Hey Kristen I see some negative nellies here. Just want to encourage you as you share budget meals with us, it’s not easy with prices constantly changing, thank you!!! 🧡🧡🧡🍁🍁🍁🍁🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate that!
I went right out and brought the ingredients to make all the recipes in the video. I thank you so much for the ideas, gave me motivation because these are simple and kid friendly!!!
I am SO glad!!
Yum!!
My dad taught me a trick a long time ago: use two table knives to cut in like a pastry blender. One in each hand, and make a sawing motion, crossing the knives over each other. Works perfectly!
that's how I learned, 40 years ago!
Thanks for sharing!
Pregnant with baby #3 on the way and I need simplified recipes that are family friendly love you and your recipes and can’t thank you and your sisters enough for all you do to make my life easier when it comes to ideas to feed my family!! I’m asking for the membership for Christmas :) lol
Best of luck with the baby! Hope all is well!!
Great video! They all look crowd pleasers for families and that’s so important!! You did a good job on this one - maybe not exactly $5, but close enough and we all know you can’t control prices! They SHOULD easily have been $5 in a sane world! 😂
I think so too!!!
I think I’d love this biscuits and gravy more than the one I make. The recipe I use has layers of the biscuits, sausage, and prepared packaged sausage gravy topped with scrambled eggs and cheese. It is actually really good but I’d just like biscuits and gravy plain. Great ideas, gals!
I wish eggs were that cheap. I don't have a pastry cutter either. So for years I just use my potato masher and it works wonderfully
They are that cheap for white eggs in Indiana they are 99 cents for a dozen
@@natalieeubank4533 WOW!! That's amazing! How blessed are you!!
@@natalieeubank4533 I'm in Indiana too, but at my Wal-Mart it's $2.09 for a dozen.
Great recipes. With these prices you can really see how the food price have increased so much!
Thank you for your awesome recipes!!!
Thanks for the recipes. Greatly appreciated.
Love your recipes. Bring them on!
More to come!
Love your ideas and recipes.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love these recipes.
I love them too!!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
These look delicious!! I’m going to try some of these this week!
You should!! They are easy!
these look amazing!
They most definitely are!
@@SixSistersStuff delish! I made the french toast for breakfast and pizza for dinner! They both were a hit!!
Awesome recipes, thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
My pleasure 😊
*All meals look so delicious* 😍
Thank you so much!
Kristin, I love these recipes. Thank you.

What great recipes!! I'd eat any of them! Thanks
Glad you like them!
OMG love you guys! I am so glad I ran across this in my feed! ❤❤❤
We love you too!
Awesome video. I love biscuits and gravy. Looks all so delicious ❤️

Wonderful! Thank you, you too!

Hope you enjoy!!! Thanks for watching!
I never thought about doing my pasta in the instapot great idea. Everything looks 🤤 delicious
I am so happy you think so!
Yummy on the biscuits and gravy casserole Thank you for sharing kristen have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏
It's all so good!
I love biscuits and gravy. Thanks for sharing. Have a super fantastic day 💗 Sherry
Me too! It's such a good combination!!
Oh I just love French toast casserole. I put it in a bundt pan and toss it in the air fryer. Also the biscuits and gravy casserole. Prices are a bit higher in CA, but everything is more expensive in CA. Thank you for the inexpensive recipes!
Great idea!! You are so welcome!
I make the baked French toast all the time!! It is so good!!!
I'm so glad!! It's so good!
I love easy and these all look fantastic!!! 👍😁👍😁👍🤗🤗🤗
Thanks so much 😊
Happy Sunday sisters
Happy Sunday to you too!
AWESOME vid and recipes!! These are some EASY, very AFFORDABLE & DEEE-LICIOUS meals. I am really DIGGIN the Sausage & Biscuits and the French Toast Casseroles. I need more variety in my breakfasts. I can make a casserole and have leftovers. YUMMY!! And, will be FOR SURE ordering your seasonings. No doubt they're going to amp up, big time, the flavor in my meals. Thanks loads!! Arlene
I am so happy you enjoyed watching!!
