JMFS no the whole point of the end of the movie is so u understand what he was doing he wanted to find someone who was literally unbreakable committing mass genocide on people to find that exact person
He's clearly a genius, which is likely the crux of his power(s). However, while not a superpower, Elijah is a tough SOB (despite his frailty). He's either in constant pain, or under the threat of. He's suffered dozens of breaks and been sick most of his life. He endures a brutal fall, just to confirm his theory about the guy in line, who David "felt" had a handgun with a black grip "like in the movies". The pep talk his mother gives him early in his life gives him the drive to continue, and he is rewarded by discovering David.
I think he has the ability of reality warping/improbability manifestation. Mr. Glass is the source of both Dunn's/The Beasts powers as when he was younger his mind accidently altered reality since his power comes from one predominant source: desire. Every time Mr. Glass desires something weather it be information or a certain outcome, his mind can slightly alter the present reality to make that desire a reality (Ex. He caused those accidents to happen but no one can identify or connect Glass to said incidents because he can change events allowing him to escape undetected. Dunn only figured out it was him because Glass 'allowed' him to see all the things he done). This is why they keep him sedated because as long as his mind is not focused he can't alter reality to play out the way he desires it to be.
If that was the case wouldn't he had fixed his disease condition of easily breakable bones. Even unintentionally there's no way he didn't have the "desire" as you say to not feel pain and be normal.
As interesting as reality manipulation may be I don't see him having it. Even if it is latent or he is totally unaware of it (which your theory says he is aware), it seems pretty harsh that he had to fall down a flight of concrete stairs and shatter his leg and arm just to confirm that the man he was following had a gun with a silver grip aka David's feeling was correct. Even Talisman, from the Justice Machine, whose power was Karma, didn't have to go to such extremes to get a good result. I think Elijah uses his incredible intellect to read people (their intentions not their minds), predict how certain verbal pressures will influence their behavior and manipulate them similar to Hannibal Lecter tormenting Miggs into swallowing his own tongue. He just sees further ahead than most and can take advantage of opportunities we aren't aware of yet.
@@malachiXX There are situations where intellect is really described as analysing all possible scenarios of events if a given action is taken and using the one that will give you the greatest benefit. Basically taking advantage of opportunities if you see how they are going to turn out in the future, being several moves ahead, which he was in unbreakable.
@@user-uv7hi4zu7c well I mean everyone knew all the heroes were going to meet up, no one knew split and unbreakable were I'm the same universe until the very end of split
Infinity War, and actually Glass as well, are not technically crossover's since these characters and events happen in the same universe. Crossover's are when two or more characters _cross over_ into another universe that is not their own.
@@srstriker6420 yep. Because when dealing with someone who's physically superhuman you need an extrodinary mind a superb skills in manipulation to Do engage with such an enemy.
In Unbreakable Elijah believed he was David's opposite, meaning he thought of himself as a Super Villain to David's Superhero. That in itself implies Elijah saw himself as a Super powered individual. Doesn't mean he controls peoples mind though, his super power is his intellect in my opinion.
But there are several super villains without super powers.. Lex Luthor and the Joker for instance. So just because Elijah saw himself as a super villain doesn't mean that he thought himself to have super powers.
@@00ghostcobra I'm replying to the opinion of the poster of the video and nothing else. But to be considered a Super Villain you have to do or have the ability to do something extraordinary. Lex's ability is his intellect. The Joker is a combination of his insanity, his ability to cause chaos, his intellect and his mastery of chemistry. The poster of the video thought Elijah had an ability to control minds. And he said Elijah never claimed to be a Super villain. My comment deals with the fact that Elijah didn't have to say he was one. His very search for his opposite, for someone Unbreakable proves that he saw himself as a Super Villain. And Like Lex, I believe Elijah's extraordinary ability is his intellect.
Being an "opposite" is undefined, as opposites don't exist outside of theory. It could mean he sees his powers as "opposite" of David's, but it could also mean that his lack of powers and vulnerability make him "opposite." Overall, it's a delusion.
