Yes I also agree that Amish stretched the third book( the oath of the vayaputras) telling a lot about somras but I love Amish's book (he is my fav author)😁😁
Thank you so much for these recommendations. You’re the third person I have found that recommendeds the Palace of Illusions. I’m definitely going to add it to my list. And I also fully love more South Asian mythology. Also your Greek selections are great. Circe ❤❤❤❤
Amazing recommendations I loved palace of illusions and Shiva trilogy.Have read most of the books recommended but never heard of sharath kommaraju books, thanks for recommending will check it out. And yes I love Kavita Kane's work 😊
Circe and song of Achilles are my all time fav..have you read penelopiad by Margret Atwood ?it's the story of Odysseus and Penelope from Penelope's perspective.its such a hard hitting book..Happy Diwali😊
I hope you had a wonderful Diwali! 💖 The Palace of Illusions is on my TBR and I'll have to check out a few of these others too! YES I love Circe so much! Also you look beautiful!
A big fan of Shiva trilogy , Percy Jackson Original series and Circe. On the mythic fiction genre try checking Shatrujeet Nath's Vikramaditya Veergatha Series and Alexandra Bracken's Lore. Both are delight to read. Lore is what would be an adult version of Percy Jackson while Vikramaditya Veergatha is close to Amish's work with lesser philosophy and more action and world building.
Ooh Shatrujeet Nath's series is on my TBR! I read his latest book recently and was blown away. Can't wait to get started on Vikramaditya Veergatha series! 😊 Lore sounds super interesting too. Thank you for the recs! 😊
My pleasure! 🥰 I actually read Asura a couple of years ago, but wasn't a huge fan. Will have to reread to do a full review though. Let me know if you want me to do it and I will pencil it in for early next year. :)
First of all, I meant that Draupadi (and women during those times) were seen as not having anything to do when in fact they played huge roles. I was talking about a patriarchal perspective in which they ARE SEEN AS A BACKGROUND CHARACTER. Why would I push a woman character to the back? Please watch it and understand the context I said it in. And secondly, if you're putting out an opinion, the least you can do is be polite. You could have asked what I meant. You don't have to attack everyone on the Internet. :) Peace!
The ending of Oath of Vayuputras left me broken 💔
I agree! 😭

Draupadi is a central character in mahabharat, sorry but please get your fact right, she is not just a character in the background!
