    From what i learned, dinuguan can be cooked with pork intestines and other cuts but if you don't like those cuts, just use small cubed pork belly.

    • @JoseMariadeManila-g3f
      @JoseMariadeManila-g3f Місяць тому

      That's possible! But it is the entrails that gives the extra taste and texture. You can substitute them with the pork face also.

    • @misterycortez5188
      @misterycortez5188 Місяць тому +1

      Yes it is and it's even more delicious. But it is more harder preparing it than using pork meat.
      My husband cooks it like that, I don't know how he was able to take out that stinky smells of intestines.

    • @eduardochavacano
      @eduardochavacano Місяць тому

      The authentic Dinuguan has a lot of the intestines. Because when lechon is cooked the intestines and blood is used for Dinuguan. Fake Dinuguan only use pork belly.

      @@misterycortez5188Intestines dont have a stinky smell and the process of cooking is the same.

    There’s a lot of different version of how it’s been prepared depending on what region of the philippines your in. Northern part cooking is like a little bitter, central luzon version is a bit sour. The southern part verion is cooked with coconut milk.

      Of the few Filipinos who do not eat dinugguan, it is mostly because of their religious affiliations (Islam, Witness of Jehovah, Adventist) - and we respect their beliefs. Some Filipinos though, like nonFilipinos, were not introduced to dinugguan in their younger years, but nonetheless learned to love it once they tasted it. The food is not only for Filipinos, as as the video shows, even nonFilipinos love it. By the way, you might want to visit London to taste the English Blood Pudding. I am sure, the Filipino dinugguans tastes much better! Whether dinugguan is ickey or yuckey, I only know it is tastey! 👍 Bon appetit!
