  • Now that we've inspected the car, it's time to make an initial parts order and start working on the car. First priorities are fuel system, clutch cylinders, and the cooling system.

Appreciate this video. I work on a lot of Japanese cars. And I just recently acquired a 65 122s Amazon and love old vehicles. This is my first full restoration of an antique car

Good summary. Don't hesitate to document a little bit longer some phases. Work on the carburators seem a good focal point :)

Shame you threw out the org beautifull glass bowled pump, and wasted money on a cheap aftermarket pump.

Rest assured, we definitely didn’t toss the glass bowl fuel pump! Our original plan was to rebuild it, but we had trouble finding a rebuild kit. The replacement pump is a temporary solution until we can get the original one in good working order

@@treasurestateadventures1432 Good to hear, those things are so nice to see in action.
If the diaphragm is hard just remove all the screws around it, and soak the whole unit in gasoline for a week - then everything gets nice & soft again.
If its cracked new ones is available. Just seach for AC fuelpump repair kits.

Treasure State Adventures the rebuild kit you are looking for will be for the PV444 part number 276223. You need a kit with one or two thin red rubber seals that looks like a flat washer. I’ve only found these through Skandix and CVI in Europe. Other AC rebuild kits don’t include this seal.
