For the low-priced bedroom, you should have used a baby basinet and put only half of the wall paper up and put boxes and paint cans everywhere. Nursery under construction!
I thought the same thing! Even just an empty room would've been alright like it's a spare room I know so many people with a spare bedroom
agnes crumplebottom vibes
I came down to comment the same thing!
I was thinking a dog bed and say it was for a dog!
I was thinking the same thing!
The kids rooms are giving me "first one was planned, but the second one was an accident" vibes
Oh my😅
Definitely! I was once a ten year old with a double bed and beautifully decorated big bedroom, and my unexpected baby sister had the upstairs toilet knocked out and a custom-built shelf-bed put in 😂
Exactly 😂
Twins
Parents in that household: we love our children equally!
Toddler's room:
Maybe it's, like, one of the parents had a sibling who unexpectedly passed, and now they need to semi-regularly babysit their niece/nephew, so they're putting together a room for them, but it's so recent they haven't had the time to fully decorate it.
I know for, like, about a decade of my life, my baby cousin lived with us every third day because her mom died shortly after she was born and my uncle works a "36 hours at home, 24 hours at work" schedule, so for that 24 hours, she would come and stay at my house.
Tod gets no potty 😭
@@pandakatiefominz Aww that's sad :(
She Couldn't Afford It.
@@rosebush18 Well Tod spelled his name wrong so that's his punishment
Hello Kayla! I have a suggestion: the sims 4 but every item is sized one time up. The walls are tall, and the windows too. Don't size up the windows and mirrors lol
Love this idea
Yesss
I have an idea too! NO WHITE SWATCHES!
yesss!!! love this idea!
@@steep9790 or....as you use each item you use the next swatch so item 1 - swatch 1 - item 2 - swatch 2 etc...that would be pure chaos 👀👀
Love that she has pets bowls and nothing else pet related, and a toddler's room with no potty lmao
I mean to be fair all pets need in the sims is food and the toddlers can just poop their diaper lol
You just have to get a dog since there is no litter box.
i used to always have a potty in my nursery but the toddlers get embarrassed when they get walked in on 😂
@@valyeet In 2 and 3 I'd always attach a toddlers' bathroom to nurseries, with a toddler potty and a changing table.
not very practical
One of my favorite challenges to watch are the each room is a different _____, it’s always so entertaining!
Sameeeee
They are my favorite to watch and do myself
It’s always so interesting to see the creators reaction 😂
Same! They also are the ones that inspire me to do it myself the most! Rags to riches? nah. Random rooms
sameee!!!
You should try the pre-made room challenge where each room is one of the pre-made ones from build mode!!
I’d love to see her do that challenge again, and I think she lost her mind last time 😂
omG YES
@@yuhhbiscuit she’s done it before?!
@@bellasaperston1308 Yeahh, she has at least 2-3 times already.
@@yuhhbiscuit I can’t find them! Would you mind putting the link to them?
How about, once you get early access to the new pack, every room is a different occult/lifestate? A house with all the rooms themed after different kinds of Sims, like a vampire kids room, a mermaid living room, a plantsim bathroom, a servo garden, and an alien kitchen. Heck, you could even include Skeletons, Zombies, and Fairies, since while they don't exist in game (or in Skeletons' cases, as playable Sims), you could probably still make rooms themed after them. If anything it'd probably make a really... interesting house
Yes!!! This would be so good.
No!!! this would be so bad.
I would say the sims in strangerville are pretty zombie-esque
@@wig.snatcher
Bad for a house maybe. Good for content!😂
I would LOVE to see this!
I swear EVERY time Kayla is like "you know we've gotten really lucky so far" the next room is literally like 200 simoleons lol
Me: "Oh that dining room's pretty nice."
Kayla: "This rooms sucks"
Me: "You're right, it's bad."
I love a good building challenge where Kayla loses her mind 😂
Don't we all-
@@Toadette- I feel bad for saying I enjoy but still 😂
Ah yes, every build challenge, where she uses the same furniture, makes the same mediocre house, and still loses her mind. She should really go into acting.
@@maddy2860 Having a bad day ?
@@maddy2860 and you should escort your @$$ out the door.
It would be interesting to do a build where you spin first for the overall budget, then each room you spin to see how much of that budget you use and subtract that from the overall until your final room you have just whatever is left.
