The way this song just builds and builds and grinds is incredible
Your name tells me you appreciate great music when you hear it!
A great song that I think all of us can totally relate to my friends!!!!
Is right my friend 👍
"SHOUT" is an absolute banger. My favourite song from "Tears for Fears"
I remember when this came out and reading about the song. How both the singers were abused as kids and they met at a shouting therapy session, hence the song title.
Love this band, and the lead singers. Of course, the favorite is "Everybody Wants To Rule The World".
i was a child... listening to this. i was the only one. none of my friends understood their music. so i've always held them as genius. Their music touched and inspired children... seeking guidance...
I love how their voices compliment each other so well.
Watching this took me back to my teenage years ...I had forgotten how blinking powerful this song truly was! It just gets stronger and stronger ... It has not aged a bit !!
Head over Heels is another great song by Tears for Fears.
Heck ya!
Yes, most definitely!!!
sowing the seeds of love
Yes
We used to roller-skate to this Tears for Fears song in the early 1990s! Roland Orzarbal and Curt Smith's voices really elevates the song's message in a POWERFUL way!!! This is my FAVORITEof their hit songs! 😊👏🏾🎤🎶🎸🥁🎹💯🛼
I was such an emo broody tween/teen listening to their album "The Hurting" lol They really helped me feel like I wasn't alone, thru some terrible times! Not to mention the music is amazeballs!
This one just makes me dance! Loved how much you guys loved it too! I'm talkin to YOU!! 😉♥️✌
The Hurting is one of my favourite albums x
Memories.... This band is the 80s personified and this is my fav song of theirs. The 2nd British invasion
So proud to have grown up in the 80s and be glued to MTV watching this video. They were one of the popular artist back in the day. The 80s was such a fun time.
Tears for Fears is awesome! "Head over heals" is my favorite song from them. ❤️
TFF “Head Over Heals”
“Woman In Chains”… loved your reactions 🙏
Head Over Heels punches me in the heart every damn time. Surprised I survived watching them perform it live.
It amazing to me how so many of these incredible songs from 30 and 40 yrs ago seem profectic of today times. Greatest music of my life was in the 80s and early 90s. Great reaction y'all. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This is the definition of a banger.
This song was released my senior year in high school I'll never forget listening to this!
I remember I was playing hacky sack also listening to the song Amadeus and possibly a little Herbie Hancock Rockit... oh and don't forget Kool & the Gang celebration at the senior prom
I forgot about hacky sak
Mad world brilliant single,
You NEED to hear Sowing the Seeds of Love!! One of their best!
Another powerful song from them is mother's talk. It's one of my favorites
Roland the primary singer on this one went to church on that guitar solo.
Prior to this song most folks in the US just thought they were a synthesizer band.
Yes the guitar solo is very soulful and lifting.
The rock formation in the video is called Durdle Door and the other bay next door to it is Man o' War Bay. In Dorset, south coast of England. Had many family holidays there in the 70s.
Roland Orzabal has had a very difficult time over the past few years, but TFF are making new music again, and released a new single a few weeks ago.
I love to shout, scream, growl and let it all out!.... and have a crash on my drums 💙 I think everyone should have drums 💙🎶✊
Amazing band and song! I really love it..such a classic.
Jeez l get emo watching these songs from my young childhood, they were a HUGE band. You guys are such a Beautiful couple btw..lovely people.
This song is about primal scream therapy. The name of the group, Tears for Fears, also refers to primal scream therapy.
Good to see you got the Song, translates across time and the Atlantic.
Tears for Fears are good lots of memories growing up in the 80s ...Head over. Heels is another good one.
Great reaction. So good to see you both getting well into the groove with this classic British 80s track. I might be biased as I was a teen at this time, but this era of the mid-80s was so epic in the UK charts. There will never be a time like it for fantastic bands and music. Tears For Fears are one of those 80s acts whose back catalogue just seem better and better with the passage of time, like Nik Kershaw and Howard Jones too, and they're all still going strong and performing well too.
PLEASE do their hit 'Woman in chains', it has such a great message. Probably Roland's best vocal (the one with the curly hair) and duetting with fantastic guest vocalist Oleta Adams.
Great Song, Great Group, and Great Reaction allowing the song to flow and even a great accompanying video !!
This Group produced around 10 Wonderful singles including their most famous "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" but so many other hits like "Woman In Chains" "Advice For THe Young At Heart" and "Head over Heels" and in each case PLEASE watch the video as well. THey are superb :)
ENJOY...
A time when the lyrics have deep and powerful messages for the listeners....
I'm sad for anybody that missed the 1980's. Best decade ever.
Amazing to think, those little kids are now in their late 30s/early 40s.
“Head over heels”
This song sounds as good now as when it was released; and TFF are touring and releasing albums again. Great reaction Mel and Shawn.
Great reaction to a Great song. I have loved this song since I was a teenager.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Listen to their song 'The Working Hour', it's a MASTERPIECE!!
My favorite TFF song and I like pretty much everything they've done
@@clanmacleod59 For me too
An amazing song by an amazing group!
Tears for Fears Amazing(super powerful voices), & brings so many emotions.I listen to them often. Alot of their songs(to me) are very prophetic(then & know) If you listen to the symbolism: sell your soul, black & white(illum): we know what" they"(not TFF)are doing(bands literally selling their soul for fame)yes this is what they can do without(they just want pure music) Break the Man song also very powerful. Tears for Fears was ahead of their time, so many hits & videos were Pure ART. The drum bass is crazy amazing. I use to listen to Acdc back in the day(untill).
I forgot how much I liked this song. Thank you for doing this one.
I always felt this as a bad ass protest song.,," these are the things I could do without...c'mon!"
