@@celtics17banners84I remember going to a Warriors v Celtics game in 94 or 95 and seeing Barros in pregame warmups just drain 3 after 3 after 3, he dropped like a 40 piece that game, and even the shots they dont regularly show on tv, like after a foul whistle Dana was just automatically sniping everything that night. And i'm not even a Celtics fan, but witnessing him that night left a lifetime impression of Dana Barros being extremely underrated in my book.💯👌

Johnny, this video is a masterpiece and might be my favorite video of yours. These very memorable players that I am a big fan of since I am a bigger fan of the lesser celebrated players or supporting players of the NBA and its history. Moments like Sam Cassell being the first to do the "Big Balls Dance" and Tom Chambers life-altering dunk over Mark Jackson (who I am a big fan of, but I call it how I see it) were great to relive. Thanks man.

Very cool compilation, Jonny! One of the things I appreciate about your channel is how you cover so much of basketball history. I have been able to learn about underrated players, like Sidney Moncrief, Louie Dampier, Lafayette Lever (incredible how he had so many triple doubles and was such a good rebounder), and more via your channel (as well as learn more about players who I have heard of, like the late Len Bias and Mark Eaton). It's been great listening to this video.
I had some nostalgia too. I am a short guy and I remember admiring Mugsy Bogues as a kid. So, it was awesome to watch the segment you had about his career too :). It was cool seeing others on here too, like Nate Archibald, Sam Cassell, Tim Hardaway, and Baron Davis. I remember watching the latter three when I was in my teens and twenties. Good times - and again, it was awesome to learn more about them.
Keep up the good work. Have a great Thursday, Jonny!

4:11 - two very underrated attributes about Aguirre: 1) he willingly sacrificed his games and stats to help win a ring (something Dantley struggled with), 2) he willingly offered to come off the bench to allow a young Dennis Rodman to flourish which was key to winning the second championship.

Hey Jonny, I have an idea for another story fact check:
The game where Demar Derozan wore Jordan 10‘s instead of Kobe’s against the Lakers and Kobe took it personal. According to Demar, Toronto hit a go ahead bucket with a few seconds left. Kobe then said: „You know you left too much time on the clock, right?“ and proceeded to hit the game winner while talking trash to Demar.
Would be interesting to see how this actually played out

Arenas isn't liked because he enjoys life, made his money, was legit as a scorer, but didn't get consumed by the NBA. He knew when it was over and called it quits, and is just out there having fun talking hoops and pissing people off. People should listen to him instead of selected clips posted by other UA-camrs.

Oscar led the league in assists 6 times, and that's why people call him a selfish stat-padder.
Robinson faced Hakeem in the playoffs once in their careers. Robinson was the 2nd best player in that series, but was outplayed by Hakeem pretty badly. Most people evaluate Robinson's entire career based on that one series. The skill cap between Robinson and Hakeem wasn't that wide for their careers.
Robinson is also probably the most humble superstar ever. He gave his center position to Duncan the first year Duncan entered the league. Robinson still put up significantly better numbers than Duncan, even though Robinson wasn't the first option anymore. Most people falsely say Duncan was the better player as a rookie.

Aguirre taking a smaller role in the middle of his prime is underrated. Because Dantley’s hesitancy to take a smaller role was holding the Pistons back, I think. They had bigs who would willingly pass-laimbeer, salley, Rodman-but the ball would get stuck with Dantley. The championship Pistons ran at least nine deep and Aguirre did not disturb that, and played efficiently as a high-talent low-ego piece. He was like a better Carmelo Anthony (more success as the hub) and then made the sacrifice to win.

Everything you said about James Worthy is EXACTLY why Dominique should be glad they didn’t draft him. He would have did everything Worthy did but receive faint praise. In Atlanta he became a legend. In LA he would only be known as the guy who dunked good.

The Warriors have a ton of under appreciated players. Rick Barry, Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin (to an extent), Joe Barry Carroll, Sleepy Floyd, Neil Johnston, and, who is in my opinion one of the most overlooked and unknown players of all time, Purvis
    Short.
