Why do we humans seem to misinterpret warning signs and anti-predator deterrents from animals so much. We go gaga over bright aposematic colors. We willingly eat spicy peppers and mint. And we find half the deadliest creatures cute. It's like we're Nature's rebellious teenager. Forever doing the opposite of what we're told to do.

Where I live, if I wanted a venomous snake, I’d just walk around in the bushes looking for holes. Those are rattlesnake dens, and the snakes you get are completely free! Unless you get bitten, that hospital bill would be expensive…and I’m 90 minutes away from the nearest competent hospital…
