I got an echo and detour in my gyropalooza box and I must say the echo just isn't it for me. I absolutely love the detour but have been inconsistent with the echo. Could be me and Detour for the win. It's a must try
I’d say you can get away with bagging both but also could bag one and get same shots but just take more manipulation on the echo. But I think the echo can do the shapes of detour. Definitely not the same like I thought they would be
Interesting. It feels more like a detour and it’s flight would be between a detour and hex, compared to hex’s I have that is lol. I’ve had one hex before that might be close but it was very seasoned. All the hex’s I’ve had since have flown a lot like a reactor. Interesting though, would have definitely thought it would have been closer to detour than hex just by feel in hand.
@@DaddyDelpDiscGolf That makes sense, the gyro technology will naturally make a disc a tick more overstable/fade quicker. So, if you remove the gyro rim from a disc, the disc should be a tick less stable
HOT TAKE: I think when the Detour comes out, if they offer it in Cosmic Neutron plastic, that it will fly identically to the Echo.
That’s possible. Be curious to see if that happens. You never know until you see stock runs and stuff so that’s very possible
Looks like the discmania origin. Which I love 🤌
I’ve felt an origin but not thrown it but from what I remember it is pretty similar in feel

I’d like to see the Detour compared to the TSA Mana since the Mana is also made by MVP and I believe the flight numbers are the same
Ohhh, I have one of those. I think from reviewing the mana awhile back that it was pretty similar actually
Wombat3 to me is very similar. Not in feel but flight
I can’t remember if I’ve ever thrown one of those. Should try it just for heck of it
I easily carry both with no real overlap. I may have a more stable Echo than normal though.

Do you also throw a hex? @PMantle
@@VarietyDiscGolf Yes
How’s the echo compare for you? I don’t currently bag an echo but have a really stable total eclipse hex that I haven’t thrown much
@@VarietyDiscGolf My Echo seems to be like a well worn Hex. Less turn than Detour with more finish.
Are you and Gavin Babcock the same???? Neither are the two disc's you're talking about
Wellllll, we have never been seen in the same room….
But also, did you watch the video
Detour definitely looked glidier
The Echo is supposed to be a Hex without the overmold

Yea, true. Might be the case