@@bebopbountyhead Elijah says at the end to David, something like "Now that we know who you are, I know who I am" Again implications of him being the 'super villian' who uses intellect
I went to school with a guy who had a disorder that resulted in similarly weak bones. I don't remember what it was called but the way he described it was he had some rare form of diabetes where his bones would essentially get cavities just like your teeth, making them very weak and prone to breaking. Sadly he ended up dropping out because his condition got progressively worse and he was told he only had a few years left before he would end up bedridden and ultimately dying. I felt really bad for him. We were not friends or anything but he was a really nice guy and it's never good when good people are forced to deal with such horrible situations.
Yeah, maybe so. But, his theory does make some sense if you pay close attention to the movie(s). I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did have minor telepathy.
@The Marvelous One I had honestly forgotten that Audrey was confused about divulging all that personal information. It also seemed weird to me that Elijah wound up in her care of all people. Also, be mindful of the Biblical references. David was the great warrior who took down a giant. David Dunn brings down the Orange Man. Elijah was the prophet of Jehovah whose word held great influence over the Nation of Israel. In one instance, during a drought, he visits a woman on the verge of starvation and by word alone compels her to give him the last of her flour. What's truly interesting about this account is that the drought takes place outside of Israel. And the woman herself is not a servant of Elijah's god named Jehovah.
@@KeyIssues Having an exceedingly high interpersonal IQ would effectively make him a telepath, regardless of having no technical "super powers." I don't believe that Lex is an apt comparison, as Lex's interpersonal IQ is low, treating people as objects. Karnak is the closest character to Glass, although it should be noted that Glass doesn't have a direct analog, just a "closest-to."
I agree with you 100%. If you noticed that Mr. Glass always wore purple? Is that a hint as to his hidden powers, like Purple Man? I know the actor Samuel L. Jackson loves the color purple, because he asked for a purple lightsaber in the Star Wars movies and they let him have it, or rather cgi'ed it into the scenes where he was using his lightsaber. But I don't think that was the only reason he was wearing that color, M. Night Shyamalan, loves to throw in sneaky stuff in all of his movies to either hint at something or to throw off or mislead the viewers until the ending of the film, so in that case I think that you are correct in your assessment of Mr. Glass and his abilities.
Purple - Mentally strong/ Mastermind villain - worn by Elijah Price Orange - Physically strong villains - worn by the home invader and by Horde during Glass Green - Hero - worn by David Dunn
In Unbreakable, his mother mentions the two types of enemies: the ones that use their hands and the ones that use their minds so that could possibly tie into this theory.
If Mr. Glass's powers are supposed to mirror David's then I think he would be able to sense private information, not control minds. He would be able to see possible futures instead of vague intuitions about people's past actions. Mr. Glass knows when he's right, which is why he's so confident in every action that he takes even though there's always an element of chance and unpredictability. David Dunn's powers are all about physicality, protection, and the past; therefore Mr. Glass's powers would be about the mind, exploitation (offensive, manipulative, a sword or dagger rather than a shield), and the future. David's powers are also somewhat overlapped: super strength, super durability (bones, skin, and presumably other parts of his body as well), along with possible regenerative powers, a nearly invulnerable immune system, and mental powers strongly oriented towards threat detection (including the often overlooked instance(s) where he intuited the presence of weapons); not to mention a naturally protective, loyal, altruistic, and brave personality. I believe that if Mr. Glass truly equals and mirrors David, then he must have a comparable number of powers: superhuman intellect in all areas (just as David's physical abilities encompass multiple areas), an equally powerful will, the ability to retain more mental function then most while sedated (otherwise he never would have had the chance to sabotage his treatment in the first place, because they would have checked for cheeking on at least the first instance), and advanced weakness and future action prediction abilities in the form of an advanced and uncanny intuition, likely not requiring touch (once again, his powers are mental where David's are physical, plus I'm not sure he would have achieved physical contact with everyone he manipulated in the movies). Anyways, that's my take on it.
@@KeyIssues I'd like to make the argument that high end manipulation or subliminal technique could put thoughts in someones head. Hell, most developed militaries have units designated for this role as well as other unsavory things.
Yeah I think he probably has empathy. So people know there's two types of empathy one where you can sense the emotions of others and that's an empathic and then there's someone with empathy you has the ability to control other people.
I think a better theory for his super power would be that David can force a "look" into the past by touching and sensing (inside) but Elijah can do the same but force people to 'talk' about their past (outside). What make me think that is that both have the same weakness to water.
