😂 Lol Stryper? No thanks !!!
SECOND FAVE BAND .GOT VHS
@@Marshall-o2jShows how stupid you are ..
Striper SUCKS!
This is what a rock band was suppose to look like having fun providing great music
liar
hey penny, this is why i quit going to concerts! cause bands WONT act this way.
think they're not havin the time of their lives? livin the dream baby, livin the dream
And they stayed the hell off drugs.🤙🏻
I was there... it was bad ass ... in the middle 4th Row Kemper Area.
one of the most underrated bands ever.
Yes
And 1 of the Best Band ever!
Absolutely
Is true...
I never thought they were underrated....they were very popular back in the day
Well it's official. These guys are the soundtrack of my life. Seen this show live back in the day. I'm a teenager again every time I see this video.
Yup 80s best for music
I listened to ALL their stuff. Pro level musician and made my living doing that (still poor lol), but these guys Watson & Gillis were so incredible for their time. Playing some of these covers note for note was no easy task. The songs were great, the guitar playing though was so much better than they were getting credit for back in the day. Same here though, every time I listen to this it takes me way back. It's like a time machine. For a while in my Camaro I had ALL their tapes and friends would even get sick of hearing it over and over through my Night Ranger phase lmao!
As I'm listening all the lyrics come back to me, even the notation of the solos, it's amazing, like it was last week!
~JSV
I'm 57, still remember the genie lamp entrance lol
I remember seeing them at Maryland University, when sister Christian came out, it was in a gym called Ritchie coliseum, and I walked right up to the front and shook Brad gillis and jack blades hand while they were jamming.
Saw this tour at the Ohio State Fair!
No other singer has more fun than Jack Blades...the guy never stops. Dude burns more calories in 6 songs than I do in 6 weeks... :p
Well said!!!! Definitely!!! Spot on!!!!
So true, they are awesome live
1 of THE BEST! Concert of all Time! 👋👍👋
@@fedelitojoven953 Absolutely. Really nice guys as well. Met them at the Santa fe hotel lime 13 years ago when they played there. Brad let me use the phone in his room and gave me some picks and gave me an autograph and got me Jack Blades extra tickets to the show. It was an awesome night.
Not sure why he has a bass guitar. He barely plays it 😀
Kelly Keagy, great drummer WHILE SINGING LEAD, amazing.
Don’t forget his keyboard/piano playing.
It's official..one of the best bands ever
Their harmonies are spot on. No auto tune, no backing track. And they put on a show. They gave the audience their money's worth.
Brad Gillis is a f’n national treasure on guitar
why?
so is Jeff Watson . There combo was amazing . NR has never been the same without the Jeff . Brad is one of the best all time but NR has become kinda lame and plays like 5 covers now .
@@jillsteve1930 you’re right
@@clmco36 Because he is that fuckjng great on the guitar. That’s why.
Yep but don't sleep on Jeff Watson... he's bad ass and the two of them absolutely killed it
Gillis and Watson great shredding duo.
Yep! The best. I have a list of several great guitar duos. And Watson / Gillis is way up there on my list. I loved how these guys played together, and complimented each other. Jeff Watson is my favorite, and one of my all-time fave guitarists. Period. I love his style. And to me, he and Kelly were the heart and soul of NR. Jack and Brad right there though. What a Band!
Watson & Gillis possibly the best guitar duo ever!
I was 22 back in 1985. What an amazing time to be young. Unless you experienced it you'll never know.
I was 15 what a time to be a teen. Definitely a different time if you know you know
I was 25 and yes it was happy Thanksgiving from a bay area Rocker
@@rayfabris2512 Happy Thanksgiving, rock on!!!
I miss the Gillis/Watson axe attack! Brad's whammy technique and Jeff's tapping mastery made them quite formidable compared to their peers back then.
I love watching these guys play live more than any other band out there. I love their crazy antics, the classic cheesy moves like the guitar neck swings at each other, and the raw energy that each member gives off in every note they play. It's magical, motivating, and leaves me in the best mood every time I hear it! (And I have been listening to this live version since 1985.) Love you guys!