So like, you spin and get 85600 for the overall budget. So you can have the minimum set to whatever but your new upper limit is that one, and say you spin 4580 for the first room, which then leaves you to spin for minimum up to 81020 for the second room, etc etc.
Love that!
Good idea!
This is a very good idea! 👍 I would love to see that 😄
Idea! "Every room is inspired by a different death" in the Sims 4 ⚰️🐀😂🫢👵🏊♀️⚡👩🔧🐄
this would be so interesting!!
I would love to see you struggling to buy objects that use up the entirety of the budget with these challenges, so you’re not allowed any money left over and you HAVE to buy random crap just to use up the money lol.
Yes! That is more in line with the challenge. That way if you get a large amount, there is still a challenge to it.
Yes, and make the max higher
Yea, this would make it more complicated, I think in the way that simsie is looking for
Has she ever done a "each room is the same budget"?
no :o
Oh that could be really fun!
Plot twist 🤯
That could be really fun! Would it be like, a predetermined spin budget and it’s just once for each room, or like… decide your own budget by furnishing the first room?
@@chancematters it'd be predetermined at the beginning. So spin x amount and that'd include walls and doors per each room
I love this type of challenge!! The “every room is a different -“ challenges can be so versatile
Very challenging video idea: “Every Room is a Different Budget, but it’s a Starter Home.”😅
Start the challenge with the full 20k in the random # generator, then subtract once you finish a room. So 0-20k, then 0-17k, etc. If one room uses the whole budget then you're done!
@@TashaFierce01 exactly what I was think! I would love to see her do this.
Yes! This is a great idea!
Recommendation: Try randomizing a number and whatever you get is the money you have for each room. Examply, if you randomize 3821 simoleons every room has to use that same amount. Itd show how far the money can go in different rooms in comparisons.
I've done this, with 1000 for each room, but for furniture and lighting (I excluded walls, doors, windows, flooring. It was fun, but the kitchen was... limited (I didn't have City Living at the time either). I also required myself to use every last bit of money.
I feel like she should try this challenge where she has to have exactly 0 simoleons leftover for each room.
The real challenge with these is actually using up every single Simoleon exactly, nothing leftover. Of course, the last time I did this I didn't have the sense to do a floorplan first, so I was making rooms willy-nilly and using up part of my budget on the size of the room itself. XD
"I've never put dishwashers in my build, and I'm not going to start today!"
Kayak's Sims: *I see, so you have chosen... rotten food all over your house...*
I always use the parenthood dishwasher 'cause it's waaay less expensive lmao
Get Lin-Z smart speaker and get friendly with it. Ask for jokes and play the questions game, never scream at it, to build up your relation. If your house gets to dirty, it'll call someone to clean it all for you, for FREE.
With Discover University, you have some garbage chutes. Those cost $0, and never get full. So, you can place several in the house. Even put one in each room if you wish.
Add the homey lot trait to the house, and your Sims will like cleaning the house. That way, my Sims often do the dishes autonomously. Even the kids will clean their dishes. In fact, they may even clean dirty sinks, toilets, baths and showers by themselves.
I never use dishwashers either, I get the selling trash can and drag all the dishes and trash to there. It’s worth the time!!
@@Kualinar bruh i literally tried so hard to get my sims to become friends with the smart speaker but it is SO hard 😭😭 is there some trick to building a relationship with it 😭😭
@@florrrina Pretty simple and relatively easy in fact.
Ask it to play some random music style a few times.
At least occasionally, dance to that music.
Ask for a joke. Do it about 10 times in a row.
Then, ask for a trivia questions a few times.
Keep on alternating between both.
DON'T ever scream at it. That will degrade the relation.
It it brake down, repair it promptly.
I feel like it should be a rule in these kind of budget videos to use up the money fof every room as much as possible. What's the point of getting a high number if you just leave 1000 simoleons in the end? :(
We love a next opportunity for Simsie to say it’s fine 😂
Forever and always 😂
Challenge idea! Every room is a different budget BUT the excess funds roll over (like in home renovation shows---less spending in one area can mean more in another). The kicker is that you have to randomize the ORDER you decorate the rooms and the funds added to the overall budget per room. So the first room you get has the lowest, flattest budget, but if you're smart, the last room can have a lot of leftover funds from previous rooms!
i actually really enjoyed watching you not struggle. This was very satisfying!
