Yes it is and it's even more delicious. But it is more harder preparing it than using pork meat. My husband cooks it like that, I don't know how he was able to take out that stinky smells of intestines.
The authentic Dinuguan has a lot of the intestines. Because when lechon is cooked the intestines and blood is used for Dinuguan. Fake Dinuguan only use pork belly.
There’s a lot of different version of how it’s been prepared depending on what region of the philippines your in. Northern part cooking is like a little bitter, central luzon version is a bit sour. The southern part verion is cooked with coconut milk.
There's a variety of this dish, for me the best one is from my native town of Cagayan de Oro. Metro manila variety of it is close but not close enough. Cagayan de Oro variety is my best pick.
Absolutely ;) Asian people are just not so pretentious, and call the things by their name.. Another good example: Sisig consists party of pork mask and other parts = 🤮 Absolutely EVERY bologna, wiener or similar sausage in western countries, also includes the same parts = 😍 Chicken Nuggets, or how some producers call it, "Pink Slime" out of absolutely every remains of chicken in the factory = 😍
I had duck blood soup in China. It was very tasty and very cheap. Never had pork blood though, although I did eat pig’s ears when they were served at my work cafeteria.
I personally love it, specially when it's very sour and no sweetness. There's nothing wrong with saying you don't like it, you know? You don't have to pretend.
I saute first the belly part or pork....till it comes oily and put the garlic, onion and small amount of ginger. And laurel and 3 pcs laurel leaves...before the pork blood stir very well with 2 jigger vinegar....and put it to the pork that has been already saute....let it cook and continous stirring....put 1 spoon of red sugar...black pepper, chilli green for spicy....and salt defends on ur taste...❤and also add a 1/2 glass of water...Let it boiled will stirring...now its all yours
the one the 3 people had seem to be a lighter version which i would like. Just so that people know the meat used for most hotdogs are basically the same parts used for dog and cat food
I prefer a dinuguan with vinegar than the one with ibâ. I dunno. I tasted ibâ before and it tastes kinda sour and a little bit bitter. Ohh! And a whole lot of finger chillies! I like it spicy!
Being from a country where blood sausage is a delicacy, I cant understand the reaction of those people at all. It is all in their mind, there is nothing wrong with this food. I like it, and I also eat Betamax. You have to season it a lot otherwise its bland, but thats the same as with the blood sausage
That is also one of the national dish from the phillipines.. it is most better if the part of a pork that you use is the pig face it's so amazing😊😊😊 that is my favorite before but when I go to jail for a year and read the bible.. sadly it's becomes to hard for me to eat dinuguan already. Because blood is unclean and the pig is one of the evil animal sign...
When i eat dinuguan i always thought why is it called blood when i was a kid i thought it was just a normal stew and they just called it dinuguan because whatever but j never knew it was actual blood.
Honestly I only started eating this when I was 12. It's hard to convince a kid (Or other adults) to try a dish made out of literal blood and guts. But for what it is it's DAMN DELICIOUS.

This is Filipino food only for Filipino. Doesn't matter if you like it or not . Every country or region have different climate different culture different taste bud. And not even all Filipino eat dinuguan
Of the few Filipinos who do not eat dinugguan, it is mostly because of their religious affiliations (Islam, Witness of Jehovah, Adventist) - and we respect their beliefs. Some Filipinos though, like nonFilipinos, were not introduced to dinugguan in their younger years, but nonetheless learned to love it once they tasted it. The food is not only for Filipinos, as as the video shows, even nonFilipinos love it. By the way, you might want to visit London to taste the English Blood Pudding. From what i learned, dinuguan can be cooked with pork intestines and other cuts but if you don't like those cuts, just use small cubed pork belly.
That's possible! But it is the entrails that gives the extra taste and texture. You can substitute them with the pork face also.
Yes it is and it's even more delicious. But it is more harder preparing it than using pork meat.

Best served with a plate of hot, steamed rice. Really good!
“It doesn’t taste like (raw) blood.” Obviously, because it’s cooked.
My favorite spicy, not too dry or saucy just right, and best it got paired with garlic rice.
Steamed rice cake dip it in a creamy dinuguan... The best😋

i miss eating dinuguan
This made me miss my lola's dinuguan. I still can't perfect it.
I haven't tried Black Pudding or Betamax (pork blood cube) yet.
I tried Dinuguan and Soondae (Korean blood sausage) last year and I like them.
"After they done eating, they gonna die in their sleep" Kids comments are the funniest 😂
oh god, im drooling so much..

Kapampangan has the best food in ph. Next is ilokano
ilokano diguan for me
Ilocano variety is the original dinuguan. It is a little bit sour due to the added vinegar.
Eat it hot and spicy...yummm!!!
I love the tamarind based dinuguan… any day of the year

Dinuguan is best served accompanied by rice and fish sauce as dippings 😋 Darn I missed this when my Moms cooks me this...
I like it better with puto but eating it white rice is yummy too
UK has pork blood sausage
maybe they like it also
Philippine also have betamax ( grilled pork blood )
Kids reactions and comments are the best 😂
Try serving that to kids who loves trick or treat .. or dracula fans tell them its type D 😂
Dinuguan, always be one of my favorite..
It's funny to see all these different reactions from Americans. Can't blame them it's not in there menu everyday
This is my favourite since its the thickest broth ever
I think using pig blood in food in western country is only unheard of in US but in some part of EU its already been using for a long time already.
Vampires will love dinuguan 🤣🤣🤣
But it has garlic 😆😆😆
best dinuguan consist of innards or just intestines,..
but there's a softer version of it,.try batchoy some put little amount of pork bl0od in it

Me i cook dinuguan w/out internal organ...i only used pork meat....
That's the way I like it too. I love it with puto. The salty, slightly sour, and sweet combo is great
nice nice
Putting ginger would make it more delicious
they should try dinuguan with pork intestines and other internal organs except liver and lungs. less fatty but a lot tastier.
If it's scary theres medium cooked beef with blood in the restaurant with the gravy and mash potato. Everybody eats.