Love your Elijah's powers theory; when I re-watched the latest 'Glass' trailer, his ability to control others comes through loud and clear. And..he gets it from his strong-willed mother. One of the consistent themes in the Shyamalan universe is that superpowers are extensions of our natural and often ignored abilities.
My Theory: All the powers are linked to the mind. If you think about Split, Kevin’s beast personality had inhuman abilities and strength, despite his other personalities not exhibiting any sort of power. In unbreakable, david was able to lift more and more weight, despite each threshold being difficult. And when he was in the pool, his trauma from when he was a child left him mentally crippled. Just my Theory
I personally dont think Mr Glass has powers. If he did then that would kind of ruin it because his character is meant to be a mastermind, a lex luthor type. No powers. Just smart. David is meant to be superman. The beast ...doomsday or general zod.
Or it could be hollywood bullshit. I believe that the movie was made with the possibility of powers being questioned. Now the overrated split on the other hand was definitely a super villain movie. I don't look at them as sequels due to the vastly different styles and what not. @Shawn Burke
That or how david feels your deep secret while Glass is more of a empath he can make people comfortable around him. Making you more trusting of him without saying anything.

@@activehomebuyersllc9735 If you mean the "convince the other 23 personalities" then sure, we don't know anything, but it's clear from the trailer that Elijah used the lights to somehow bring out the Beast, presumably a feat the doctor lady didn't accomplish.

I think Elijah’s power is control as in he can control everyone’s ideas and thoughts even subconsciously like how David didn’t think he was super strong until meeting Elijah in the stadium as once they talked David tried to see how much he could strength have so Elijah can get people to think anything such as to Audrey he got her to think of him as being trustable
It is strange that the man at the bar told him specifically which floors at his old job were the most vulnerable in the event of a fire when Mr. Glass never even started their conversation about it. Like something part of that guy had to know that you don't give strangers that kind of information even if you think they are innocent and wouldn't hurt a fly. Maybe Mr. glass has that type of person that just makes you feel comfortable to tell him secrets and I've seen it before on TV with scenes of vulnerable or emotional people spilling their guts to someone who otherwise doesn't even care.
His mother mentioned the two types of villains to the David in the end of Unbreakable. The one who fights the hero with his strength (I.e. the Beast) and the "most dangerous" is the clever one who fights the hero with his intellect. Maybe he has some psychic powers since the psychiatrist mentioned that Kevin's personality changes with his biochemical changes in his body could be the key to unlock the full potential of the human brain. It seems pretty reasonable to say that Elijah did that already and uses it as a weapon
Based on Split, I have a theory that Elijah, due to his extremely high IQ, can forcefully convince himself to have different personalities (like the beast) and change his "powers" I think this may be a reveal towards the end of the new movie. What's key here is Elijah's goal.... In Unbreakable, his plan was to cause accidents to find an exceptional person... he does this to prove that he himself is indeed special, to console himself over his own disease, to be able to say "yes, i suffer from this disease, but this doesn't make me weaker than normal people, it makes me better than them, I'm special." And he achieves his goal by finding David Dunn and proving (to himself as well as others) that special people exist and then he claims to be one of them. I agree with you that Elijah seems to have the "power" to make people divulge personal secrets like David's wife and the man at the bar who gave him the information he needed to burn down a building and kill those inside. But the question remains, what is Eliah's New goal now that his previous goal (finding someone special to prove they exist and he is one of them) has been achieved. What's next? Well, since the beginning all of Elijah's actions have been centered around his disease and his loathing of his own fragility. He wanted to find a reason for being so fragile, he couldn't believe it was just a quirk of life or random chance that he was born with this disease. Now that he has done that what's next? Now I find it to be interesting that the only 2 other people known to have special abilities (like Elijah claims to) both have extreme durability and strength. Both are "on the opposite end of the spectrum" from Elijah. This points me to 2 possible goals Elijah has... . Option 1: He wants to learn more about how their powers work so he can duplicate them in himself and finally no longer be as fragile as glass. Option 2: He wants to find the person "on the opposite end of the spectrum" from the Beast, another highly intelligent but fragile Special person like him, his kindred spirit. Option 1 Hinges on Split being correct when they stated that their powers are based not on their bodies, but their minds. That they believe themselves to be strong, fast, unbreakable, etc and their body obeys their brains' commands. If that proves not to be the case, then I'd say Elijah's goal would be to find the Beast's "opposite" since Elijah himself is the opposite of David Dunn to see what powers this opposite has, and possibly help that opposite have a better life than Elijah did. Either that or they're going to give him some super-villainey plan like "traumatize everyone so everyone becomes super" And since the Beast think the traumatized are the pure ones, he'd probably want to help him achieve that goal, while slaughtering all the "tainted" people he finds along the way. Plus it's unlikely that Elijah can simply manipulate the Beast as the Beast isn't just a dumb animal, he's smart and cunning and has a certain set of ideals (such as not consuming the "pure" people) plus, the Beast could likely kill Elijah with one smack to the temple if the Beast felt his safety was at risk. P.S. Am i the only one who wants to see that girl from Split come back in Glass as a super hunter or super sharpshooter?
