Non-Stackable Item Sorter | Minecraft 1.20+

- Simple, cheap, compact, and reliable stackable and non-stackable item sorter. This is my 3rd version of this sorter; both previous versions still work this is just cheaper and more compact.
The non-stackable item sorter works on BOTH Bedrock and Java editions of Minecreaft HOWEVER, the extended versions that sort out (shulker boxes, enchanted books, etc.) does NOT work on Java edition. Everything shown in the video works on Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.
If you want to sort the non-stackable items even further, this video details how to sort shulker boxes, enchanted books, potions, and music discs as well! This one mighty sorter can do it all!

Your the guy we didn't deserve! I've always been looking for storage system tutorials to go with the mega farms I want to build, and even attempted to design my own, but your videos saved me from hours of scrolling and trying to design it myself!
Thanks for being one of the few showing a system that filters out stackable items, not the other way round, and then being the only one explaining how it works! I've been stuck for far too long trying it myself , but it was so simple. Thanks for showing stuff that is simple and very useful for average players too.
Edit: Ended up modifying it a bit though, powering the left blocks keeps one item locked in the hopper chain above, so I replaced the block under the comparator with a target block and laid the wire a bit differently so that that block gets powered. Since did a hopper chain downwards it was the only block next to the hopper I could power.
Would you mind linking a video, or even pictures, of what changes you made? I'm new to both minecraft, and obviously redstone. While I'm picking things up quickly, I like being able to see the changes people make to these builds so I can see hpw it effects everything. Especially when it's with small issues that come up like what you mentioned.

I'm just starting redstone too, lots of just sitting around, trying stuff, cursing, doing /tick freeze/step, looking on UA-cam and the wiki, for hours on end in a creative world. But I'm figuring stuff out. You just gotta keep at it.

You should label it *Minecraft: Bedrock Edition* if you're doing any redstone in Bedrock Edition. Java works differently... and more consistently on most contraptions.
The basic system works in both versions of Minecraft. More details are in the description
I completely disagree, from a UA-cam standpoint you want as many people as possible to watch your videos, having bedrock in the search part will likely damage the videos chances in the algorithm, second, the majority of UA-cam watchers are in fact bedrock players, the Minecraft minority is actually java edition but UA-camrs rely on it because of the camera modding available

No, Java players don't get to just label stuff as minecraft and we have to put bedrock, there's so many damn things that just say minecraft and it's always using janky Java Redstone, Go cry about it in front of your immovable furnaces and chests

You can change the repeater to three ticks and change the compariter to normal mode, this way, there won't be any item stuck in the hopper.

this is the absolute perfect solution to automatically smelt swords from a gold farm and then separate stackables into their own chest.

it worked for a bit and it stopped and i checked everything and its built like yours is, i have no idea what the problem is. all the items go into one chest
I hooked the first one up to my gold farm, but I think it's getting overloaded with too many items because it started not working unfortunately.
You could always double up the system (have the items run through two systems) and that should be robust

I made the first sorter shown in this video for my gold farm and it works 95% of the time but nuggets or rotten flesh still end up in the sword smelter which clogs it. Anyone know why this happens?
Depending on lag, redstone being unreliable, or some other random factor, that could be whats causing it. If 100% is required every time, repeating the sorter a second time (so all nonstackable items have to pass through it twice would be your safest bet

would it be possible to sort between *specific* potions? im trying to get rid of all the damn swift potions my witch farm gives me but keep the water breathing/healing ones
You cannot sort between types of potions
Why do all items end up caught in the hopper next to the books shelf? Please help. They will not drain into the hopper below.

Yo bro got this issue separating totems and the banners. The plan is to just separate the banners from the totems, and have the totems fill shulker a via a skulker filler thingie. Lmk what l can do thanks
If you want to filter between banners and nonstackables, the nonstackables will go in the second chests and any stackable item will end up in the first slice

Do you have all your items going into a barrel or chest before going through the sorter? The sorter should put banners with the rest of the stackable items

i have issues, when i build all 4 item sorter like in this tutorial, item always stuck at 12:23 hopper after potion sorter hopper
1 items will always be stuck in each section of the sorter. That is just how it could most cheaply be built
This happened to me, too. But only one item is stuck in the first slot of the hopper brewer station filter and it does not appear to clog the system. It seems to work fine. 1.20.2 on Java on a personal public server. Sorting for a large gold farm with bartering.
Is there any auto sorter that will sort any unstackable items? I have a fish farm currently and I’m trying to have it sort fishing poles, bows, and books all into different chests
Books can be sorted out automatically using a chiseled bookshelf. The fishing rods/bows can only be sorted using an armor stand sorter. The armors stand sorter would work however it requires a player to place all the amorstands so its only semi automatic.

How could I edit this to have 2 stackable items be sorted along with the books and non stackable
Take the stackable items to the left after passing through the first hopper/chest (thats where all stackable items will end up).
Then build two stackable item filters 😁
Can you make it for example, sort only totems of undying, but not other unstackable items? Pls respond.
that can only be done using allays. The best option to sort totems is to sort everything else out so totems is all that is left

If you are refering to the 24 stacked raid farm, the farm produces items way faster than this system can sort them

my items get stuck in random hoppers and never comes out how do i fix this
The system will hold one or two items hostage but they should come through the system when more items come through the sorter
@@rocketbuilder But it holds them and clogs up the system and as you add more items the more in the hoppers theres like 8+ items in the hopper and they wont come out
Check and make sure you are not missing a redstone dusts

Brody bed rock is just called Minecraft for a reason and Java edition I s called Minecraft Java for a reason
so how would i implement this into your raid farm item sorter v2? just remove the dropper and add it on there or would i have to move all 27 chests down so i can put the bookshelf one in between the nonstackables and potions?
Edit: i just tried some other things and i cant figure out how to make this work with the raid farm sorter. @rocketbuilder if you could make a vid on how to make it work with the raid farm that would be really nice
This can go in replacement of the V2 sorter. The potion sorter will probably have to be moved to the right by a block or so.
