This is a retrospective review focusing on Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and how it plays in the modern era, especially when stacked up to recent ND titles.
This is LITERALLY my favorite video game of all time. I got a ps3 for this game. I remember being 14 when I saw the new trailer for Uncharted 2 from E3 in 2009. I thought that it looked amazing and told myself that I needed to look up the first game. I fell in love immediately. I didn't have much money at 14 so I looked up how to repair broken ones and bid for one on eBay. I also bought replacement parts. I saved $200 doing that. This was the first game I played and beat it in one day. The graphics were the best I'd ever seen on a console at that time. It was insane, and the second one looked great as well. I've beaten this game well over 20 times now that I've lost count. I can even speedrun it in 38-42 minutes. It definitely had a profound effect on me. I don't think people give it as much credit as it deserves today, but I can understand how some of the mechanics are a little outdated compared to newer releases. The story is just so captivating.
I have awoken because I need to fast. It’s early and I’m tired. I was sipping on some good old tea when this video popped up on my recommended (presumably because I am trying to 100% all the Uncharted games atm with Drake’s Fortune done), and somehow I have found myself writing a comment in this instance - THIS very comment - and pondering the ever-baffling question: should I vent my absolute pissing frustration for having spilled tea all over my clothes? Should I BLAME YOU, dear sir, for amusing me to the point of no return whereby I could no longer hold the intense bubble of a laughter? No, I shall not. But I will subscribe. You’re awesome.
@@scopecreep_ All good. I have seen a glimpse of the channel and am very excited to check out the videos after I am done with all the Uncharted games as well as TLOU Part 2.
@@scopecreep_ Not just that, but I Mr wine in the cave when he bangs his forehead And the gameplay could be adapted into some sort of montages, While the important gameplay where you fight, bad guys or travel around can be turned into fight, scenes or iconic moments
This is a really good video and really well said, I agree with everything! I do wish games would go back to having a clear line between cinematics and gameplay because you CAN have a deep, cinematic story while also not having slow boring forced walking sections etc.
Yeah I agree I think a lot of my favorites would have been kind of ruined if they tried to integrate the story into the gameplay, stuff like MGS, Dark Souls or Arkham etc.
WIth this quality of a video I thought you'd be a highly subscribed creator but damn was I shocked, anyways keep up the great content G you earned a sy=ub.
@@William5000000 Well, to me, average is when it starts becoming intolerable. Because it feels like I’m wasting my time. Especially one that’s supposed to be this top rated PS3 exclusive just because it was one of the very few out.
The Massive Attack Trailer's a vibe and I think it's one of the more underrated aspects to the game's identity and marketing

@@scopecreep_ they ended up mixing Nadene with Navarro and then you get Braddock

@@scopecreep_ Okay as I said the movie does a lot of things right as well like the messages

Quick time events
Only 36 subs? Now that's a war crime
I’ll call the UN

Thank you king
This one was really funny 😂 and hell yeah Imma play some Crash
Thank u Gio and good luck that game is lowkey the hardest part of uncharted 4 haha
avocado 😂 keep up the good work !)
Appreciate it!
I actually liked 1 and loving 2 right now lol
yeah I was really surprised how much I enjoyed 1. Everyone seems to have written it off as the worst one
To 100% the game you gotta beat it on Brutal lmao
Yeah you’re right but I think the brutal and some other stuff have a separate trophy list so you can still get the platinum lol
@@scopecreep_ That's true, but that's not 100% then :P
You’re not wrong
At least as far as the Nathan Drake collection trophy list is concerned lol
I got the Platinum ,the Separate trophy list is sometimes optional
Micro transaction enjoyer 🤣
While it’s incredibly janky and dated I still thought the difficulty was fun
Uncharted 1 is a hell of a mediocre experience. Let’s see where this video goes . . .
@@William5000000 it’s not “bad”. Just extremely generic & tedious. It literally has no memorable set piece either.

Same. But when the monsters came.... that was a bit suprising. But the game is still mid in my opinion.
@@CLawManGameplaychannell it was. But also way too little, way too late. It served as a nice little distraction but didn’t add much gameplay wise
Avocado and gaybirel rome are really forgetable
I actually forgot gaybriel’s name since posting this video
