I love that Garmin gives us so much control to literally do anything we want on these watches. Most people have no idea how powerful these devices actually are.
I just bought my first Garmin Watch, a Fenix 7 Pro and this video was probably the most insightful video I've seen on setting up different aspects of the watch. Thanks!
This is a great in-depth introductory video. I hope Garmin will consider producing something similar when major firmware updates are released, letting users get an overview of the changes.

Great Video!! I went from several Apple watches to the Garmin. Epic pro 2 sapphire edition!! Almost 7 months! Learning something new all the time. Like around 9:27 in your video. Great info! Use the motocross, e-bike and overland a lot. Now can get info I want.. just wish you could start and stop sleep mode manually. Instead of time. Don’t really have sleep schedule. So when up past bed time you set. Have to keep turning off sleep mode so I can use the watch.

I've been struggling with my Tatix Pro for a couple of weeks and this video has REALLY helped me get the feel for the basics of my watch. Excellent! Thank you!
@@darriusholt Absolutely love it. Choose the 51mm version and it doesn't feel oversized. I have the display set to always on and with 30-60 min activities per day, I easily get 7-9 days of battery. Great video with some nice tips. I use an instinct 2x as my all day and sports watch and love it. Great watch, highly customizable, super durable like gshock, full of features, great for gym, running and outdoors. Love it

Hello, May I ask about start stop button, on my epix pro gen 2 42mm watch this button reminds me of old fashioned watch with wind mechanism, does it function in that way or it simply rotates ? Thanks in advance
Main thing that needs work is the music player app/music shortcuts. Changing playlist during a run is incredibly shit and clunky. Shortcut keys do different things at different times for no reason
The only thing I'm not happy with is that the screen in this video has way more contrast than my brand new Fenix 7 pro Solar Sapphire. Why is this one SO red? Mine is almost pink.
Thank you for your question. The device used in the video is the Epix Pro. It has an AMOLED display, which is more brilliant than the MIP display in the fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar.
They must of had a recent fix on Garmin watches cause when I first bought the fenix 6x pro I had to connect it to a computer before you could use it and not you just turn on the watch and connect to phone and it’s done
Just purchased the Fenix 7 Pro sapphire, and was underwhelmed with the box. For a nearly $1k watch, the box is rather cheap. The Fenix 6 still came with a basic box, but a much more subsantial one. Honestly, the Fenix 7 Pro box is worse than some I've seen from $50 Walmart watches.
@@jamestucker4800When you expect less you'll get less. It's cheap. As the owner of many high end products and cheap products alike, the Garmin 7 wins the crappy unboxing award. Have you never been excited to unbox a nice product that you've paid your hard-earned money for? I don't expect the packaging of an Omega Seamaster 300, but I expect them to care. When 1960's razors came in nicer boxes than today's 1k sports watches we've lost something along the way. Can you not see the bigger picture? It's really about more than the box.
$800 watch and can't even get a brick for the charger. Was super unimpressed opening my watch and realizing I don't have a way to charge it. I don't have any USB-C charges, just the traditional USB charger.
I'd like to know when you'll sell nylon "heathered" or not - bands that aren't about 130 dollars overpriced? will that ever happen? your silicone bands destroy my wrist. I can wear nearly any other brand of silicone strap without issue - I don't know where you source it, but for my skin it's a no go - I cannot justify spending 150 dollars on a nylon strap that couldn't have possibly cost more than 10 to produce.
The watch faces are horrible. Cartoonish backgrounds? For such an important launch for Garmin the utter lack of professionally designed watch faces options reflects poorly on the brand and future path.

Garmin has the worst and most user unfriendly software I have ever seen in any of the smartwatches I used in the market. It is confusing and often does not work at all. I have a garmin epix (gen 2), carbon gray dlc titanium with black band, premium active and I will send it back for a refund.

Are you paying for the box or a watch? If the former, then I'd be happy to sell you a $100 box
@@jamestucker4800I don't understand why someone would complain about the box. Ridiculous.
Strange complaint man. You are buying the watch not the box
@@vasmav When you buy a luxury product do you not expect everything about it to be luxury? Standards have apparently fallen.
$800 watch and can't even get a brick for the charger. Was super unimpressed opening my watch and realizing I don't have a way to charge it. I don't have any USB-C charges, just the traditional USB charger.
Case you're curious, a $2,000 descent mk3i also doesn't come with a brick to actually use the cable

You had to use the Epix bc Fenix screen is shit
Bought a new fenix 7x pro 2 weeks ago. Its my first garmin. Its also my last garmin.
What a piece of absolute junk.
Also dont try and reach out to garmin support outside the US. You’ll just get a big fat FU.
Youre hilarious
Awww. Fatso also wanna be cute and relevant. You’re adorable.
I have the same watch and I'm very impressed with it. Why do you think it's "absolute junk"?
Sleep algorithms are not accurate and the heart rate sensor is also an exaggeratedly expensive watch
For me the sleep algorithm is exactly spot on, as in - to the minute accuracy. And the heart rate is also completely accurate for me.
For me, my measured sleep patterns line up to about minute accuracy to real life.
when u start using garmin you will jndetstand it is only garbage. wothout intrnet and mobile phone even can not adjust date and time imaagine outdoor watch not working wo mobile. all the time teouble
Garmin watches are overpriced
Way overpriced. $800-$1200 for a smartwatch is ridiculous. I will never buy new.
There are several “smart” watches at this price level, many of them with less features than Garmin’s.
I agree they are not cheap but they are the best in this category by far.
@@Uns_Maps_8not the heart sensor
@@lsfire3489 you think so?
@@Uns_Maps_8 check out the quantified scientist he has tested the heart rate sensor of garmin watches to be mediocre compared with the best in situations of rapid heart rate change such as running and biking look about midway through his video on the heart rate sensors of rpix pro and fenix 7 pro
Garmin has the worst and most user unfriendly software I have ever seen in any of the smartwatches I used in the market. It is confusing and often does not work at all. I have a garmin epix (gen 2), carbon gray dlc titanium with black band, premium active and I will send it back for a refund. It will not find my Telstra WiFi 5G broadband connection my other WiFi items including other brands find with ease. Garmin, this is a useless piece of product that is not only overpriced but also user unfriendly. Do not purchase such an outdated unsmart-watch.
Hello :) I have fenix 7X pro. Do this device have drive mode. I want to track my car driving details. Thank you :)
