Same here
Same
For me Shiva trilogy is the best.
Manoj Rao true
haven't read it yet :D
Yes
Shiva trilogy was good, but the third book was a complete and utter disappointment.
It's a fiction story...bt it's good
Sita's sister by Kavita Kané I feel is another amazing mythology book but it is somewhat underrated I feel idk why though. I really liked it.
Its a nice book...
If you love this genre....Try
1. Avishi
2. Abhaya
Both by Sai Swaroopa Iyer
Aryavir by Anita Shirodkar.....
I have loved all these three
Thank you for the recommendations. I'll try those.
I want to read Rukmini: krishna's wife by saiswaroopa iyer but I can't find any book pdf. Plz share if anyone have it.

7:22 to pass my 10th so I can buy books on my own and my parents won't interrupt
hmm
Hahh...I'm in first year and my parents won't stop interrupting already!
Shiva Trilogy and Ramachandra series by Amish is amezing .My suggestion is if you like mythological books then you should read these books .you would definitely loved it. And thank you for amezing recommendations . Manpreet
:)
I didn't like the way Draupadi was portrayed as a jealous, insecure, quarrelsome woman in Palace of Illusions. And the end where Karna & Draupadi's souls meet up above...that was enough to put me off. However, Chitra writes beautifully. That was one good thing about the book.
hmm that's a good point. Don't know how I missed your comment previously
This is not mythology... This is our history...
Ok
Ajaya and Asura are my favourite
Anand Neelakantan is awesome
I read ajaya... What a book... Currently reading the second part of ajaya...
This is in reference to M.T.Vasudevan Nair's 'Bhima, the Lone Warrior'(translation from original Malayalam novel):
M.T. Vasudevan Nair is a 'Gyanpeeth' award winner and one of the most gifted novelists of India.
But, some people would not savour well with M.T when he deviated from the main Mahabharatha story in his adaptation for the novel 'Bhima, the Lone Warrior'. For example, in this novel Bhima is said to be conceived by Kunthi out of her relationship with a tribal man and Yudhishtira was fathered by Vidhura who was none other than the brother of Pandu, the husband of Kunthi.
English version name???
Hey Manpreet... I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now and I am just falling in love with you. The way in which you review books without spoilers and positive criticism is great. I've also started reading a lot from the day I started watching your videos. Thank You.
hhehe thank you so much. you're one of the first few people who actually said about positive criticism. I usually say what I feel trying to help the readers choose better. Not many like my style coz of that :D But it means a lot that you said this.
Keep reading more and more. Thank you so much for your comment
Indian Booktuber People appreciate good work seldom. But, it doesn't matter. All that matters is what you are doing. And you are heloing out a huge mass of people. That's so sweet of you to do this even in your busy schedule. Keep going... Love you 😘
I want book which have short stories nd questions with answers which makes me interested 😅
My favourite mythological book is Maharathi. This book is written in a narrative way (narrated by Karna). But it's an Assamese book. Hope someday someone will translate it into English.
I really don't know why but people are trying to make Karna good
mam, you can read KARNA'S WIFE
this is also a retelling of mahabharata from uruvi's point of view
Thanks a lot for the recommendation. Want to read it soon
7:22
Manpreet :- " whats are you waiting for?????"
Me :- " i have 6 mythological-fiction books in my shelf but i have not enough time to study books of my course 😑😑😑
You can always take out time.
- 10 minutes a day while having breakfast
- 10 minutes while you're in the loo
- 10 minutes before sleeping
That's 30 minutes of reading a day. Won't be so difficult. Try it!
Mahabharat is not fiction it is reality
Even I started with the Ajaya series, it is lit
Totally 😍
The Palace of Illusions sounds amazing! I'll definitely be picking that one up. I've always loved mythology but I haven't read a lot of Indian mythological fiction, so I was so excited to find this video! New subscriber! You seem like such a lovely person :)
Thank you so much. Welcome to my channel. I hope you enjoy reading the book :)
Palace of illusions is amazing.❤️
Agree
Ashwin Sanghi's The Krishna Key is mythical work❤..and Ashwin Sanghi is famous for blend of mythical coherence..
Do try Karna’s wife by Kavita Kane and asura tale of the vanquished by Anand Neelakantan
If you liked karnas wife then you should try sitas sisterly kavita kane
Need to read those!
Yes ....please keep updating mythological non fiction books
U r amazing.
I am a gr8 fan of indian mythological fiction.
Thank u so much
Thank you :)
Not fiction.... retelling
I highly recommend Palace of Illusions, a complete page-turner from Draupadi's perspective, which is rarely seen. I also recommend Mrityunjaya: The Death Conquerer, about Karna's life.
Yes! Love Palace of Illusions. Will check out the other book. Thanks for the comment
When you are using the word Mythology then don't use the word Fiction. They are 2 different things
Yes actually but indian mythology has 1000s of versions about gods, monsters, yugas etc. and each version is from a different point of view or narration. After all we low born mortals don't possess the ability to fully understand the divine or fully conscious. And tend to use interpretation as a way to get closer to them.
Mahabharat is not mythology its Indian history
It is mythology
U must really try Chritopher C Doyle's books....u will surely fall in love with it and pls review them as well!!
Yes mahabharata quest series is really awesome
Gotta get to that soon
There are many, tell me the sequence to read them
Great video! I have read Ajaya and Ramachandra series! Now I will pick the Palace of Illusions(I have heard simply so much about it) Ps- I loved Asura way more than Ajaya!! 😃❤️
I haven't read Asura yet :(
Ajaya book is full of misinformation 🙄
The wrost book.. A try to make Adharmi good
*Mahabharat is not Fiction. Its madd like fiction but its based on history.*
agreed
Harappa trilogy is also an good mythological fiction actually best...
Ya I do have the trilogy but never finished reading it