@@Hachiman-nf6zc I noticed that the girl almost never blinks, and she seems to be good at reading animals (like the beast) so i figured she could either be a super sharpshooter (cuz she never blinks and therefore probly sees everything) or a hunter (cuz she can read animals' intentions and would be adept at dealing with them). I should've been more clear to avoid confusion.
My theory is his powers are to instigate other people's powers. Both David and Kevin had their conditions manifest after the train crash. So the other disasters he's commited may have caused other people to gain powers. Let's say after the hotel fire, a bystander gains the ability to control fire.
It is kinda weird how that one guy just casually told him how to kill a building full of people. And how easily he was able to get into the train conducter's car. Idk about anyone else, but I usually get yelled at and physically threatened when I try to go near there
I dont think he can force someone to do something. I think it more as Like how you have a good friend. For him you seem more comfortable like a guy you can unload your thoughts on. I think its a sort of empathy.
I am not discounting he may have 'powers', but also consider characters like Dr. Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs where he is able to manipulate people to an incredible degree based on his incredible intellect and knowledge of human psychology. For example it was implied in the movie he convinced a cellmate to kill themselves after talking to them through the night as well as his ability to understand the motivations for why a person will/has done something to identify killer being tracked during the movie. (I apologize if someone already posted this in the comments and I missed it).
It's possible that he has a subtle ability to influence others and/or gain their trust. However, it's also possible that he has an enhanced ability to read people ... sensing their abilities and potential in much the same way that David Dunn can sense their sins (but not necessarily by touch).
Everyone already noticed that "The Beast" was shown in the movie more than once, right? Mr. Glass is somehow connected to people with powers. His very first comic, the sale at his gallery, and his explanation on identifying heroes and villains, all showed the beastman archetype.... Split.
I think it's a solid theory. However the evidence of the worker just blurting out information about a fire is not necessarily one I would use. IMHO Shamalyan is not a strong writer. Subtlety and subtext aren't his best strengths. How often do characters in his movies just blurt out exposition or how they are feeling. Pretty often if memory serves. Not saying all his stuff is bad either, but even in his more decent movies, there are moments like that.
Shamalyan's movies make me think, a trait not found in many movies lately. The courage night showed to make a film like split and not advertise it's connection to unbreakable was awesome. Name another director not named tarantino with the stones to do that.
A lot of this is based on the idea that “we” means super powered individuals. I assumed the that “we” means heroes and villains. It can also mean SUPERheroes and SUPERvillains, taking into account that both lex Luther and the joker are considered supervillains, two of the greatest at that.
I am watching unbreakable (first time seeing it). But do you think Mr. Glass had poncho man son under mind control to get his dad to pursue his powers? Because what kid would take something a complete stranger say so literal.
Bud, this is a great video! At first, when I clicked on it, I just did it so I can see all your theories on Unbreakable, Split, and Glass. I didn't think Mr. Glass would be that interesting... But was I wrong! This video really was well put together. I also think that M Night Shyamalan did a spectacular job in "breaking" (nyuk-nyuk) into the superhero genre starting with Unbreakable. The fact that he waited so long, whether intentional or not, was really the best move. People, like myself, who always wanted a sequel are now going to be flocking to the theaters to see it. When Split came out, it was really an entirely separate movie, but then he was able to weave it into a coherent story with Unbreakable. Needless to say, I'm stoked about Glass! hopefully M Night shyamalan's superhero universe can gain more traction and become an alternative to the DC and Marvel hold on comic book movies.