I love how she talked about pets, put two bowls and didnt add anything else for a pet. Not pet toys or pet beds lol..
When she was building the living room I thought that the empty space she had could’ve been great for pet stuff 😂
love these types of videos! been thinking of trying this challenge but i can't help myself cheating money when i don't like how a room looks 😅
I'm just one out of 1,5 millions bit I still wanted to give my feedback that I just love when you do these crazy build challenges. My other fav videos is when you build or renovate something on camera, and also the 10 minute rush challenges. And of course, Stanley videos. They always make me feel cozy, some lightweight entertainment after a hard day. Thank you for making videos!
I love how Kayla always recommends her other videos like this at the end, like I haven’t already watched all of them multiple times lol
I love these challenges videos, they're always so much fun!
as someone who grew up moving around and had our family computer at the end of a hallway in one apartment, and at the top of our stairs landing in another house, there's no mockery from me about where you put your desks!!
I missed these challenges so much! Honestly I’d watch 10-in-a-row!
I’d be so up for you making these kinda videos regularly for as long as they’re still fun for you 😊
VIDEO IDEA: HAVE SOMEONE COMPILE SCREENSHOTS OF ALL THE HOUSES YOU'VE BUILT AND GUESS WHAT VIDEO THEY WERE FROM
Fun!
Hahahaha. That would be funny to watch considering 90% of them are blue suburban! 😅
You should do the rooms in the colour theme of different pride flags!
I did this last year and it was very fun. I painted the outside rainbow and called in The Big Gay House lol
@@harmonicaveronica The Big Gay™
I love these challenges but for the next one you should be required to use all the budget for the room, not just leave 100 simoleons !!
*she always has the most fun challenges lol*
You think she came up with this?
Each room a different budget, but the max price higher, way higher. And you would actually need to use it all (as far as possible). Would be so versatile with pricy, stuffed rooms and half empty, cheap rooms.
You should do random color because its pride month
I’m loving this series so far ❤️
In the living room, when looking for a big painting, I think you missed seeing the 5 panel painting set, which has some nice orange-hued images (as well as blues, greens, etc). It's remarkably cheap for such a large piece of art and has some nice variations, seasonal themes, mountains & forests, desert mesas, and old barns. They're called the "Panels of Perfection" (200 simoleons). I'll admit it's one of my favorites, so maybe I'm biased (lol, of course I am), but consider taking a peek at it next time?
Next build like this -- you should get to pick the room off of the budget. That way you are giving yourself a chance of a higher budget for rooms you pick as priority! But once furnished you have move on so you can have potential to really second guess your decision making & if you chance waiting for a larger budget!
I love the colour/vibes of this build. The bathroom/laundry room is very cute! I really like how you shaped and designed it.
Ugh I love all of these build challenges!! I legit just rewatch so many
I love the matching of the bed pillows and the circles on the wall in the bigger bedroom upstairs. So perfect!❤😊
this is like my favorite sims challenge!!!! love you kayla awesome content!!
I remember watching Kayla when she was at 500k its great to her come so far, still entertaining and hasn't changed😂❤❤
Kayak is one of the most entertaining build simmers to watch ~
These challenges are really fun to watch
I would love to see you rate the furniture items in the game, like the top 5 beds/sofas/rugs etc. Love your videos!
I really like the teen room! I've never really thought to use that wallpaper, especially with that bed swatch.
Did anybody else notice that Kayla just but the rob in the laundry room on the door😂😂😂😂. I love your content❤️❤️❤️.
I love this house so much!! Despite the fact it is a challenge, I think it’s one of the prettiest houses simsie has made! I love the kitchen and bathrooms, using a lot of parenthood
Hello! Thought I’d suggest this again! Every room is based off a sims 4 painting like the clown one!
I love the every toom is a different whatever! It's inspired me to do it myself!
Randomised house build idea!! - house is a random budget and then each room has a random budget that is detracted from the total
eg - randomised 40,000 total budget - kitchen budget randomised is 15,000 leaving 25,000, bathroom budget is 1,000 leaving 24,000 etc etc?? sorry if this has already been done I don’t think I’ve seen it before
Kayla so frequently posts videos of start home builds. This generator was fun bc it had her using higher numbers for each room! I really like the way this house turned out. 10/10 blue suburban!
