I think you should do a challenge like this again, but set up a minimum budget and conversely have TOO MUCH money to furnish, but you can't have more than 15 simoleons left after furnishing each room. Bonus if the house is small. I feel like that would get painful very easily, and "try not to use Get Famous golden toilet challenge" LOL
@@silvervixen007 omg same! I hate that like that's the entertaining part and why I watch it to see struggle lol I click away the sec she does shit like that
I feel like a rich version of this challenge would be so fun, like the lowest budget is 5,000 and the highest is like 20,000 or something. And she has to use as much as possible of the budgets. Imagine what she could do with that much money inside a house lol
I loved how Kayla tried to put a thermostat in the living room and couldn't because of the budget but forgot to put it on any other room when the funds were sufficient (read this in Jennifer Hudson's voice) LOL
I JUST LOVE THIS KIND OF VIDEOS! If you can, I would love to see some more “each build is a different townie”, that Eliza Pancankes room still lives in me lol
I actually like all the colorful warm and cool tones of this house. The layout with the backdoor in the parents bedroom and the windows in the living room and the front hall for natural lighting were just some of the things I like about the house as well. I'd probably change the kid's room to match a bit more with the rest of the house (I'm a sucker for warm colors). Very cozy lil' home! I need to start a new Sims 4 save and use this house to play in.
When/if you get early access to the new pack you should make an "every room is a different townie" house but for the new townies. kind of like a "meet the sims" video
Could you do a family with randomized traits/interests and use a starter budget to make a house that caters to their specific aspirations/interests? Like the family defines the home. Idk if it would be super interesting, but it might be fun.
i dont remember the user @ but a while ago i saw someone talking ab a challenge where you basically make a regular house lay out, plan for hallways, rooms, bathrooms, kitchens etc. but then use a wheel to determine what the room actually is. so you might have to fit a whole bedroom in a bathroom space- or a living room in a hallway. and i thought that idea was super neat so i thought id bring it up again cause id love to see it
I looove this challenge, especially when the budget ends up being high enough that you can afford the necessities, but low enough for you to struggle and have to branch out, use items you don't often use, or tricks to get around the budget. I find it so entertaining to watch your creativity in action !! love u kayla
this challenge and the "each room is a different size" are two of my favorite videos of yours to watch, i think id like to see you be able to make all the rooms first and then put them together to see if you can make a decent product :) sure its technically funnier when you cant do that but id love to see if you could even make something decent out of that
I really enjoy that you start these challenges with vague rules and then change the rules for NO reason. Why was there a limit on walls but doors are free? I do not understand 😂
Just wanted to thank you for your daily videos, today has been really hard and my anxiety is sky high but this is comforting to me. Thanks for being my safe place ❤️
this feels like a grandma's house and she decorated it in "trendy" color schemes and then got just like a super generic kids room for when her grandkids come over
I think there should be higher budgets. I think sometimes it’s harder to make a 100,000 simoleon bathroom and would be funnier. We’ve all seen simsie do starter homes and small budgets, I think higher budgets would be funnier 😊
I don't know what the colour scheme was but I really like this build. Especially the kitchen, dining room and living room together. It has fun colours and it is a very positive cute build.
Happens a lot in her builds, it's because she clicks each panel to paint instead of alt/shift painting the entire room/wall. Sometimes it registers on the wrong side of the wall, especially when working quickly. It had been correctly painted when she did the hallway (4:50) but got overridden when she did the living room.
A fun idea could be to have 3 wheels to spin to make the build, one picks the room, one picks the size, and one picks the cost and you have to build a whole house through that.
Idea for a similar challenge: you set max random sum very high (like 200k or more), ramdomise and get money for the whole house. Then, you get a piece of that budget for every room. For example, you randomise 200k, so your max sum for exterior will be 200k. Say, you randomise 50k, so the next max is 150k, and so on :)
to make it better i would put the min at what the min is for that room, Like a bedroom would be the lowest amount you need for a bed, dresser and the max would be the pricest of them
Yeah I feel like the minimum should never be below what it would cost to make the room function. Like for a functioning bathroom I think the minimum is like 700 if you wanted a toilet, shower and sink.