You bet Glass does. For some reason, people tell them their weaknesses..or weaknesses of some sort. Dunn unknowingly gave his away sort of. When Dunn and his son meet Glass, Dunn tells his son, "Don't drink the water".
Sorry but you are way off. Elijah is a criminal genius. He is on the Spectrum of universal balance. Light/Dark, Form/Chaos, Hero/Villain and all the various yin and yang. The pendulum swings one way and eventually back the other thus "balance" is maintained. Glass is the opposite of Dunn physically Dunn's bones don't break, he is Super Strong because the muscle tissue protects a person's bones. Thus the stronger the bone structure and density, the stronger the muscle (very basic comics explain), he also has physical empathy. Where on touch he can sense and see the negative actions of ppl that go against his moral code. However just like all comics heroes they have their weaknesses Dunn is susceptible to drowning what good is Super strength if you can't breathe? The powers of Glass is High IQ. That is all, but it is on the level of a Lex Luthor, or better yet Brain sense Luthor is physically fit and can do hand to hand if necessary. Now he uses his intellect and his handicap to read and analyze with the skill of a psychic. To be honest unless phobia of the disabled most ppl will not see them as a threat human condition so they are susceptible to his influence. The horde/Beast is the fulcrum of the scale, because he has 20 plus persona. This is why David had trouble getting a bead on him for so long, and Glass is capable of manipulating The Beast/Horde (He can use his intellect to influence in individual by reading them ala fake psychic).
I really enjoyed all three of your videos on the powers and abilities of David Dunn, Mr Glass, and The Horde. I just wanted to say that I am completely convinced that Elijah Price does in fact have powers of his own. You made an excellent point when you reinstated the fact that if Elijah is David’s polar opposite than that means he possesses the ability to influence the actions and thoughts of people he comes in contact with based off of David Dunn’s ability to sense the wrong doings of people he has come into contact with. It totally makes sense. I can’t wait for Glass to hit theaters and I hope M. Night Shyamalan continues to expand the Unbreakable Universe.
I am sorry if am repeating anyone's words, as I haven't read all the comments. The mistaken part of your video, the way as I see, is that you don't consider Mr. Glass's genius mind as a superpower. In the end of the video you ask (quote): "Is Mr Glass using his control over the mind to make the Beast do as he wishes, or has he used his immense intellect to convince the beast to join him?" See, in the Marvel Universe (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), Tony Stark HAS a superpower!!!! It's his genius mind! In accordance with the Marvel world, Tony Stark has the most brilliant mind in the Marvel Universe! Even Thanos reckons that. And that makes him a super-being! A super-mind IS a super power!
I'll make it like the wikipedia pages for supervillains. Powers and abilities: - Genius-level intellect - Criminal mastermind - Master of Deception - Master Tactician
I would say Mr. Glass's breakability physically is manifested as his ability to "break down" other people and get them to do or reveal things. Makes sense to me.
He's very smart but there are many people as smart or smarter irl, so it's not really "superhuman," like David's unbreakable bones, or Kevin's transformation. Glass' bones are just very fragile, which is not a power one would want to have but it is said that it's a rare disorder and he is David's opposite.
Perhaps Elijah has the same power of recognizing the evil acts of others. He did tell David that they were the same but on opposite ends of the spectrum and they have the same weakness to water. Maybe that's how he knew exactly what David's power was, that he shouldn't be afraid of it, and was able to instruct him how to use it
Yea he is kind of a whipped bitch honestly. He could have been the best boxer, footballer, or whatever he wanted. Made millions of dollars. Hell he still could.
@@godofyouall489 All of this is true but he does have an innate desire to protect people. The accident that he was in was the first time he used his abilities to save someone and a life of fame and fortune lost all of it's appeal. Just my $0.02.
His incredible intellect is a superpower in its own right, and it sort of works with him being David's opposite. David is indestructible and super strong. Glass is extremely fragile and has superhuman intelligence.
That's what my feeling was. 'Intelligence' is a funny quality, in that we claim to value it, we bestow it upon some of our popular heroes as a sort of 'validation', but we don't actually value intelligence per se. Glass's power seems to be his intelligence and his application of that in the face of his curse. ... To me that's plenty, but it may not be enough for the fans and the new movie may show us that he has other powers.
