I don't have money for a vet. I was given a dog but I think he has kennel cough. I'm going to try the honey,lemon cough syrup. Bless you for not being greedy and I pray God prospers your practice.

My Chihuahua dog has a tumor on the lungs. He’s been managing OK with some medication couple of days she started to cough very dry and it’s hard to know if it’s the allergies that he gets every year or is the same mess I want to do some remedies, and when I give him that lemon with honey and see how he does and it may be too many fire or steam in the bathroom. Is there anything you can tell me.?

@@VeterinarySecrets i know this is an older video and i have seen your new video on coconut oil my dog has that hair ball effect and has been to the vet many times all tests have been done and they cant determine what it is shes got they ruled out kennel cough and most of what you covered iam only on day 2 with the cocunt oil will be interesting to see what works best thank you regardless your work is fantastic

Two of our dogs have come down with horrendous coughs. Assuming kennel cough since they were recently boarded while we were out of town for a few days. I did the licorice root, lemon juice, honey, and water recipe you shared and it is absolutely amazing! Once we get it down them, the coughing stops and they can rest. Thank you so much!

so true !! a lot of these vets will use scare tactics to get you to pay big money for your pets - they know you love your pet s so they pray on that. i understand that's its a business but some are just purely unethical.
I agree with you too!! Now that I've gotten older you can always check your local Vets. background at the Veterinary State Board fir any complaints or disciplinary actions against them! So Thank God our Blessed States make anybody practicing carry & register for a License & they can't be abusing your loving pet for a profit as they are monitored & investigated for any unlawful practices, as they took a Vets. oath to be dutiful & serve as Dr's to save pets lives!!!
90% of vet here in the Philippines will only take your money. Legit VET is someone who really take care of your doggos. I can that this VET is legit thanks for your free service.

A couple of our dogs ended up getting this cough and we gave them the lemon and honey mixture and they coughed a bit here and there but aren't as bad as they were. Thank you so much for you advice !

This helps so much! The vet gave me a homeopathic medicine for his anxiety and the last thing that I read on the package was feather plucking! I did not even know that was a real thing I thought it was just my special pup! I had to switch out all my pillows but I notice if there is a blanket left down he will find any lint he can to bite off of the blanket, bless his little heart!

Thank you, so clear, so concise and so helpful....wish my vet were like you. He just gave antibiotic shot, pills and steroid. No suggestions as to what to do about the wet nasal sounds when my dog breathes nor the cough. No diagnosis, just said it may be a cold. Love the honey/tea/water tip as well as the humidifier tip! Both have helped as well as sitting in the steamy bathroom on the floor while the hot shower runs and the door closed and sealing off the gap under the door. We sit there and I pet and soothe him. This works the fastest, for him! Thank you again, your care and compassion are obvious!!

Thanks for the video. We live in Panama, Central Am. where spanish is the language. We have 9 rescue dogs but only one with a cough. The dogs are outside all the time, free to roam and play and guard our property. Our rescue with the cough is a large female (spayed) sleek and beautiful. She eats well and has lots of energy. She has had this cough off and on for a year. Lately it has become worse. I will try the dandelion drink on her and later the cough syrup. I appreciate the natural remedies because getting info from a vet here is difficult, and they treat everything they see with antibiotics. Keep up the good work, doc.!

This is the best advice I’ve heard in years. We are a natural remedies and whole foods family. Our dog, Bailey, get holistic dog kernel food and is quite a happy and healthy 10 year old Shi Tzu. We do give him a small amount of my homemade kefir, every day, and a few of the grains, once a week.
Since watching your video on coughing, it sounds like Bailey May have the tracheal collapse type. We will switch him from the collar to a harness even though, most times, we use a Halti with the leash.

Hydrocodone works in small doses daily and ive been using it for two yrs. Recently ran out and im trying mullein and honey and coconut oil

DON'T put a collar on Dogs use a harness. Collars are bad for the neck and throat..

My dog has had intermittent coughing since approximately 2007. He has mainly been treated by different vets with steroids to tackle the inflammation. His symptoms appear to be similar to Tracheal Collapse, The incidents of him coughing have become more frequent as he gets older. I started treating him with honey and lemon and, after two weeks, he is cough free.
I am delighted with this result, I was frightened of the continual use of steroids with all the problems this could cause to his health.

Thank you for this. We have a few cases of Kennel Cough among the local dogs. My own dog coughed this morning ending in retching which produced some fluid. I will try some Pulsatilla as it fits the description. I will also give some honey and lemon in warm water. Fingers crossed. Really helpful information - thanks again.

Hi Doc, thanks for your great info! My schnauzer started passing out after his 14th B'Day. After that traumatic event, the vet diagnosed an enlarged heart (worse than he's ever seen) and gave him 2 days at the most to live. We went home with 4 medications and to let him eat anything he wants. Instead I put him on homemade organic food including organic treats and prayers. Just recently he started coughing (for the last 3 days) and for 4 weeks the vet put him on fluid treatments to flush the kidneys from the medication (over 400 count brought down to 200 - again he shouldn't have been walking around). 7 months after diagnoses he had some water went to lay down started coughing...I picked him up - kept coughing after about 45 sec. started panting and passed away in my arms. I was thankful for the extra time we were given but still wonder if there might have been anything else I could have done? Your cough remedy? Earlier that day he passed out twice for about 2 seconds after he did his businesses. Sorry for rambling...he was so alert and in the moment. Do you think it was just his time or did I miss doing something. Can't stop thinking about him. Thanks!

I have a 16 yr old chihuahua. He has a heart murmur. There is meds they can take for it. You take her to the vet. If she is coughing at night, try the coconut oil, lemon and honey plus humidifier to settle until morning

Honey works so great with my chihuahua.
I have a chihuahua also and my vet said meds are like band-aids, it doesn't solve the coughing problem.

My dog just started a cough a few weeks ago, nothing comes up but a little flem once in a while. We have a furry cat that sheds all over the damn place too. they share beds, idk but the coughs random and sometimes triggered by sudden movement.
Shes a 9yo healthy dachsy. No fatigue from it either. Sucks, too poor to bring her in n i feel bad but she seems like i did a month ago when i had thick mucus and felt like hairballs in my throat.
I got a hunch but now cutting fab softeners cuz she likes to lick the bed sometimes. Also cutting some of moms 300 auto aerosols and oil burners

I love the info. I did some research on remedies and found coconut oil and honey. I mix both together, I have a little fur baby about 10 lb. 1 teaspoon @.
