Hello, hola! If you're new here, welcome and let me introduce ourselves a bit. We are a secular homeschooling family of 5 and I document everything on this channel, as well as cleaning, decluttering, parenting, vlogs, etc. Pretty much all of my passions☺️
We have been homeschooling since the beginning of our children's education.
I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Ramses was an RN for 8 years and is now a Psych DNP.
We are just two millennial parents trying to make it, guys!
We also live in Southern Arizona and prioritize health and balance in our lives, as well. Thank you for being here!

Can you talk more about an average week and average daily schedule? Specially for kindergarten. I feel like I'm not getting everything I need to do done with my kindergartener and like maybe we're spending too much time on some things? I'd love to see kind of what other home school schedules look like and maybe make some adjustments on our schedule. I'd love some advice 😅
I would definitely try to stick to a few main objectives each day. We do math and l.a. daily (4x per week, give or take) with my kindergartner. I focus on the lesson as long as she is actively paying attention. I strive for at least 1/2-1 lesson each time or more if she masters the concept or the review isn’t necessary. So there are times we are flying through lessons and other times we are taking our time going through ones they’re struggling with. Also, daily reading. Again, as long as she will let me (usually 20-30 min) haha she is playing quietly or coloring while I read as well. Hope this helps! I can definitely plan to film a video going into more detail though💕but at least commenting is a little faster😆

Our State mandates Reading, math, writing, science and social studies but it doesn't say how many times a week so i tried cramming everything 4 days a week and thats waay too much for him. So i was looking for more balance. I definitely think we could do reading and math the 4 days and maybe spreading everything else out more. Thank you!

curious, what curriculum are you using for science with your older kids? we are using Torchlight for the first year, and I'm unsure if I want to use their curriculum for science. it seems pretty robust.