I ordered 2 sets of the seasonings. I can’t wait to get them! I’m bad with names, Kendra, I think mentioned making kettle corn drizzling white chocolate on it and sprinkling the seasoning on it. That sounds so yummy.
It's so good!! You will absolutely love using them!
Unfortunately our Walmart went up on groceries this past week, but these dishes are still inexpensive and delicious! Thank you for the recipes and ideas. I’m drooling over the biscuits and gravy!
Oh no!! Glad you like them!
Ground turkey also works well for pizza.
Once again you knocked it out of the park!! Great ideas!! I am excited to order your new spices, they do sound amazing!! I have been thinking about something and not sure if it is doable or not. But, wanted to mention it to you. I have seen it on another recipe website and of course I don't remember it right now but, to have a section or tool where if you don't know what to make but you have all these ingredients in the cupboard you can go to this tool and type in what you have and it would bring up recipe suggestions to make based on what you have or minimal things to buy. It would be amazing and VERY helpful. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you SO much!! We are so happy you enjoy this video!
Love this! Thank you!! 🙂🙂
You are most welcome!!
Hi Kristin, things are a bit higher priced where I live but I will still make them anyways. Thanks for sharing your recipes. 🙂❤️
You are so welcome!
Yummmmyyy, thanks for sharing. Today is my grocery shopping day.
You are so welcome
I'm the video, in the biscuit and gravy recipe, Kristen didn't mention that she put a thickener in her gravy. I think she used floor according to the container sitting next to her stove. Milk and sausage won't thicken up enough for gravy in my experience.
Yes! Thank you!
I think one of the really interesting things with this is seeing the difference in food costs between you living in the US, and me living in Ontario, Canada. I think we are closer to $10, but they are still very budget friendly! (And they look amazing as well!)
They are!!
Hi Kristen, what size is the instant pot you used?
Looks Delish, can't wait to try them. No flour in the sausage gravy?
I have the two small of a pot problem more when I try to do soups or stews I always start out with a 4 quart dutch oven and always have to go to a big cooking pot I can never seem to make a small batch of those things
my kids will go nuts over the pizza casserole!
My kids ate it all!!
Where did you get your egg carousel? Looks great for fresh eggs.
You had me at brown sugar ❤️
Brown sugar is so good!!!
Great recipes ty! It is lots of sugar and flour though. Old school I realize but both cause inflammation. Fats are not the culprit as we use to think.
Thanks for the info!
These videos are still helpful, we just have to adjust a little bit
Thanks for noting that you only use those foil pans occasionally. My brain has been wired for thriftiness and my signals were going off when I saw that pan!
❤
Definitely more pizza sauce added for me in the pizza casserole.
You can do whatever you like!
Thanks for the recipe and I just purchased the churro spice. Can’t wait to get it. I have a question I know you said in previous questions that use flour in the gravy with the milk how much flour do you use? I have no idea.
I thought Id chime in. I put about 2 heaping tablespoons on the sausage when its done cooking. I then stir it around to brown it a little so that it does not taste like raw flour. then add your milk. I use about one pound of sausage, 4 cups milk, 2 cups water and 2T flour and of course salt and pepper.
@@MaAllen417 thank you so much
Those prices don’t reflect current prices. Eggs are $3.29 by me (Michigan)
I think she's only telling you how much that many eggs would cost out of the dozen, not the price of the whole dozen. Like with the milk she gives you the price of two cups, not the whole gallon.
@@nenaelliott8058 Well its only shy 2 eggs of a whole dozen...The eggs in my town are over $4 a dozen . Thats over $3 for 10 eggs..Now days you can't put a price on what it would cost...Prices go up at our Walmart everyday. I understand what she is saying but it's not that cheap in most towns.. Bread is $2.76 a loaf ....just saying ..