I think Elijah's intelligence and ability to figure things and people out quickly is his superpower. He's super smart and can use the knowledge he learns about others to manipulate them. He knows how to deal with and talk to people to learn what wants to know. Although , it can't be totally discounted that his ability to read people might be something similar to the way David does.
Have no one seen the color's yellow the beast Purple for glass green for David! And they all are super heroes BUT she has a color too it's pink she's one too wait and see!
I think Mr. Glass is a telepath and supergenius. Maybe an empath who can manipulate emotions. I saw the video about Dunn. It was awesome. I hope you do one about "the Beast" from "Split".
I think it would also be interesting to see David try to drown him at some point in the new movie only for both of them to discover that glass can beath under water (or could actually be were he is strongest in contrast to it being were David is weakest).
I think he also has a subtle power like that of Kilgrave to influence and manipulate people into w.e he says and accepts it, just not to that level. Also I like the idea of semi clairvoyance of a realistic future event if David can sense things people have done in the past. Think of his vocal influence of getting a massage but also with THC oils used, like sodium penetthol for truth Serum esp if he’s focused on that belief
Well done analysis. It's logical to think Elijah uses this "influencing" superpower to prevent psychiatric staff from sedating him to a point to which he cannot plot his masterplan.
Do you think Mr. Glass has a hidden superpower? ***EDIT*** I made a mistake. He didn't fall while chasing David. MY BAD! Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com/KeyIssuesCast
Maybe this is the origin off a certain Anime world we know and these Superpowers will be called something different in the future maybe something like......QUIRK'S.
Mr Glass is this universe's Charles Xavier. He is a super intelligent man with some sort of mind control ability whom is also confined to a wheelchair.
I think David’s son will have superpowers, too; but he doesn’t know it yet. We (and he) will find what they are in the movie, when he is forced to defend himself, his father or both against Glass and Horde. Also, does Glass’s Mom have a superpower other than having a strong personality and intelligence like her son? We’ll just have to wait and see.
I've always thought the name Mr. Glass was a clue. Not only does it describe his physical limitations but suggest what his powers are. Those that interact with him open themselves up. Become transparent and divulge or is influenced by him. Like staring into a mirror and unable to lie to your perceived self. Think of all the things glass allows us to experience. Whether this is a natural talent, mental ability or some other superpower the clue, to me, has always been in his name.
He reminds me of the purple man from marvel. Maybe he has a very small mind control ability allowing him to influence people. But then again that’s just a theory.
I don't normally agree with every part of a theory, but I think you hit the nail on the head. Great video. I hope this movie is going to be as good as it looks.
I'm really hoping they'll go more in depth and explain each of their abilities in Glass. I have a feeling they will though. Can't wait to see this movie.
I think this theory holds because when David Dunn son goes looking for answers in the comic book store. He finds nothing in the hero section but as he is about to leave, a comic in the villian section catches his eye. The comic he picks up is called “whisper” and it shows a villian who can control or “whisper “ into people heads what he wants them to believe. We also see that the comic gives him the idea to look at the parents of any villian, they are the key. So thank you for this theory it has answered that piece of the movie that has been stuck on my brain.
I know that the Unbreakable series has been stated to not be getting more movies, but I would have loved to see this universe expanded. I think the idea of physical trauma being the catalyst for superpowers is beyond interesting and could have still been expanded at least a little bit more. An individual who got their power from being burned or nearly frozen would be kind of nice. Perhaps a lightning strike or aversion to electricity? I honestly think this universe could have the most interesting heroes and villains to ever exist in media in terms of where they get their powers, their weaknesses, and even what could be possible. There is so much thought which goes into the superhumans, and the fact that it still manages to feel rather realistic is incredible.

Very, very nice theory. Improbability manifestation is very good guess if nothing else.

Crossover's are when two or more characters _cross over_ into another universe that is not their own.

Yeah, it is. But, if the others have multiple abilities, I'm sure Mr. Glass does too. Minor telepathy may be one of them.
The Marvelous One just like Ebony Maw.