100% agree. I read shiva trilogy a while after this video and am in absolute love with it now! It's my most fav ever
@@IndianBooktuber cheers mate! :)
Really really going to start these all mythological books (mythos are love
That’s cool. Both r very different... shiva trilogy is more mythology reselling whereas Kalki is more fantasy. See what u want to read first. :)
I am currently reading "The palace of illustration"
Nice
I want to recommend a book to you since you liked Kalki
It's is called " The Avatar : Age of Kalki "
Thanks for the recommendation
@@IndianBooktuber np
Sis, How do you forgot about Vikramaditya Veergatha
That Series is just awesome
It is not just mythology. It is our past.
google 'mythology meaning'
I can't make effort in explaining you.
Hope you knew the truth.
Ajaya series is the best intrepretation of mythology story.. one of the must read for mythology lovers .
yes there are many mahabharat retelling but only one made me cry its Mrityunjaya..Its in perspective of Karna
first of all these are not mythology its history
Tell that to the publishers and historians who put it under mythology. Not my fight.
@@IndianBooktuber ok sorry i will tell them
Rest apart from books ..I loved that accent "perspEECTIVEEE" 😀
I really appreciate your efforts on this channel, i wish you will maintain your this standard of video in future also......LOVE YOUR VIDEOS,❤️❤️❤️
heheh first we need to define 'this standard'. Then we can think about it :P
I would add 'Bhima Lone Warrior' to the list. This is the translated version of the malayalam original 'Randamoozham' bt MT Vasudevan Nair. I don't know if they did justice to the translated version. But the original one is an amazing read.
Hmm thanks. I will check it out
M.T. Vasudevan Nair is a 'Gyanpeeth' award winner and one of the most gifted novelists of India.
But, some people would not savour well with M.T when he deviated from the main Mahabharatha story in his adaptation for the novel 'Bhima, the Lone Warrior'. Shiva Trilogy mind blowing by Amish Tripathi
:)
Could u please send the link
I'm trying to mix a crime thriller rooted in a mythological tale. And am just stuck on the overexposure of both the genre . I'm getting headaches literally.
Stop Saying Mythological it’s our History
Dictionary
@@IndianBooktuber I wish you could go on Google and see it by yourself and didn’t tell me where to find a meaning of such words
Read the meaning in English if you are so wise
Should also try the book aghori by mayur kalbagh...where he has real meet up with aghoris...he has marked all thier Puja and. Rituals very clearly
This video is just what I want to watch!!! Thank you
hope you enjoyed watching it :)
Kalki is awesome!❤️💙
:)
Yeah its nice and cool
Placed an order for 'Sita the warrior of Mithila'..😃
hope u enjoy reading it :)
Manpreet i order those 2 books ( mahavarath )
which 2?
@@IndianBooktuber the ajaya duology
I would also like to know which are the mythological fiction that you didn't like. So that I don't end up buying them
Check the playlist in the description. You'll find reviews for quite a few that I liked/disliked and the ones that didn't make it to the list :P
Indian Booktuber ok
Please correct yourself first...it's a great thing that you are reviewing such books related to our culture and inspiring our youths.
You need to understand that these are not mythical but based on real events and facts, but by calling it mythology you are proving them to be baseless which is clearly what the British wanted us to think like.. Please stop calling our culture and religious facts a mythology. 🙏🙏
I believe my knowledge of book genres is correct. I don't review or talk about religious books, which is what you're probably referring to.
So every book I do talk of in this video is mythological books and about Indian mythology.
U r really doing a great work... keep it up. Thsnks a lot
thanks :)
Manpreet, i like very much reading fiction (especially, romance and mythological) but my syllabus of graduation screwed my desire to read more😭😭😭😭😭
heheh it's better to keep both of those different. All you need is a good book. Get it and keep rading.
asura:the tales of vanquished by anand neelkanthan should have been on the list.
Which one is the better adaptation of Mahabharatta Jaya, The palace of illusions or Ajaya ?
Palace of Illusions is the Mahabharat from Draupadi's perspective .. It's heartwarming
Ajaya - This is Duryodhan's Mahabharat . History is always written in the winners perspective . But what if the Kaurava's were not that bad as mentioned in all Mahabharat retellings .. So this book is all about that .. I recently read this and I am in love with this book ..
Recommend best triologies of all time.
For now... hunger games trilogy
My eyes always go to harry potter collection you have kept behind neatly stacked !!!😍😍😍😍😍😍
heheh I love those books
Pls tell about some Indian political books
haven't read many. But I'll surely mention in my videos if i come across some good ones

