I'm a Dale Sr fan to this day. As great as it was to see him win Daytona in 98, his final win at 'Dega is my favorite of all. 18th to 1st in 4 laps, the man could do amazing things in a race car! R.I.P. Dale Sr. There'll never be another one like you and I'm not sure NASCAR could handle another one! Your fans truly miss you...almost as much as I'm sure that your family does!

Ridiculous coverage of it... but I was there, and all I say was when he opened it up there weren’t many around us that did stand up and put 3 in the air. I never got to see him race in person, but to finally see the REAL 3 on the track, just flat out awesome all I can say
Exactly. NBC should've stayed with the #3 car, especially after Junior even speculated Childress may run the car down the backstretch at top speed. The race lineup shown during that time could've waited. There was plenty of time to get both in.
Greatest of all time. Greatest partnership ever. As a huge dale Earnhardt fan, this truly made my day.. thanks Richard!!! As long as we have his and your memories his legacy will live on forever. Love Dale, love Richard love the memories
I became a fan of NASCAR in 1995 at the age of 7 Dale Sr was my favorite driver after his passing i started cheering for my other favorite all-time driver Dale JR
I was there for my first talladega race today, and this was probably my most memorable moment of NASCAR. Such a shame the race was postponed... wasn’t able to hang around to watch it on Monday fml
He dropped back and got a run going with Kenny Wallace, Gordon led... I wasn't a fan but didn't want wonder boy. Its amazing to watch! Earned my respect that day
I enjoy watching your video and I miss Dale Earnhardt Sr and the black number three and racing is not the same without Dale Earnhardt Sr was the best driver in my book.
Dale Earnhardt Sr was our hero and driver....the best of the best! We lost our Dale Sr on that fateful day and we have not watched the races since. Our Dale is racing in Heaven now and I will once again see him and my Sugar Bear and Fred and Cliff and Dale Sr! .
ARE YOU FEELING LUCKY PUNK dales car has a plate on it and isn’t as areo dynamic hp doesn’t matter. The only tracks it would do better at is a short track anything else it would get smoked cause how high the cars corner speeds are now they don’t have to lift. It might have more straightaway speed but overall no it would get destroyed.
C'mon NASCAR , travel over 600 miles to see this race and I'm sure there are many, many more that have done the same and we can't start the race any time earlier then 1? So now like the many that have traveled far will have to miss the race because the late start for the next day and NO consideration for your race die hard fans or what's LEFT OF THEM.
I was yelling at the TV that it should’ve been started an hour earlier, just give everyone a 24 hours notice ahead of time 👍🏻😄 Nascar needs to have a condensed schedule plan in place, most people save up the entire year to attend just ONE race. Then it gets postponed when it easily could’ve got stage 2 in before the rain? I’m all for letting it dry up and get back racing later in the day but absolutely not for postponing the event, i feel so bad for those who couldn’t stay
@@Diecastbuffet that's my point, they knew it was going to rain but god forbid for the sake of the TV schedule let's just start on time instead we could have made it to half way and at least seen a winner .
I was really looking forward to this and it was awesome, but the coverage was terrible. No in car camera or any good footage or audio of the car when he got on it. Once in a lifetime deal come and gone smh.
After disgracing him by letting his grandson run that number and even worse a black car SMH that number should of been retired like some sports teams do I understand there is a limited amount of numbers but in this circumstance the way he went out I think they should make a exception for this. 🏁♥️🏁 #3 Forever ‼️ ... Sure do miss him .
I'm a Gordon fan and hate that anything happened to him. #3 will always live on
If only NASCAR would go back to smaller cup cars like these but with better safety. These cars made for a lot better racing.
Smaller car in any categories is better.
Do a serious vintage series along side the cup series. Actually scrap that, old cars replacing the new cars 🤔
I would rather see to it that homologation is brought back, that's how it was in the beginning
@Maxwell Harris, I had to look up what that meant. Fans should be the governing body on what cars go.

Wish they would have shown him riping on that thing down the track RIP Dale.
I would have. who can stop him going 175mph on 2/3's of the track when the pace car is 200yards behind him? :P
Agreed. Such a build up but they'd rather talk to Chase Elliot when Richard is screaming down the back stretch!

I wish they would have shown the whole run still cool to see the three on a track Earnhardt fan forever
More exciting than the entire 2019 rules package
the 2019 package is only good at Daytona and Dega
Never thought I would see that sight in nascar again, other than on UA-cam replays. That Monte Carlo just looks amazing

Why not show the 200MPH pass?
i dont believe he did one or at least they didnt show it on soical media i dont even think that car could handle going 200 still
Nicky D he did it, they just didn’t show it live :///
Nicky D it definitely would handle 200 but the Gen 4 by itself went 185 max. Also he didn’t go all out he went probably 155 I was there