I never really got into these guys I was 20 and enjoyed heavier rock. No denying they are talented musicians especially the guitarist that filled in for Ozzy when Randy Rhodes passed away he was amazing!
@@adamolddude4495the incredible Brad Gillis! Rock on dude.
Jack Blades is quite the showman! You can tell he really loves he does.
I met them a bunch of times, including this tour, and they were and still are one of the most underrated bands of the last 40 years, and 100% cool motherfuckers. Gillis Rules.
@ Supersonic Key Lime Pie - After all the rancor Brad went through with Ozzie, I was glad that Brad had the success and exposure he did with this and his other projects.....
That's cool I babysat his kids in the mid 80's🤘
Brad on the short list of best live performers I've ever seen. Every aspiring live guitarist should watch video of him. And try to emulate his tone.
Ditto
I'd give anything to be back in 1985 again...
Watson and Gillis. One of the best duos ever!
I'm from Russia and a big fan of Van Halen and I've always been amazed at how many amazing bands there are in the USA!!!!All the musicians are energetic, professional and play incredible music, I learned Night Ranger in the 90s and this is one of my favorite bands! I think that she plays at the level of the best American bands and it's a pity that few people know about her.
biblical. second outpouring of the Holy spirit was the music of the 80s the authentic ones, omit the posers and fakes
they were well known and did very well --- they were considered a pop-metal band ---- they chose a more wholesome image ---- it worked out well enought but had they been heavier and just as good they could have possibly gone a lot higher. The talent level and creativity was way above some bands that made it bigger ---
Я так не могу к сожалению шпрехать..ваше офигенный Бэнд, как и Survivor, Loverboy, Van Hagar!❤😊🎉 Хочу туда в 85. Damn Yankees не особо.. Канзас 82, 83 попса но люблю! 😊
Had no idea the drummer did a lot of the vocals…dude is crushing it! 👍
He is the lead singer I think
So many great songs oh the forgotten ones ..tks to whom that was
Two underappreciate gems from 7 Wishes: the scorcher, “This Boy Needs to Rock” and one of their most creative deep tracks: “I Need a Woman”.👍🏼
Best times of my life back in the 80s motoring up and down the avenue and ending up on sentimental street with that special girl who could sing me away.
Eddie's Coming Out Tonight is so badass. It shows how great of a band they are
13 years old and I was mesmerized watching this and recorded it on VCR in the 80s I would wear that tape out over the years
Holy shit, "Eddie's Coming Out Tonight" just melts your face off!
I so didn't give Night Ranger a chance back in the day, but I am really enjoying what I missed catching up now!
Sing me away to 1985!
Woah!🤯 This is what a live show should be!!! So damn entertaining! I miss these days.... someone please invent a damn time machine, so I can see this show in person!! 🙏🙏🙏
Fun Fact: My cousin was an exotic dancer at a club near Irving Meadows when a rep for the band came to her “office” and asked if she would perform a little dance in exchange for 6 tickets and backstage passes to the show. She said yes and that’s her dancing behind the screen before “I Need a Woman”
Saw this tour in 1985 in Rochester, NY. I was 12 then. Starship opened.
I saw them in Worchester, MA on this same tour! Great concert!
These guys loved each other.. unlike other bands..this is what made them great.
My first concert ever was the Midnight Madness tour I was 15. One of the greatest bands ever! And Kelly is one hell of a singer!!!
I REMEMBER 14 but the flag. ROCKING AMERICA
@@kentkearney6623 AND DRUMMER!! Very underrated, as well as Gillis and especially Jeff Watson! Rock on!
drummer is amazing, love his sincopation playing, the guitar player with the flying guitars is a monster player too.
Yeah. And he is a hell of a great singer also !
Kelly Keagy came and sat in with our band in Vegas, great singer, great AND LOUD drummer! And super nice guy too!
Seen this tour Halloween night 1985 in KC. Still one of my to concerts of all times.
A band I really wanted to see live.
