Such a beautiful soul. The kind of rock star I can appreciate. The world is an emptier place without him. Thank you, Tom for all you've given us as a man and musician.
Each extremely talented together they were Magical. Miss them all so much. Roys voice is beautiful! Toms my favorite always has been. Miss him terribly.
Other bands that lost a prominent member regrouped. If surviving members of the Heartbreakers and Traveling Wilburies would regroup, it would be a great reminder for us old timers and newer generations of talent that will never die.
Fantastic compilation and lovely interview. Such a shame the oundtrack is so out of sinc. I wonder if the production engineer could tweak it? But...thank you, and thank you a thousand fold to Tom Petty. RIP
Other bands have lost a prominent member and still regrouped. Heartbreakers can never be the same without Tom Petty. It would be nice if they and Traveling Wilbùries would try to regroup, give us old timers and newer generations a reminder of great talent that can never die.
He was clearly a big fan of the 12 string guitars I’ve never tried one but definitely need too, guess it has a thicker chorus sound, and after finding out his maxwell house coffee being the best coffee discovery I definitely need to try a 12 string
No...I don't think he was stoned at all. He was just damn tired from traveling and working...don't forget he was in Norway at the time and had been in Europe. Also, it was obvious, especially at the beginning, that he was trying hard to understand what the interviewer was saying with his Norwegian accent. Maybe you were stoned.
I think Tom Petty was just a mellow guy. Every interview I have ever listened to: he is thoughtful and grounded. So, I think that's just the way he was. I'm certain he did partake in MJ, through out his life. But I don't believe that accounts for his demeanor, here.
To quote another commenter, no offense meant, take Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, please bring Tom Petty back. You beautiful , brilliant stupid man, RIP.

I don't think Tom ever PLANNED ANYTHING - He was just what he was - GOD'S GIFT TO US.
You're so right about that!
Amen

Tom’s wearing a traditional Norwegian design shirt. Very respectful.

👍👍
And absolutely
Great collection of videos. Tom seems stoned during the interview.
I think perhaps he was listening very intently. Maybe he found it difficult to understand what the interviewer was saying.

So sad about Howie
17:30 - Very possibly peak Bob, shame there's not more of those shows in quality form recorded. The bootlegs don't give it credit.
good job, nrk
To quote another commenter that I read recently, take Justin Ɓieber and Taylor Swift (no disrespect intended) and please bring Tom Petty back.
Not a bad pick up band, I don't say. Sweet...