Indian Booktuber please review it if you can and as soon as you can. Thanks
Is that The Silmarillion in the back ?
Yep.
For your and viewers information not a single mythological book in hindusim is a fiction
For your information and whoever you’re misguiding… books on Hinduism come under religion and spirituality category and mythological fiction books come under mythological fiction
But the books you are reffering comes under religion and spirituality and not under fiction
But everything apart your videos are very informative

Hey lady hou have not recommended Vanara by anand neelkantan
I don’t think the book was even out when this video was made, but anyway, I haven’t read it yet
I have read kalki part 1 and 2..... My God they are way too amazing....
Ajaya and asura are the best I can see, although I am not a huge fan.
I am sure I am never gonna start Sita because I am so unhappy with scion of ikshvaku.....
Hehhe me too... scion of ikshvaku was so boring
Really?? So now I'm also gonna have a hard time to start that series.
I also wish you try guardians of halahala, by shatrujeet Nath. I am hearing positive reviews around..... Waiting for your review.....
@@lightbinger there is hardly any difference if you never start it.... 🤣 Just saying... Bcz life is too short to waste time on useless books.....
@@amithghosh3332 yesss you said right! And already my "To be read" list is soo long, I have no time.

I m suprised why did you not include Asura book.
I haven’t read that yet 😅
Okk but u should read that.
you're so cure and i love how you speak ^_^*

this is not Mythological Fiction Books.
:/ Most of these books have it on their back cover that they're mythological fiction/fantasy. If not, the publisher's categorisation would say that. So?
what about shiva trilogy
haven't completed it yet
Hey di I am 17yrs old can I read Kalki
Yes. It’s easy to read and really good. Go ahead!