Love your instant reaction to this, and the 'call-to-arms' nature of the lyrics 👏👏👏
Love that song! I was about 20 when it came out. Love years for fears. Love you guys! Peace love and blessings on you!
Please. Please. Dear Lord. The Working Hour Live from Munich. 1984, I believe. Oh, please. Saw these guys in 2010 they were almost fifty. Stellar. Never forget it. Lovin you guys. You're for real.
Tears for Fears embodies all of the 80's
I love you two so much. During Covid you've been such a release for me. Love how you feel the music. You're brilliant x
Have been in love with this band since 1985. There are no bad TFF songs! Please do more!
A #1 hit in MANY countries!
"Woman in Chains" also a superb song of Tears for Fears.
What an awesome reaction! Awesome powerful anthemic song by TFF.
I've dreamed of that guitar solo forever!
It's timeless, it hits all the right notes
Marvin Gaye sang "makes me we wanna holler the way they do my life!" Tears For Fears felt it and said Shout! Also a nod to Arthur Janov's Primal Scream therapy.
Sowing the Seeds of Love, Head Over Heels and Woman in Chains are other big Tears for Fears songs.
Wonderfull reacción the best
this song is an 80' anthem
Do TFFs "Sowing the seeds of love" from the late 80s another great smash from them.
Definitely react to Tears for Fears - Head over heels.
One of so many blinders from this band. What a time to be alive to listen to such works.
The live version with the orchestra and choir is fucking lit.
This is probably my fav from this group.
Brilliant time to do Advice for the Young and Heart,
In the UK this was a massive hit 🎉❤ glad you enjoy 😉
Everybody wants to rule the world another great one
This IS my teen years!!
Probably my favorite song from the 80's. Thank you! ✌☝❤
If i'm correct the 2 main members of this band , Roland & Curt , both had similar rough childhoods. The band name & this song come from a type of therapy to help cope with those issues. "Shout" being a reference to a type of primal scream therapy that they both went through. This song or Everybody Wants To Rule The World , may be their biggest hit.
Dont forget "Head over heels". That is a fantastic song as well.
Not quite. "A lot of people think that 'Shout' is just another song about primal scream theory, continuing the themes of the first album. It is actually more concerned with political protest. It came out in 1984 when a lot of people were still worried about the aftermath of The Cold War and it was basically an encouragement to protest."
- Roland Orzabal
"It concerns protest inasmuch as it encourages people not to do things without actually questioning them. People act without thinking because that's just the way things go in society. So it's a general song, about the way the public accepts any old grief which is thrown at them."
- Curt Smith
This one of my best friends favorite songs. 💯
I'm in my 40s(so hate saying that) when I listen to Tears for Fears it takes me back to 6th grade like it was just yesterday. I was too young to truly appreciate the music but it still brought me that nostalgic feeling. A sort of safe euphoria. They were like a synth-wave band that used guitar and other real instruments instead of electronic music. Ahead of their time in some aspects and I still get an emotional feeling that I don't get from any other band when I hear it to this day.
What a killer album this was. Absolutely gorgeous, smart, and powerful.
Great reaction, guys! Smashed the LIKE :)
Banger all day…. 🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶✌️😎
Filmed at Durdle Door one of the most photographed places in the U.K. and about 10 miles down the road from me.
my favorite is the one with the guitar and earring, I like both of them. I just turned 30 in October 1991 baby here, thank god to my parents growing up with the 80’s, I absolutely love the 80’s. Please react to Skid Row song is called 18 and life
Lead singer has some deep sounding pipes dayum
Disturbed did a cover of this on their first album ... you should check it out!
Another couple to listen to are 'Madworld' and 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World'
People easily forget their great debut album "The Hurting" with songs like "Mad World", "Change" and "Pale Shelter"
All the way from UK I love you ❤😂🎉😊
Everybody wants to rule the world. Woman in chains. Sowing the seeds of love
☆LONG LIVE THE 80'S☆
Another great classic by Tears for Fears.👍🏻
You may never see this comment and you dont need to react to this but their best song , to me, is “The Working Hour”. Truly sublime and carries you away
Yes it’s an eargasm.
Ask 100 TFF fans and you will get a different Top 5 apart from Everybody etc and my favourite and one of my Top 10 of All Time ( Bought my first record in 1960 just the odd 61 years ago !) was "Advice For THe Young At Heart" which MUST be played with Oleta Adams singing and the video of THe Latino Wedding :)
Haha ya great song! I remember being a kid hearing that song and loving it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love your enthusiasm.
I don't watch or like reaction videos, but l came across this one looking for the song and just absolutely LOVE the way these two got into it.
Especially Mel's "WOOO!"s 😁👍
Classic music love it 👍
songs from the big chair must listen to 80s live!! tks for reaction
1985 summer song🌞
Yes this is a Hit. Like it more now than in the 80s.
That was Phil Collins drumming on the original track. Different drummer in the video. Phil produced this song for TFF
Now y’all have to do Disturbs version of this song
Loves I did that a long time ago! I freakin love y’all’s energy
"I'd really let them break your heart".
Classic! Lol

Shout now that's what I'm talking about! Thumbs up S&M 👍👍
Tears For Fears rule! Shout!
BRYAN FERRY "slave to love"
Head Over Heals is a very good song, BUT I’d recommend you react to the audio or lyrics video for the first time. You can check out the official vid at another time because it can be distracting.
Incredible group
I saw them in concert May 21, 2022 at Blossom Music Center, Cleveland, OH. Fantastic show!
@@beautifulsmile46 cool! I’m going next Sunday! I saw them over 40yrs
ago. I hope they do “Rivers Of Mercy” off their new record.