@@renah2509 I totally understand. The groceries are that high here too and Walmart is one of the lower price places I shop. Kroger's is even higher on most things but closer to home.
Ii can sorry of understand what she's doing by giving the price of just two eggs but then again we're paying for the whole dozen.
@@renah2509 isn't just crazy! I don't think WalMart needs to raise their prices, at least not by much. They have the highest buying power in the world. And for us Gluten-Free folks, our bread is around $7/loaf with only about 12 slices. I know their is a G-F Texas Toast, but not sure what it costs.
Enjoy your day & happy baking!
Prices are obviously different everywhere. Kindness is free. ❤️
You must've edited out the part where you added flour to the sausage (before adding the milk). The container was there, but if someone just added milk, it would never become a thickened gravy! I live in the South, and we love our sausage gravy and biscuits--I didn't realize it was popular in Utah! All the casseroles look great.
Whoops!!
Good Sunday morning Six Sisters. What's for dinner tonight? 😊😊
Good morning!!
@@SixSistersStuff I'll bet whatever you're fixing for dinner is excellent. We're going with something simple for lunch - albacore tuna sandwiches on toast with chopped, onions, green peppers and celery (maybe a little sweet pickle relish - and of course mayo. Anyway, have a great weekend and a great week and of course Thanks for sharing all your great recipes.
What size pan did you use for the pizza casserole?
Thx for sharing this. Would love to see more videos like this. My wife and I went grocery shopping this weekend and were shocked that we spent over $300 on food and it seemed like we barely got essentials. Bidenomics has made it so difficult for middle income families to keep up with rising costs. Having some cheap meals really helps. Can’t wait to try these.
I am so happy this video was helpful to you!! Food can be so expensive!!
I love these recipes....... though in Canada, I would have to call these $19.99 meals lol Obviously not your fault. Thanks for sharing!!
Eggs are 4 bux by me too.
Any low carb ideas?
Where does the pan at 5:41 comes from?
Yummy! More yumminess to try!
Yes yes yes!!
I would love to use my instant pot more, but I don’t know the times that I have to set it for the food I’m cooking.
Check out our Instant Pot 101 video!
Could these be freezer meals?
man i need to move to where you live...those same exact biscuits at my walmart are $1.48
Quick question, for the first recipe you initially said one stick of butter but when you were putting it together you said 8 ounce,. 8 ouces is 2 stick of butter.... So is it 1 or 2 sticks.... 8 table spoon or 8 ounces? I want to make this next weekend for a couple of guests. Thanks so much.
Whoops!! I meant 8 tbsp
This would be about $15 in Hawaii now. $8 eggs $5 1/2 gal milk 😢 but it looks worth it
How much flour to add to gravy?
Did you add flour to the milk for the biscuit casserole?
Yes
Great recipes, but the cost really depends on where you live and if the ingredients are on reduced sale.
No way!
You are correct
No thickening in the gravy? Flour was right there but you didn’t use it in the demo. More work than convenience with the B&G casserole. Good luck with your spice line I’m looking forward to trying a couple of them.
I have to laugh at the $5 price for the recipe. It's really funny because eggs in our area is $4.69/dozen. The whole thing is getting ridiculous with prices raising on every thing . Love your channel and your recipes.
Yes!!! Ours are now close to $7 a dozen!!!!!
U didn't show the flour for the gravy. The milk won't thicken without the flour
I want to tell you.... I got my FIRST "burn notice" on my instant pot!!!! I THOUGHT I put enough water in it, but I guess I didn't. I put 2 cups of rice in it, then my chicken on top. I thought I put enough water in it, because it covered the chicken. Not a good thing. I should have added extra water. Lesson learned!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
That sounds delicious. I checked the recipe and you skipped the flour. Oops I know it needs flour but inexperienced cooks might just watch the video and wonder why their gravy is so thin. I don’t mean to be critical but I wondered if you realized that you skipped the flour.
