I think if clown retires the band will keep going. Since slipknot has had way worse times in their career such as Paul greys passing. Because a band is like a brother hood they respect each other's wishes and company. they have lived together on a bus probably behind the scenes got into fights. Then came together and hugged it out and said I'm sorry man. Because that how it gose it won't change the band from what it was because clown is still on good terms with the rest of slipknot as far as I know, but it will change the band in a way they can release a diffrent sound I don't see it as a bad thing as long as the new person if they choose too fill the spot dosnt try and replace him that's all that's important too me because Denis stoff tried too do that with Danny from asking Alexandria in my oppinion. Look at suicide science they decided too go on in Mitch's legacy. The new vocalist isn't trying too replace Mitch he's trying too carry on Mitch's legacy. My oppinion might be diffrent then yours but that's ok tomorrow is a new day. 😊😊

fallen angel xx I think slipknot will still be an amazing band weather or not they stay together my uncle is in a band they play in bars as a cover band and is happy doing so and plays bass guitar they have broken up 3 times and now have diffrent members from each. If your not willing too live together and carry ex members legacy you shouldn't be their because every band has a history and people won't like a diffrent person but if they didn't say he was leaving and got a replacement and he wore the same mask nobody would no the diffrence so why be upset if you can't change it find a positive path because they are getting older bands break up members leave or die that's how the band and road life gose sadly

He's almost 50 years old. All good things have to come to an end eventually. If you keep moving on past your prime, you become Metallica.

Somebody had interviewed Corey Taylor and he said if clown left I’d probably go to but he kind of said take it with a grain of salt because he said that a lot of us his band members have said that before and it never happened my hope is 2 More albums after the one coming in 2019 hopefully

I haven't even got to see them live once yet. If they are ending the band or Clown is leaving this will suck sooooooo much. But if he or Amy other member needs to retire because they're tired or just want to move on I complety get it.
If you listen to the podcast I am pretty sure he is referring to the process of how slipknot is writing their album ''this could be it for me.'' meaning this is how he wants to write and work on their following albums. Could be wrong but possibly it's being taken out of context??

Just being in that band by itself it's a moving Force. It puts a lot of punishment and emotions on the human body... If Shawn does decide to leave I completely understand but Slipknot must live on. Hopefully his son joins.

Well we could assume a lot of things we may be right, we may be wrong but the thing is, does anybody ask clown what did he try to say in a more specific way to explain why he say that?, it may be a new era for him, to evolve to something more to his age and maturity, may be even life or death, IDK! Anyway, If he or the band retire I will still have a lot of respect for them.

I was 10 at first I thought they was scary now I fucking love them... my mom knows it too good, my room is pretty much slipknot masks, posters, rings, necklace, wrist band, stickers like it's fucking insane... my friends won't come to my room because they thinks it's scary... but my point is o don't know what to do if slipknots over... Like they have gotten me thought the worst days to making me laugh thinking about them... and I know how old they are... especially clown... he's around 50 soon, he's been with the old hardcore slipknot, he was one of the creators of slipknot. Man, this band has been together with the same 9 guys since 1995 for 15 blimin years, then 2010 rolls around, **** goes down. Paul dies 3 years later joey gets kicked out and now clown might leave, could this be the end for slipknot?! The early 2010s have been harsh on slipknot. But with 2014s gray album we saw a light, that slipknot will still be here after 19 years, and that the late 2010s will be a return to form like the glory days of the 2000s. The 6th album is still in Slipknots womb and now there is a chance that clown could leave which may or may not tear slipknot apart. And even if it doesn't tear the band apart, it will lose a heck of a percussionist and a part of the bands charm, I really, really, really, that clown will not leave the band, and even if clown does I hope the band still continues.

I have to say if Clown leaves Slipknot, they will try and make a couple more albums but it obviously wouldn't be the same without Clown. Doing this for 20 years, he probably wants to settle down and retire from music. 20 years is amazing but it can take a toll on people. After Paul Gray passing, it was very different for them and yes they still went on in his honor. It would be the same with Clown if he left the band.

Slipknot I think should be a legacy as a member gets tired they should train and replace the members, joe and the bass player are already replaced why not keep it going.
look he makes films now days and it wouldn't be surprising if he's lost the passion to play music on the level he has for 20+ years and finds making films and music videos more appealing at this stage IN HIS LIFE! I am a KNOThead and would be very disappointed if he leaves but two of the original core members are not in SLIPKNOT and haven't been for a few years now so maybe CLOWN's a bit disillusioned by where their path has gone... also Taylor focuses on STONESOUR quite alot and so SLIPKNOTS left suspended out in space waiting for his ass to get done with them.

Ya. Corey was on stone sour with Jim before they were in Slipknot. Stone sour was the best band In Des Moines when Slipknot was starting and that was one of the things that made the Slipknot members "recruit" Corey to be their vocalist.
