I had heard about the Palace of Illusions from a friend; didn't pay much attention then. Now that you've recommended, I immediately added it to my TBR and started it. The plot and theme seem really intriguing. I couldn't help but delve into it right away.
Hey Shruti, I would like to recommend some books to you... 1.The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese 2.A fine balance by Rohinton Mistry 3.Custody by Manju Kapur 4.The immigrant by Manju Kapur (as the name suggests, you will relate to this one) Do check them out please...
I would like to highly recommend you "Forest of Enchantments " by chitra banerjee divakaruni ..it's the book who made me fall in love with ramayana❤️ And "palace of illusions" would be my next must read.
Read the goat life by benyamin.(Its a Malayalam true story book which is also translated in English) And you might change your opinion on immigrant life
I’ve heard this book is really good! I’ll definitely check it out. The Namesake resonated with me and my experience of emigrating to the US when I was younger. There are definitely other experiences which are not as privileged, and I’d love to read about those perspectives too!
another day of asking you for a reading vlog of "A Good Girl's Guide To Murder" series. Would love to see that along with the new Holly Jackson book "The Reappearance of Rachel Price"💝
@@fandomnewbie “Wise and Otherwise” such a lovely book…..and this made me think on many little little aspects of life ….means its very lucid and heartwarming book…. There are many other books mainly for children…but I even enjoy them a lot ….they remind us how our parents taught us many principles of life through stories …..jaroor batana apko kaisi lagi book …. And I am always grateful to you for sharing various dimensions of reading …I am evolving my reading habit by listening you 🥰🥰🥰

I don't think u should recommend him percy Jackson because it's all based on Greek mythology Gods and the those god are very wired with weirder relationship with each other, instead The monkey's paw, invisible man, The last leaf , The kingdom of fools, Oliver twist and Great expectations these are very good with lots of good vocabulary and interesting to read.
I'm glad that you mentioned Train to Pakistan. It's a timeless classic yet not much talked about.
the palace of illusions and shadow lines have been sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. this has to be a sign for me to give them a go!
The palace of illusions is a bit overrated according to me.....

They are not literature. Moral preachings that you may like if you have stomach for people preaching to you, but not literature by any yardstick.