You should do one where you "save" any extra money and decorate one room with the left over budget
These videos are really fun to watch💕
Nothing beats my college tireness like watching lilsimsie build
Thanks!
I watched those of your "random budget" videos every single day (for some reason), and this is very pleased for me.
this is probably one of the best random budget videos of yours:) just don't lower the minimum and the maximum!
If you like this challenge a lot then try painting a painting and using that painting to design one room and keep doing that over and over again so you have a full house.
Hopefully that made sense
Whenever I watch one of your videos I always wanna play the sims right after! 😂
Simsie: hanging shelf is bad in toddlers room
Me: Concrete is also probably a bad idea
14:42 I feel you on that. I was trying to build a pink mansion and I wanted to use a lot of pink rugs but barely any of them looked good.
You should mix all the “every room is a different ____” challenges. So have many different wheels and end up with like “4x4 blue room for 4,000 simoleons” or “7x7 red room for 100 simoleons” etc
Just what I needed so I can watch while cleaning my room lmao
I love these kinds of videos thank u kayla
I feel like these videos are comforting because they are all the same.
I LOVE THIS CHALLENGE. MISS IT TOO
Whenever i feel down I watch your videos and they make me happy
This house is actually really cute! I like how you went for different vibes
i actually really like that it was favorable for kayla the whole video (excluding the end LMAO) it limited how much she could spend but i personally really liked the end result of the house, even with the toddler room!!!
Another cool home renovation game is called "Tools Up"; I think it would make a nice challenge to take some of their floorplans and see what could be done there, the first few levels start out fairly normal and then it just goes totally haywire, but might be a fun build project. Keep up the great work!
omg i was literally just binge watching your past ''each room is a different ____'' videos :0
I have watched like a 100 times the previous one each room is a different _______, I’m glad a new one came!
These are my favourite challenges to watch!!
I love when you do this challenge!❤️
10/10 vid like always. **I have an idea for a vid**: building a venue with the MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and try to make it look good! For example if you build a bar you only get to use one toilet, one sink, one bar, one table and 4 chairs (I don’t know if those are actually the minimum requirements lol but you get the idea)
I'd love to see you tackle this again but on hard mode! Windows stairs and doors all need to be included in the budget that way you have to decide what you want to include and what you want to risk leaving to the next room etc and you have to use the full budget (or as close to as you can). Let the hilarity ensue with mismatched doors, ladders and awkward hallways ❤️
Please do another one of these challenges again soon, I love watching them.
Okay so can we take a second to admire that cute first bathroom! I love it!
Also that toddler room look like an insane asylum room 😂
I was thinking that! Like some kind of hospital...
Last night I was playing sims and had the funniest thing happen. One of my sims got a cow plant berry and I decided to plant it. I wanted to see what it does so I named it first. The name that popped up automatically was “Little Simzee”. You’ve made it into the game 😂
Seeing you play sims has made me wanna get back into it. I can't wait for it to be free in a couple of days :D
Also stop calling your builds bad when they're way way better than anything I could do XD They honestly look quite good for the most part lol
These are my favorite challenges along with the townie ones!
I want the max amount to be bigger (10-15k) and you _have_ to use all of the money. Like you aren't allowed to have over 100 simoleons left for any room. Get 15000, use the expensive get famous furniture. Doing it that way makes it way more chaotic because the rooms are so different and don't match.
This looks so beautiful
I was not expecting the return of the bigfoot stuffie, this is a giant plot twist
Uh, yes! More challenges! 🤩 Love them. ☺️
I love that "cheapest base game couch", mostly because I have had couches irl that looked just like that and were super comfortable lol. Sometimes I try to build houses that look as close to the real life homes I've lived in, so I use that couch all the time.
I LOVE the teen’s room!
i love these challeennges
I love these challenges!
I have been watching you so long that I start to think like you when I build😂😂
i love this challenge so much
the pink kids room gives me 2000s/early 2010s (european??) teen vibe!! rush of nostalgia lol:)
the bigfoot plushie came in so clutch lol the bear alone in that room was giving five nights at freddys
I get so inspired to play sims from these videos 😭
I always LOVE these videos
Good video! ❤️ Otherwise, in Sims, you can make pocket thefts if the sim has a high level of vandalism. You can earn money with that. New rags to riches maybe? ✨
