Thank you Dr. Jones so much for your channel. I have a 1 1/2 year old Labrador who seems to have allergies and ring worm. Just picked up monistat today. :) will treat him for 6 weeks. I heard you mention Science Diet. I've been feeding Charly Science Diet dog food for about 4 months, is this a yes or a no on this brand? I don’t know if my dog has asthma, but would there be any reason that I notice increased frequency of panting in the evening? Tried honey and lemon juice, which seems to help, yet I’m perplexed by this observation. Thanks so much !!
My friend went to Harvard medical, he said dogs do have asthma too, they can take similar meds like humans too but with smaller dosage.

Any suggestions for 8 yr kitty having hard sporadic stools? Drink enough .. eats both kibble and soft can. Farmina (ND) grain free food.
Vet. suggested prescription Royal Canine kibble which I don’t care for. Mostly corn (gastrointestinal formula)

My neighbors dog got bite by a rattlesnake a few days ago.. Would you consider doing a video on what to do when snake bites your pet .. they make a rattlesnake vaccine for dogs is that a good idea to add that on to their regular vaccines?

You give them benadryl immediately after the bite. It will help with the allergic reaction.

I have dogs and horses and lie in a very rural area where rattlesnakes are a dime a dozen so I make it my business to know basic first aid for that nature.
I hope he make a video as well. It's recommended for humans as well. The most important thing is to keep the airways open, obviously. Good luck to you.

My dog has asthma and havks up flem a lot. The vet kept him on pred for over a year and it doesn't do anything for him anymore. I want to do tinctures to replace the steroid cause since i have weened him off the pred he's happier, more energy, less bloated, not gassy or incontinent anymore.

I'm taking my dog the vet tomorrow if no better but she hasn't eaten since yesterday and her breathing is different she is small so usually pants but she's got her mouth shut and as soon as she goes outside she pants really heavy could this be asthma?

Dr. Jones, my little 5 pound Chi was diagnosed in 2018. She now has an enlarged heart on the left side, its so bad her top ribs are pushing against her trachea, she is slowly drying. I have severe asthma, we are both on steroid inhalers. I get hers thru Canada, it's 75+% less than the US. It's almost 400.00 for an inhaler here. She just turned 10, far too young for a little Chihuahua to die. You mentioned a nebulizer, I have one. What kind of meds would I put in one for Brie? I can have my Vet order it for me if I knew what to put in one and order adog nebulizer mask online.
I'm in Florida, I dont bring plants in the house because of mold, but we go outside and we are surrounded by all the allergens. She is not suffering, I wont let her suffer. I cut everthing up tiny on homemade food. I suppliment with Raw Goats milk I syringe in her mouth, she wont drink it from a bowl. Brie is my ❤ dog and it's heartbreaking what is happening to her. I think a nebulizer would help as the inhaler, Flovent is only once a day. She is also on pimobendan 1/4 of a tablet twice-a-day she's also been on that since 2019. I don’t know where you are in Florida. My dad said the red tide was giving him and the dog allergy issues. It’s been bad for the red tide for two years but this 2022/2023 year is bad. It is going out with tide. We were in a large lunar pull at the time so maybe it’s because of that. He’s in Venice.

@@momof4bostons I’m so sorry. I lost my precious Molly, March of last year. My little pomipoo didn’t know life without her. Her depression was so real it got concerning. We rescued another shepherd Pyrenees mix. I think that Beau was sent to us by Molly. He was dumped on the side of the road in a crate. The people who rescued him had good intentions but they were finally convinced to turn him over to the rescue because he lived outside on a chain without proper shelter. I believe the neighbor was feeding him and got animal control involved. He’s just like Molly. Zoey showed him the ropes. He is probably 4 years old when we got him. He is now not hiding from our friends when they come over and is obviously feeling very secure and safe. No furniture is off limits. I buy leather…lol. Zoey improved immediately. Then my husband saved a cat from being crushed at his work a month after Beau came. She was tiny. Couldn’t find mama. We were going to foster her until our rescue could find a home. Never had a cat. She is the sweetest thing and loves attention. I didn’t think they were like that. She stayed. We get attached to these little fur babies don’t we? I am so sorry for your loss. Thankful for finding Dr Jones. My little Zoey is reverse sneezing. I use to give Molly an allergy supplement. Of course Zoey wanted them too. I would break of a small piece for her. Once Molly passed I had stopped giving them to Zoey. She got some coconut oil for her health but never related this cough to allergies. She isn’t itchy. Well Im going to buy Dr Jones supplements. I think the probiotics in that allergy treat was the key for her sneeze. She’s always had it but never very much at all. Now it’s going on several times a day since Spring. The honey and lemon juice stops it for hours. This man is a life saver. Glad you don’t have to deal with red tide. My mom and dad have never complained about it. They winter in Florida.

My 1 1/2 year old Great Dane gets these weird breathing episodes when he wakes up that are so short I can never catch it on video. It almost seems like a spasm. Could that be asthma?
That's why I'm here also. I can never video it. My dog is older, but I can only recognize the sound as some sort of asthma attack. Some vets will insist or treat as if "dog asthma" isn't possible. It looks like, at least to me and others, it is. Once in a blue moon, it happens twice in a row with my dog. In due time, I think Ill get it on video- I hope I don't and it never happens again! I'm going to try hollistic first before heading over to the prednisone side of the counter. Good luck Natalie!
