Once we repent and return God to our schools, open His churches, and at home He will get rid of the demonic viruses. Thank u for your love of His people. God love you🙏
My parents used to sing, and sometimes, hum this going about their day. I can't listen without tear welled eyes. I cherish my folks and above all, the old rugged cross. Thank you Jesus🙏🏼❤️😔
My mother has been an ordained Pentecostal preacher for over 50 years. This is her favorite song. Join me in praying that the Good Lord will allow her just one day of hearing (currently stone deaf) so she can hear this and the other beloved songs just one more time. Thank you Brothers and Sisters! Believe it, prayer changes things.
My grandmothers and family song from the early days my grandmother passed in 1969 so this hymn goes deep so in Jesus Name in simple faith l say your grandmother's ears be opened by faith now or in heaven where all infirmities and pains pass God bless you. Faith is substance faith is real faith is how we live
Despite traditional beliefs, do not let others persuade you that a female preacher is wrong. 1 Timothy 2:11 says “I do not permit a woman to have authority over a man or to teach, she should be silent.” Ah, but you forget! This is Paul speaking to Timothy, in a letter. This is not the words of Jesus! Paul wrote this to Timothy in a letter to address the blasphemers and idolaters in the church of Ephesus, whom had female idols that would often lead their male counterparts to sin. This scripture comes with specific context. 1 Corinthians 11 and 14 also written to address a specific issue with the townspeople of Corinth. By their logic, women should wear full length veils covering their heads.
We will with God's help each one wearing our masks, keeping safe distancing. Helping one another to survive. We are not equally healthy and strong, but most likely than not if we cooperate, we will survive In Jesus name.
This was played at my great grandmothers funeral more than 50 years ago. It has been my favorite ever since❤️❤️. No one could do it better than Randy Owen
I’ve never been outside of Africa (Zimbabwe) but grew up loving this group and their music.Im older now and have accepted Jesus as my Lord and so glad Alabama did so too.We are still bound together.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE GAITHER'S FOR HAVING ALABAMA SING THESE SONG'S IT IS WORKING ON MY BAD NIGHT BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE FOR ALL THAT BELIEVE IN CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These country singers can nail the great hymns of the church. Randy Travis and Alan Jackson have put together some great gospel praise and worship CDs. I've always loved Alabama. They were always a good clean cut group back in the 80s
This was one of my mothers favorite hymnals. I can never get through it without tears rolling down my cheeks. She has traded it for her crown but I will always cherish the Old Rugged Cross.
My grandmother died yesterday and this was her favorite song. I don’t believe in God or Heaven, but if it does exist she definitely deserves her crown.
This is one of the hymns from my childhood and always bring good memories of grandparents, parents and how they had taught us about God and God's love. Thanks for keep singing this, God bless you!

Whenever I get home to Michigan I go to the Old Rugged Cross memorial. The place it was first performed, a beautiful little church that's being restored and garden. If you're ever in the little village, if it's even big enough to be called that, of Pokagon Michigan it's worth the visit. You can spend 15 min or 2 hours just reflecting.
Wow , wonderful, This is the best Gospel music I have ever heard, God bless you Randy and your boys. I have to hear your music every day, Love you guys.
I am really concerned for this year, 2025! So much is changing! God be with us all!