Did last year and did not disappoint. Granted no Jeff Watson or Fitz but still one of my bucket list concerts. Again, awesome...bucket list enough said
I remember renting this from Blockbuster in the 80's, awesome.
Same, good times!
@@allanr6132definitely
I saw them on this tour in Hawaii....they sound as good if not better live as they do on
their albums! Seen them twice since and they still rock.... Love Night Ranger!! ❤️🇺🇸
One of my favorite bands growing up in the 80's. I was a junior in high school during this tour. So many memories. What a time to be alive. My first love.... she could Sing me Away! Oh to go back to that magical time. Thank you NR!
Me too Bro! Graduated in '88. So this was '85 I think. Just finishing up Jr High School, and heading to HS for my last 3 years. I always loved NR - sine their beginning. So musical. And monster players.
This band on this tour was the first concert I saw as a kid. They put on an awesome show. I saw them two other times years later. Same energy, same good performance. Night Ranger Rocks
Most underrated supergroup ever.
And The Hits!..Still keep coming!!!!..this tour was their best!!!!..🤓🤓🤓
I didn't catch a show on this tour but saw them on the "Big Life" tour and it was awesome.
Fantastic concert! Night Ranger ruled the 1980s and they still rock today!
Saw them twice "Live!" Worth every penny and still listen to them to this day. Great cardio tunes! I don't think they made 1 song I didn't like!
Sweet baby Jesus!!!!! Awesome concert !
Such a great and vastly underrated and under appreciated band. Simply great band to see live back in the day.
Saw this concert the summer of '85 at the Indiana State Fair. Great show!
Sooo Underrated= Jeff and Brad .....
I was watching live yesterday and I was speechless. First of all their members are huge personalities in the field of Rock. What can I comment .. The songs, the lyrics, the solo's the stage presence? My jaw dropped to the floor. I always had the same feeling. On Brad's but mainly Jeff's soles I felt that his guitar was talking to me. Perfect!
Good old guitar driven rock and roll and Always a class act . These guys are still rocking in America . Long live Nightranger !
I wish every kid who was born after this era who likes rock music could see this performance.....I believe that would be an eye opener for them
Night Ranger is definitely one of not only the best bands, but one of the best live bands ever, and probably loved by both genders equally. And even humorous at times, mixed with their seriousness at all times.Awesome job guys !
Just saw them in concert last week. Still the best band EVER. They play and sound exactly the same. Jack has the same charisma and energy…simply amazing.
Hard rock perfection and brilliance
I saw this tour in Nov '85 at UIC Pavillion in Chicago. Starship opened the show. Night Ranger kicked my ass all the way to Timbuk Tu and back.
Starship opened for them in KC Halloween night in 85. Both put on incredible shows
Colorado state fair.. 1985 Night Ranger! I was in 7th grade and it was my first concert. What a trip.
Saw this concert in Rapid City, So. Dak. loved it. The best times of my life.
As a NR. Fan club member since 1985, I would say I still :Rock in America. 😄
Aaaahhhhh! My God! Those were the days and NightRanger was the band!!!! I had the opportunity to see this tour in concert, and what a concert it was!!!! 🎸
Today~ 2024 I watch this concert for stress relief!!! Its SO entertaining that my brain actually shuts off for a whole hour!! I watch it A LOT!!❤
If only concerts were still like this
They were always on point, everything was just right and good sound engineering every single time, vocals were incredible, you name it they delivered and still having fun and kicking it today! Rock Onward fellas. ♾️
Massive concert. What a band! Long live AOR
Just saw Night Ranger last night in Houston. One of my top 3 all time favorite bands and they still sound fantastic!!!! One of the best and most underrated bands ever. Much harder live than on their albums.
They have always been an awesome band indeed.
Saw them on this tour on a double bill with .38 Special in Greenville, SC. Awesome concert, great times!
Great great band so underrated
Still love Night Ranger. Saw them in concert once, with another band and they were amazing and stole the show.
I saw this tour. First time I ever saw Will Ferrell play drums. But seriously, best "hair band" of all time.
I remember seeing them in concert on this tour.
