Australia’s second-biggest city, Melbourne, is continuing to grow with number of high-profile multi-billion-dollar developments spearheading the city’s economic recovery.
Despite the city suffering through a world record lockdown, Melbourne’s growing build-to-rent pipeline is now nearly double Sydney’s and quadruple Brisbane’s while high-end residential developments and a number of high-profile commercial projects across the city continue to come out of the ground.

I think the images at 9:11 for 383 La Trobe Street are not all the same building. The first one yes. But the other ones seem to be concept art for a building in Sydney. You can see Sydney's Tower Eye and Town Hall Building in the background.

There have been quite a few articles lately that have explained that Sydney has used bogus numbers to appear as the biggest city when in fact Melbourne is the bigger city.

Sydney certainly still looks considerably bigger. There are even suburbs with a considerable amount of skyscrapers.
Melbourne's skyline is certainly looking more modern than Sydney's these days.
No-one in Australia pronounces either city in the manner you've adopted in this video. Sure, if I visited Melbourne FL (actually named after Melbourne VIC fwiw) or Brisbane CA, I would need to adopt your pronunciation. I wont bore you with the details - there are scores of videos from Americans and Canadians who have visited both cities and made the adjustment..

Melborn used to be a great city. People were very friendly to each other, and quality of life was good. Now it's a dangerous, overpopulated shit hole, with its key feature being those that own property and exotic cars, and those that don't. Quality of life considerably diluted now. Best not to speak to anyone, or help anyone, you might get robbed or slashed or urinated on. It's a city worth staying away from. And almost none of these projects have, or will ever happen.
And it's pronounced Mel Burn, not Mel Born.

well what do you propose we do? create a new planning rule, which dictates that new developments must not look like anything else done prior in the world? I mean we could lobby to the planning minister?
The sheer volume of new highrises isn't so much the issue for me. It's the way the vast majority of them are clustered in the existing CBD and surrounding inner suburbs. Melbourne needs to decentralise itself and build more secondary Box Hill kind of CBD's in the suburbs. That's how many large cities operate.