Am I missing the part where you add flour to the biscuits and gravy?! I’ve watched over and over and I see the flour is beside you but no mention of it. When I made it, it was all liquid and meat, it was not thick like flour would have made it.
Eggs for 1.98?? Where I live the cheapest eggs are $4.29!!
Prices vary depending where you live!
I need recipes which provide the necessary dish capacities. Using a typical 9x13 dish (i.e., 2.5 quarts) will usually provide enough space for most casserole recipes but will a recipe fill it 1/2 of the way? 2/3? 3/4? all the way? I need recipes with a beginning volume (i.e., capacity) of 6 cups, to fit in my 6-cup dish which fits into my counter top oven, In that you prepared the recipes, it is a shame that, at that time, you did not measure the pre-cooked volume in your pan. That would have been so helpful in that I would know how I needed to adjust the various recipes in order to get the 6 cups I need. Unfortunately you did not do that and, consequently, I cannot take the time to consider any of your recipes.
I'm really disappointed you put monosodium glutamate in your spices. I know it's a personal choice but it's very toxic. I personally get migraines from it. All I'm saying is that there are better choices but I wish you the best success anyway.
I agree. I have to avoid MSG due to crippling migraines. It’s a huge trigger. Also the price is just TOO MUCH. I can find cleaner ingredient spices or combine my own for a fraction of that.
If you didn’t have anything nice to say then you shouldn’t have said anything at all
@@natalieeubank4533 it was simply an observation, and an important one in my experience with that chemical, which I stated in a respectful manner. Input from consumers is valued by most sellers.
I can't Have Monosodium.Glutamate either, although I really want to order and Try I' just don't know.
Oh butter is not a $1.00 either. Its $6.99
She’s quoting the price for the amount used, not whole package. It’s around 3.65 lb. where I am.
infomercial
Move along, I had one ad, ads are where she makes her money if it isn’t worth it to you then move along
where r u getting bread for $1??
Possibly Aldi. The Great Value (Walmart) bread is $1.10.
Where are your eggs $1.98? Were paying close to $3.50 a dozen at both Aldi and Walmart.
Prices vary for everyone!
Now, make them with premium ingredients!!! Going to guess they taste better, but not that much better. And would only double the price.
Not everyone can do double the price in this economy we have to work with what we’ve got and can afford!!
@@natalieeubank4533 exactly,,,my point with saying it won't taste twice as good at twice the cost...:)
Ma'am on yr $5.00 meals here . I just want to clean up this mess that all these people are throwing out here on me. I was just pointing out how high food has gone up . Just giving my opinion on how high groceries is period not meaning nothing to you personally put they are being rude to me thinking I'm being rude to you I'm not. Forgive me if you take it that way too. 🙏 Just giving my opinion on how high groceries is .
I’m in Ohio and eggs are no longer $1.98. I just paid $4.98 for eggs☹️
Unfortunately just 2 months later you cant even buy the eggs for $5
I’m no mathematician but none of these recipes are $5 based on prices in my state and most importantly, you’re not including the cost of your “special seasonings”
You are right. Every state is a little different. These were from my Walmart in my area in September. Your recipes might be a dollar or two more- but my goal is to help you find recipes that are a little cheaper. Walmart and Aldi are your best bet to find cheap prices. And you are right, we didn’t add in the cost of the new spices. I’m sorry about that. I usually don’t count seasonings into my prices because I can make a lot of recipes from them. I used about $0.25 cents worth of seasoning. Hope this helps.
Not sure where you get your eggs…. We are now paying $3.89 a dozen
Eggs in 2022 $5
Wholly guacamole $14 for a 9 oz spice? Too much for my cheap ass.
MSG too?
Way too much 😔
I dont think anything is $5 any more. You cant buy eggs where I live for $3.00 a dozen, more like 4.50. I think you need to redu your amounts.
Every place is different. That’s the price I can get mine in Utah so that’s the price I go off of.
I only bother watching the first recipe, but your prices are from like 2005. Plus you didn't Include 5 other ingredients in the price. Very misleading video.