I LOVE that debug eco lifestyle tv so much, I use it in almost every build and I desperately wish there were more vintage looking electronics in the game like that one
I have an idea for a variation of this challenge! Basically the same but with a budget. So for example, say you have a total of 20.000, decide on a room to start and randomize on that 20.000. Say you get 2.000 so you subtract that from the budget, and for the next room you randomize on 18.000 instead of 20.000. I think it could be interesting trying to decide what room to build first, maybe risking others. Could be interesting or could be imposible if you get the whole budget in one room.. just an idea
I think it would be fun to change the rules a little. 1) No free items 2) Have to have $50 or less left after each room 3) The range should be more realistic $1000 to10k or 15k per room 4) You can save leftover budget from one room and use in a 2nd room later in the build (Can only be done once so choose wisely). 5) Must have an office/skills room 6) Each room must contain at least 1 decoration or non-useful item. 7) You can choose each room out of order (Ex do a bedroom then do a living room, etc.) so you can strategically save your leftover money from Rule 4. 8) You can choose to combine Entry and Hallways into one room or choose to leave them separated. In the end its the same concept but it gives you a goal to work for because if you get 10k and only spend 3K you're not really using your budge not making it a challenge.
So you do a challenge with budged but when thr budged isnt enough you say that doors not count and use money for other rooms? It was such a cool idea why do you make it so bad. Thats no challenge, its disappointing.
This just gave me an idea - I build a tiny house, divide the budget by the tile footprint of the house, and each area has the budget of how many tiles it covers - so like, if a starter budget is 20k, then you subtract say, 2k for the plot, 5k for exterior, that leaves 13k left, divide that by (32/64/100), that gives (406/203/130) per tile, so maybe you're left needing say the kitchen bigger in order to gave enough tiles to afford the appliances. Maybe I increase the budget beyond starter 20k though...
I am watching this for the second time now because the first time I wasn’t paying attention at all. I play my Legacy Challenge while I watch your videos sometimes and today was that time. I focused on building my family’s house and couldn’t watch. Well at least I can rewatch it as many times as I want
Ugh, the fun of this challenge should be to use the EXACT budget, and yet again Simsie changes the max randomly, doesn't use up all the budget, goes to debug. Challenge videos are my fav, but I just can't watch them if the rules are fluid. Tapped out at 6:21 this time, sadly.
I tried this challenge myself and overall thr amount I got was great besides the kitchen and exterior of the house. I labeled it as "My first budget challenge" If you're ever able to find it, I would LOVE if you could renovate it! It's a MESS!
I think it would be a lot funnier and more of a challenge if you HAD to use up all the money in the budget for each room. Like the most you could leave unused is 50$ or something, and you just have to buy a bunch of really expensive things to get rid of all the money. Would be especially hilarious to get like 5000$ in a tiny hallway so you end up having to shove like three pricey lights and use the most expensive floor and wallpaper etc.
Building challenge idea: you build the a house but leave the rooms empty, then spin a wheel that has the names of the rooms (e.g. bathroom, bedroom 1, kitchen, bedroom 2…) and let the wheel decide what furniture will be in the rooms you furnish. So you could’ve build a giant space meant for a living room but the wheel may end on bathroom which leaves you with a giant bathroom at the front of the house
@@Creative_Fleur another idea, a build challenge where you start with say 100,000 simoleons and as you go from room to room you randomly generate money to deduct. So you might start off in the living room like “I have 100,000 simoleons, this is easy and spend 25,000, then by the time you get to the bedrooms you only have 5,000 left for 3 bedrooms because you spent lots to start with and then lost lots to the wheel (like taxes 😂)
idea for a spin off for this challenge - you roll for money. You enter simoleons to full thousands or hundreds, so if you rolled 4534 you can put money 4500. You save all those small amounts of simoleons and add them up for ONE FINAL ROOM OF DESTINY
What if you did a mix challenge. Like the number generator room challenge when it generates a random size room. Then this where you generate a price range to furnish said room. Love you ❤
Please do one in which each room is a different sims game. And each room will have to follow each game aesthetic and maybe the era when it was released. For example bathroom is inspired by sims 2, the master bedroom is sims 1, the kitchen is sims 3 and so on. (Sorry for my English. I love your content 🫶🥺)

The interior works, the exterior works. They don’t work together… may download (assuming and hoping this goes to the gallery!!!) this and change the outside lol
I’d love to see a build where you place all the items you want, but they all have to be the last swatch color. People are usually familiar with the primary swatches, but using the last swatch could be really interesting