In Unbreakable Elijah believed he was David's opposite, meaning he thought of himself as a Super Villain to David's Superhero. That in itself implies Elijah saw himself as a Super powered individual. Doesn't mean he controls peoples mind though, his super power is his intellect in my opinion.
#GODFACT
@@bebopbountyhead Elijah says at the end to David, something like "Now that we know who you are, I know who I am"

His only powers is being incredibly smart and manipulative.
Sounds like my ex.
Yeah, maybe so. But, his theory does make some sense if you pay close attention to the movie(s). I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did have minor telepathy.
Chris Darel I am.
@The Marvelous One
I had honestly forgotten that Audrey was confused about divulging all that personal information.
Also David was not able to sense glasses deads like other criminals.
It's a more realistic version of Superman and Lex luthor.
Exactly. I see the dynamic as well
I was thinking the same thing while watching the movie
His greatest power is intelligence.
So no superpowers?
like Lex Luthor or Toy Man.
@@KeyIssues superhuman intelligence obviously. I always thought since David can look into what ppl did in the past, Glass could look into the future.
this sense I think that's actually going to count as a superpower.
So is this like when Deadpool argues that Dominos powers are imaginary?
Purple - Mentally strong/ Mastermind villain - worn by Elijah Price
Orange - Physically strong villains - worn by the home invader and by Horde during Glass
Green - Hero - worn by David Dunn
Ya I think he dose have some kind off Telepathic power.
I think he can put a thought in someone's head and make them think it's there own.
That’s a good way to put it

Facts he's into the occult it's all mental
My Theory: All the powers are linked to the mind. If you think about Split, Kevin’s beast personality had inhuman abilities and strength, despite his other personalities not exhibiting any sort of power. In unbreakable, david was able to lift more and more weight, despite each threshold being difficult. And when he was in the pool, his trauma from when he was a child left him mentally crippled. Just my Theory
It takes intelligence to influence free will
I personally dont think Mr Glass has powers.
If he did then that would kind of ruin it because his character is meant to be a mastermind, a lex luthor type. No powers. Just smart.
David is meant to be superman. The beast ...doomsday or general zod.
His intelligence is his superpower.
Ya nailed it
I don't really think David Dunn has powers either.
@Shawn Burke he can also see the crimes people have committed just by touching them. Kind of a big superpower
Or it could be hollywood bullshit. I believe that the movie was made with the possibility of powers being questioned. Now the overrated split on the other hand was definitely a super villain movie. I don't look at them as sequels due to the vastly different styles and what not. @Shawn Burke
I thought since David Dunn can see what people have done he can see what people will do
Yeah it feels like that would be much more of a direct opposite.
That or how david feels your deep secret while Glass is more of a empath he can make people comfortable around him. Making you more trusting of him without saying anything.
Well yeah... That's what he explained in the video
He’s clairvoyant, on top of his high intellect.

Maybe Mr. glass has that type of person that just makes you feel comfortable to tell him secrets and I've seen it before on TV with scenes of vulnerable or emotional people spilling their guts to someone who otherwise doesn't even care.
i think he includes himself in it cause he thinks of himself as a supervillian i think his power is he's a super genius

P.S. Am i the only one who wants to see that girl from Split come back in Glass as a super hunter or super sharpshooter?
this is actually a great explanantion ngl
but the P.S. bruh cmon that's so weird and random lol
I enjoyed all 3 explanations of Mr. Glass, The Hordes and David Dunn's powers. Pretty cool Key Issues! :-)
But that wasn’t the first time Mr. Glass said “we” - in the closing of Unbreakable he says “now that WE know who you are, I know who I am.”
It's possible that he has a subtle ability to influence others and/or gain their trust. However, it's also possible that he has an enhanced ability to read people ... sensing their abilities and potential in much the same way that David Dunn can sense their sins (but not necessarily by touch).
this unbreakable has a lot of good people in this
Christian highly recommend. Only has a few bad moments but creates an awesome universe
The movie was way ahead of its time.
Everyone already noticed that "The Beast" was shown in the movie more than once, right?
Mr. Glass is somehow connected to people with powers. His very first comic, the sale at his gallery, and his explanation on identifying heroes and villains, all showed the beastman archetype.... Split.
