As a 4Runner owner only for 20+ years (current ride is a '15 TRD Pro I bought new), if I were ever in the market for a new vehicle this would probably be #1 on my list. The new 4Runners look good but, I like this better.

They can even go lower than whatever is being offered there and still make a huge killing because they barely paid anything for our cars, except shipping and getting runners to steal them. And if its just the old models that are being sold there, then there will be an even BIGGER demand for these western models.

Bet it will end up like the FJ. Once you get past the quirky/toy looks it’s just a 4Runner for $10-15k more. The Lexus GX is a far better value for the money. I think the LC sales will underperform in the long run.

I ordered the 1958 in black. Yes I lose a few things. But the “sway bar disconnect” gives you 10% more articulation on just the front…. Needed? No. Something to fix and work around if you alter the suspension…. Yes. I don’t need a bigger screen. I would like the cameras but again don’t need them. And once everyone here has a kid spill milk or similar in a ventilated seat…. Well…. You’ll change your mind.

From what I understand the headlights are interchangeable. You can purchase that model and buy the round headlights later if you like. When you are ready for a change switch ‘‘em out 😁
Right... well looks are a matter of personal preference. The entire competition range in this class is pretty nice: Land Cruiser, 2025 4Runner, Defender, Bronco, Wrangler, GX, G-wagon... only G-wagon is priced out of this world, but the Defender will bring up the same total after about 3 years....

You can literally buy a brand new Land Cruiser and keep it for 3 years or so and it will cost you at most $10k in depreciation (if you keep the miles down and excellent condition). Land Rover / Range Rover will cost you $40k-$50k in depreciation over the same time period. And you have a better looking, more reliable vehicle while owning it. Plus, you don’t look like a maxed out credit card / lease special db while driving it like the Range Rover/G Wagon, etc.

Idk why you are surprised, this is the flagship model, of course it’s going to be expensive. For the same price as the top end model of the LC you can get a mid-grade Lexus GX550 with the twin turbo V6. If that’s still too pricey that’s why the 4Runner just came out.

I think the 250-Series Land Cruiser should get the Trailhunter and hardcore TRD variants depending on how successful these extreme off-road trims are for both the Tacoma and 4Runner.

Exactly. This was one of the main reasons we ended up going with the Sequoia which uses the new V6 Hybrid. With nearly 440 HP that thing hauls a$$$$.... but it's expensive, hell they're all expensive at this point.

I don't think it make sense to compare this LC to the 200 series. This is actually a LC Prado which the biggest engine it came in was a 4.0 V6 gas.

Exactly. This was one of the main reasons we ended up going with the Sequoia which uses the new V6 Hybrid. With nearly 440 HP that thing hauls a$$$$.... but it's expensive, hell they're all expensive at this point.
This thing looks great. I'd buy this over a Defender every single day. Every day.

The Landcruiser brand is built to lay not to be flashy or fast. More refinement seperates the 4runner from the LC250

So I felt the same way but more so about the taillights I like the boxy lights and I'd love to throw that Lexus light bar on the back of the land cruise call it the GX Cruiser also how come there are no v6 hybrids? I felt like this would have been a great vehicle for it

Problem in America it seem the only things matter is how fast they can go from 0 to 60. Myself when buying a vehicle it's more about reliability of the brand.
It looks amazing, but let’s be real. Most of us are going to be driving this to grocery stores or in places with close corners. And that view looks extremely at seeing what’s down below.
Please, tell us at what RPM do we get 465 lb/ft of torque? In Canada I expect the availability and price will be unavailable and too high for more than next year. Always enjoy your reviews.
