Well, It's a show so obviously they want it to look real. There is lots of things that would catch your eyes and makes you think that it must have been staged, Scripted. But overall the show is entertaining so I don't think much about that.

In their defense, the average person is not so picky-or know what's good. I know I don't expect much from food where I am. It is all shit saved the ONE or two restaurants that then become so popular, that they start loosing quality. It's the cycle of restaurants. "Small and new owners: great food. Becomes popular for great food. Food becomes shit; restaurant looses customers..."
The good restaurants tend to be in small touristic places. You see them exploding with activity, have a clear view of what they are cooking. Good prices, big portions, the place to buy at!

i checked google, the hotel is still open but google told me they had some mixed feelings about gordons changes and "undid"/changed some of them. checking their homepage, you can see the lobby is not blue colored anymore for example. they kept their word tho, the bar closes at 10pm (tho they said its closed at midnight, so they close it even earlier now) also reviews are apparently mixed, but the fact the hotel is still open means they do a good job and are making profit. applause to them.
Well, maybe owners would be more fit to that, but the concept of a hotel is already there. You can’t just leave out or destroy the hotel, it’s better to just benefit from the place and space there already is, Gordon actually did that.

I feel ashamed in their stead. the "dudebro"/ "frat guy" mentality is just cringy as all hell 0.o during those first 20mins these guys feel so vapid, as if tapping their head would give an echo that lasts 2hours. pretty sure that Gordon is probably one of the few people with the right skills to actually break them down and rebuild something decent.
