🤔

Hiw does "job size" equate to a dollar amount? Doesn't make sense. I would think job size would equate to scare footage or area to be painted.
up your prices guys
Greeat video, helped me alot. Hoping for $5800 or so
what did it end up being
Yes 5700 is a correct price
There’s no way this includes materials this must just be labor.
Lol my boss can't buy 3m blue tape. Or m95 masks
Profit margins skyrocketing...recession in 2023 will make price drop off a cliff.
These guys paid less than 1500 for materials only a few hundred more for labor and then fucking pocket the rest

Your point? What you think business is. Smh
@@hotlatino7220 judging by your name you probably get paid those few hundred and let the white guy pocket the other thousands

Do it yourself or pay the price.