Elijah probably an undercover from the marvel universe so he can recruit bruce willis and jamed mcavoy to be an avenger yea
And the shamalan twist Elijah is still a kid and it was all a dream after reading a Avengers comic book
@@bullsdeepdish6982 that's a good way to look at it.
That's a pretty solid theory. I bet you're at least mostly right on it.

Two of your strongest theory's people divulging info and him being sedated
The fact that Dunn needs an opposite
Not many people explain underrated Superhero movie superpowers, so thank you for this!
As an empath ppl would randomly tell me their darkest secrets. So both David and Elijah be both of the sides of an empath?
I am sorry if am repeating anyone's words, as I haven't read all the comments.
The mistaken part of your video, the way as I see, is that you don't consider Mr. Glass's genius mind as a superpower. In the end of the video you ask (quote): "Is Mr Glass using his control over the mind to make the Beast do as he wishes, or has he used his immense intellect to convince the beast to join him?"
See, in the Marvel Universe (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), Tony Stark HAS a superpower!!!! It's his genius mind! In accordance with the Marvel world, Tony Stark has the most brilliant mind in the Marvel Universe! Even Thanos reckons that. And that makes him a super-being!
A super-mind IS a super power!
I'll make it like the wikipedia pages for supervillains.

His incredible intellect is a superpower in its own right, and it sort of works with him being David's opposite. David is indestructible and super strong. Glass is extremely fragile and has superhuman intelligence.
Maybe he’s so smart that given enough variables he can predict/imagine multiple timelines and act accordingly.

His super power is super low calcium .
MY BAD!

A Smiley No.
Bill ' yes
Persuasion
"It was the kids. They called me Mr Glass."
I just believe that Joseph and Cassy has superpower, especially because Cassy have Stockholm Syndrome and Joseph was bulled when he was a kid
This is ridiculous
--ly accurate. Well done!
Now do an episode for the beast
Yes do one for the beast
He Is working on it
I don't normally agree with every part of a theory, but I think you hit the nail on the head. Great video. I hope this movie is going to be as good as it looks.
I'm really hoping they'll go more in depth and explain each of their abilities in Glass. I have a feeling they will though. Can't wait to see this movie.
Excellent analysis and deduction. :)
Let's be real his super power is being Samuel L friggin Jackson
I think this theory holds because when David Dunn son goes looking for answers in the comic book store. He finds nothing in the hero section but as he is about to leave, a comic in the villian section catches his eye. The comic he picks up is called “whisper” and it shows a villian who can control or “whisper “ into people heads what he wants them to believe. We also see that the comic gives him the idea to look at the parents of any villian, they are the key. So thank you for this theory it has answered that piece of the movie that has been stuck on my brain.
He was chasing the guy with the gun. Did you even watch the movie??
Brains Evil, Brawn Good TV Trope at its finest.

*_~ The Beast_*_ [ in parting, sparing an appalled and terrified Casey ]_
I believe that The Beast wouldn't need much ((?if any?)) persuasion (( or *_Ultrapersuasion_* )) to ally himself with Mr. Glass. For you see... to The Beast, Mr. Glass is supremely.... _"Pure"_
Mr. Glass is a Deadpool jr... He is a comic book character that knows he is in a comic book movie...
exactly
Very well put together.
I had no idea and did not catch a lot about Mr. Glasses powers?
Thanks and, right on!
They said in unbreakable he fights the villan with his mind
He has a dark charisma where as David Dunn seems more socially awkward but with a certain warmth about him.
They are nicely opposed. Looking forward to Glass.
I think they had to sedate him because he just kept exploiting the guards and making excape attempts
His power is Iceman related... he freezes people in their tracks by saying "motherf*****"!
He's just trying to assemble the avengers smh
I really feel like fans and fan theories do the script writers job for them.... Like they were obviously at a stand still but now you've given them so many angles to work with as far linking sequel and making sense of things while keeping it believable... I really believe they watch UA-cam videos like this to gather ideas
Glass in there cuz he believes he is a villain...both hero's and villains in comic books bro
Only saw Unbreakable once and not the whole thing, haven’t seen the other 2 at all. Super excited to binge them now, thanks ;)
I’m wondering if the 3 characters are the same person 🤔
I agree with your theory!! as Mr Glass has great mental abilities!! and David Dunn has great control over his body's abilities!!
