Did something involving water happen to Shyamalan as a kid? “Lady in the Water”, the weakness of the aliens in “Signs”, the weakness of the hero in “Unbreakable” and “Glass”,
He actually had originally planned for unbreakable to have two sequals, but thought the first one wasn't going to do well or didn't realise how much cgi was gonna be needed for split or something (can't remember the actual reason). Which is why he made unbreakable so long before he made split and glass
I friggin hate they resulted of using the cliched CIA/Bilderberg/Illuminati like organization as the main villain of the film, because there was no build up and it was revealed to the end portion only.
As a fan of David, I agree. M Night really needed to give us an after credit scene where we see Joseph locking up the store, turning out the lights and then we see the figure of The Overseer in the doorway. And CUT TO BLACK. Perfect.

I've said it before, M. Knight finds a twist ending that he likes first; then he shoots a film around it in order to surprise the audience. The problem he's had with that is, as soon as the story starts to lose it's integrity and meaning, then so will the ending. This is why ALL his films have horrible, illogical endings.
you carry the hell on @CinemaSins, it's damn time M. Knight gets a thrashing lol. also, McAvoy is a god among men, and X-Men never deserved he or Fassbender
Then you miss out. I would rather form my own opinions rather than listen to someone else's, especially since he talks over most of the dialogue anyways.
Jesus, what's with the hate train? This movie sucked. Lots of movies EWW reviews suck. I'm more than happy to watch someone with a sense of humor make fun of a sucky movie than watch said sucky movie.
When he says "First name MR. Last name GLASS" it's not a Roll Credits sin? Anyway, here are more sins I'd add: 1) There was practically no interaction between DAVID and ELIJAH. 2) It's revealed early on that JOSEPH and CASEY went to the same school. That's never addressed. Is this a way of showing that the characters are connected in more way than one? But the group of main characters is quite small and they all live in the same city. It's not that much of a stretch to find out that they've met each other. Hell, that's not even the case here. 2 characters happened to go to the same school. And not at the same time. 3) DARYL keeps flashing lights which causes the different personalities to appear. Why doesn't he just leave the room? And why do the personalities have to announce themselves every time they show up? Can't the personalities tell each other to not speak? Are they doing this in purpose to fuck with him? Because there doesn't seem to be a point to that. 4) ELIJAH says that a car backfired and he knew DARYL would arrive in 7 minutes. It can't be that accurate. Even if it was the right amount of time every single night, it's a short gap. He's talking too slowly and he's giving information that it isn't vital in this very moment. 5) ELIJAH and KEVIN get out of their rooms and make a lot of noise. Isn't there anyone else working there? The other nurse sees them and is merely surprised rather than scared out of his mind. Has he forgotten that they're murderers? He tells them to go back to their rooms like that was enough. Why doesn't he yell for help? 6) DAVID takes too much time locking the cops (for their safety) that KEVIN is already killing others. Wasn't the bar enough to prevent them from opening the gate? Did he have to bend it too? 7) Why did DAVID have to be the first of the 3 to die? Wouldn't it have been more powerful to have him die last? 8) After being shot, why doesn't CASEY tell THE HORDE to let THE BEAST out? Maybe that would've prevented him from dying or at least given him more time to cure him. 9) The whole point of UNBREAKABLE was to tell grounded everyday stories that just happened to involve people with superabilities. Revealing that such a cult exists goes against it. It's too far-farfetched for the world that's been set up. It's established that the comic books in this universe are the same ones that exist in real life. They've all existed? Even those who aren't human? Even those who acquire powers rather than those who are born with them? Why were comic book writers allowed to publish these secret stories? And why did they do it without claiming them to be true? DR. STAPLE was only able to capture DAVID and THE BEAST because she knew their weaknesses. What if there was no evidence of that? Before there were news media, how did they know what they were? What happened in cases like SUPERMAN where the weakness was something out of this world? 10) How did ELIJAH know JOSEPH's e-mail address? And CASEY, whom he didn't even know about?
11) In Unbreakable, DAVID was able to get out of water and move just fine. He simply couldn't swim and sank to the bottom. Why does water now weaken him? 12) So why doesn't rain weaken him as well?
After carrying the movie for so long, they HAD to lay James McAvoy's character to rest XD But in all honesty, having at least 1 of the villains living without their main instability would have been better than the shitshow that was the ending for this film
I still think this is one of the best movies of the year. I really don’t understand what the real issues were aside from the ending which I can understand why people would be divided over. The cinematography, acting, atmosphere, build up, thrills and powerful story were all beautifully executed.
All it takes is a bad ending to spoil the rest of it. It's like you're having an amazing dinner at a great restaurant and then your waiter suddenly drops trou and shits right in front of you. You're not going to remember that dinner as "the awesome restaurant with the amazing food", you're going to remember it as "that time you went to the restaurant and your waiter took a dump right in front of you".
"Oh, look. It's deleted footage from Unbreakable that M. Night is putting in this movie. You can tell because you can actually see Bruce Willis caring about his job in this shot." HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! I actually went to the theater to see this movie and the whole time I'm like :"Man, Bruce Willis does not give a shit anymore" Glad I wasn't the only one to see that! Good sin-off for McAvoy too. He was the only thing good about this disappointment of a movie.
One of my mates told me to watch this trilogy, seeing how I'm a comic nerd...He's no longer my mate. Joke aside is M.Night Shyamalan one of those "I'm so conceptual you just don't understand my art" kind of directors ?!? Becuase how in the hell does he land funding for this visual ebola ?!?
You should have sinned the fact that David Dunn was kept in chains during the group therapy but The Horde was not physically bound at all. Yes, I know that the chains were supposed to reflect David Dunn's super strength. Yes, I know that the room had the strobe lights to subdue The Horde. That doesn't change the fact that David Dunn is only suspected of multiple counts of vigilantism, assault, and murder. The Horde have confirmed instances of multiple kidnappings and cannibalism. There is also the whole multiple personality thing in which several of the identities are complicit and loyal to The Beast identity. If anyone should be physically bound, then it should be The Horde much more than David Dunn.
This is one of those where everyone should understand how much you like movies, considering how much you wanted this movie to be good/likeable. It's also one of the really good ones because your frustration fuels it :D