Biloxi MS
Well tell us some stories! We weren't even born yet
@@chabadoogi It was a great concert. I saw them on this tour and the previous one.
@@chabadoogi Cheap Trick opened which was great. This was the first time of 3 I have seen Cheap Trick as they seemed to open for everyone around this time. I remember Jeff Watson had a guitar with red lights embedded in the neck where the white dots normally are. It looked great in the dark. This album was there 3rd and weakest one but they played all the best cuts from the first 2. Great show. Great time. I saw them next 24 years later in 2009 opening for Journey in Pensacola Florida. They were just as awesome! If you get a chance to see them live don't hesitate.
Saw them open for sammy Hagar in the santa Barbara. Great show.
Awesome group of guys.
I always appreciated a durmer that can pound & smash away on the kit while singing lead vocals. A great singing voice helps too, it's a must IMHOP. Kelly Keagy has it all, and I appreciate his talent more and more year-in and year-out.
It doesn't come any better than this 🤘🎵🎸🎶
Greatest concert I'd ever seen.Brings back memories..
Jack Blades is the best That guy knows how to rock
Loved this a lot... had a total flashback of High School!
Great live band, saw them with ZZ Top at Mountain Air. Great show.
wow what a great sound this was my era I was 22 and living a adventurous life...
Just Wow! This show never ceases to blow me away and I’ve seen it hundreds of times since 1985 ish when I first taped if off of the MTV Saturday night concert series.
7 Wishes was an awesome concert. Saw them in Nashville, Tennessee. My favorite band.
Saw NR back in 2015 with Foreigner and Def Leppard. All 3 bands had great energy but I was really glad to have seen NR. I think I still have 7 Wishes on tape somewhere.
That tour was brought to San Juan of Puerto Rico, at that time I was 13 years old and I ran away with friends who were already older than me and I was missing for 2 days, there were no cell phones or anything imagine when I arrived from the concert, as were my parents. But it was worth it!
Great Album! Great show!
Saw them in Abilene, TX right after Rock In America came out. I was blown away by the playing ability of the band but especially Jeff Watson. Awesome concert.
Always put on a 100 percent show the band is awesome
I used to listen to NR back in the day but never saw them until around 4 years ago. Have seen them 3 times since. Have come to enjoy and appreciate their music more and more! They put on a great live show and try not to ever miss them when they are close.
These guys could all play and sing so much talent!!
One of the greatest rock bands ever.
I saw that tour. Loved it.
Brad is just such a bad ass! Anyone that can pick up an Ozzy tour as quick as he did, just has to be!😮
Wow nearly perfect. What a show.
Nearly??? What went wrong fella??? That was total perfection.
I seen them on this tour it was a great ROCKIN kick ass show
Sounds just like the recordings. Note perfect. A fun era of life where Night Ranger marked an epoch in music history. They don’t write ‘em like that anymore.
I wore out the VHS tape I recorded of this off MTV trying to teach myself all the drum parts. Respect.
Saw them at the Winnebago county fair in 86' . Great white opened. What an amazing night and concert by both bands.
These guys need to do one more reunion tour with all the originals.
Was at this show just like many great shows at the now dead, Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre. Can't wait for Night Ranger to come back to So Cal in 2023.
Listen, I've seen quite a few bands over the years and I wish I would have had the chance to see this tour back then. Freshman in high school at that time. The song 7 Wishes is one of my favorite of ALL TIME.
Outstanding Concert!!!!!! Thank you For The awsome footage!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Irvine Meadows I was at this show it was a memory I’ll never forget
I saw them a few years ago when they toured w the romantics and rick Springfield. They were without Watson. What a great summertime concert!!! Completely rocked!!!
Caught that tour as well. Rick Springfield puts on a great show, seen him many times but Night Ranger ruled the stage that night. The crowd wanted way more than the hour they played. Awesome stuff.
Saw these guys in a small-town college basketball dome (Wichita Falls, Tx) with a seating capacity of about 3500. But they played like they were in a major colosseum with the same energy in every song. Great band ! Still listening in May of 2023.