My wife INSISTED on watching this on premiere night. I was so mad. This was easily in M. Night’s worst five but I predicted it would be worst ten so I was close. Even after, she was raving about it and how good it was but I was fuming.
In my opinion, the worst thing about this move is the fact that the guy from split could of escaped his room by just covering his eyes so the light didn’t affect him
Everything wrong with glass. The whole 3rd act. The 2nd The Beast & Mr. Glass make it outside it just got worse & worse. It's when I should of walked out.

Did something involving water happen to Shyamalan as a kid? “Lady in the Water”, the weakness of the aliens in “Signs”, the weakness of the hero in “Unbreakable” and “Glass”,
Can he swim?
Or washing his ass...
Just poor/lazy scriptwriting
You ever get the feeling that Shyamalan is actually a pretty bad director who got lucky once and has been trying to ride that hype ever since?
He actually had originally planned for unbreakable to have two sequals, but thought the first one wasn't going to do well or didn't realise how much cgi was gonna be needed for split or something (can't remember the actual reason).
Which is why he made unbreakable so long before he made split and glass
I think that is *exactly* the case
Three times.
I like Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable, Split, and The Happening a lot
The Happening was a joke
oOf i totally agree XD
Everything wrong with Glass:
1. The ending
My opinion
Yes this sums up everything wrong with it
You’re not wrong. I semi-enjoyed this film, but good grief, that ending...🤦🏻♂️
Revealed that superhuman exists to the world whilst showed that they're also could be killed easily just degraded their value as "superhuman"
Perfect.
whenever I see James McAvoy with a shaved head I literally don't see professor X i see Patricia
Daysiane Da Silva fucking same
Movie Studios: Add their logos to the beginning of the movie
CinemaSins: It's free real estate
Why didn't this guy take off points for Hedwig's humorous line "You're inlove with Kevin now" ?
I think it deserves a sin that David loses all his strength during the puddle scene but he still has the power to see visions.
David managed to crack the water tank while he was inside submerged, but became totally helpless when his head was on the pothole
*Me Before Glass* : “Can’t wait for this movie! Shyamalan is back on track and he’s finishing the trilogy, it’s gonna be awesome!”

I LOVED James McAvoy's performance in this movie! The switch between the personalities was so amazing!
Guys Guys, we must not allow Jeremy to get away with NOT sinning the Narration

I've said it before, M. Knight finds a twist ending that he likes first; then he shoots a film around it in order to surprise the audience. The problem he's had with that is, as soon as the story starts to lose it's integrity and meaning, then so will the ending. This is why ALL his films have horrible, illogical endings.
you carry the hell on @CinemaSins, it's damn time M. Knight gets a thrashing lol. also, McAvoy is a god among men, and X-Men never deserved he or Fassbender

Oh man. I died at the Wicked Witch of the West reference at the end!! 😂😂
When he says "First name MR. Last name GLASS" it's not a Roll Credits sin? Anyway, here are more sins I'd add:
1) There was practically no interaction between DAVID and ELIJAH.
I loved "Unbreakable" so much that I have also watched it many times. I watched "Glass" just once and I am done.
Sometimes when there’s a movie I want to watch but don’t own, I go to this channel.
After carrying the movie for so long, they HAD to lay James McAvoy's character to rest XD
But in all honesty, having at least 1 of the villains living without their main instability would have been better than the shitshow that was the ending for this film
Bruce Willis dying in a puddle was probably the most ridiculous thing tbh.

It was a pretty good movie. But it wasn’t enough to be remembered other than ‘yeah it’s not bad’
"Oh, look. It's deleted footage from Unbreakable that M. Night is putting in this movie. You can tell because you can actually see Bruce Willis caring about his job in this shot."
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! I actually went to the theater to see this movie and the whole time I'm like :"Man, Bruce Willis does not give a shit anymore" Glad I wasn't the only one to see that!
Good sin-off for McAvoy too. He was the only thing good about this disappointment of a movie.

You should have sinned that there was a mace windu comic in the background of the comic book store.
Shyamalan... reminds me a lot of Michael Scott from The Office directing Threat Level Midnight
