Hope you have a great time with your grandsons and the rest of the family, wishing a very thankful and grateful Thanksgiving🦃🦃🙏🏼♥🙏🏼🦃🦃 filled with amazing blessings.Love the woodlands colors. It's your throw and if you are happy with it as is then it's perfect. I think it is lovely.
Hi Jeanne love everything you have made. Thank you for sharing everything.Congrats to the winners. You don’t worry about next week take it off and spend that time with your family.Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you all.
Good morning, Jeanne! I love the cardigans you have made and the afghans. How could anyone write bad things on your comments, you are the sweetest friend ever. I was finally able to budget and just purchased that beautiful pouch. Love all the wildflower items, so very pretty. Have a lovely Thanksgiving with love, hugs, and prayers.
I don’t usually like yarns with abrupt color changes. However the yarn in your cardi is beautiful and I love it. It has a southwest feel to it. Your dishcloth turned out lovely. Your blanket looks beautiful with the way you did your top and bottom. It’s such a beautiful pattern. Sofies Universe is a beautiful blanket too. After a certain point square blankets feel as though they’ll never end. Congratulations winners 👏🏻!
I just Love the multi-colored cardi! I purchased the pattern, just trying to finish up a few WIP's so I can get started on it. Gorgeous afaghan's!! And Thank You for the Crochet World magazine I won!! I received it, and there's lots of nice patterns inside, Thank Again! Take Care, Blessings Always 💕
Hi Jeanne! Congratulations to this week's winners! Knitting is fun! Beware black dyed cotton sugar and cream will bleed. 😮 I think your Sophie's Universe blanket is beautiful! Your cardigans are so pretty! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family! Take good care!❤
Hi Jeanne, I am new to knitting too and am having similar issues, but I am loving the positive and humorous way you have of looking at mistakes! You are so lighthearted about it all and it kinda lifts me up! I can get so frustrated with my mistakes but your lighthearted manner really helps me keep going and trying again. Thanks so much for being there. I feel I have found a new friend. Happy Thanksgiving!
Love that cardi you're wearing. I Finished a throw the same way and it worked fine. I agree that longer works better than a square for me too. Have a wonderful holiday and don't stress over wips. Enjoy your knitting.
Congratulations to the winners! Your Multicolor Cardi is so pretty, it would look fantastic with so many different outfits.. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Jeanne!
I went right away to your ETSY page and bought the sweater pattern!! Love the diamond painting and the afhgan!!! Thank you for your wonderful video!! Vicky from Michigan!!! Take care and happy crocheting and knitting!!!
When frogging ontoa winder i always find it most helpful to fold the project up so there is either only 1 or 2 sides pointing towards the winder. That way it can pull almost a straight line back and forth instead of it having to go around in a circle and the yarn catching on the project.
Beautiful cardis. If need to frog knitted items. Think of the lost stitch as part of a ladder, then hook up the ladder. Might help. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Hi Jeanne, thanks for the informative video on how you ripped out on your afghan. Congratulations to the winners, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I use size 7 straight needles for dishcloths with any cotton yarn. I’m a loose knitter and want the cloths to be a little tighter. Love your cardigans, I’m getting ready to crochet your cardi vest. My sister made it, and gets lots of compliments
Hi Jeanne, I have a knitted sweater made with acrylic yarn that knitted up pretty well. I will do one in #3 weight yarns, to make a sweater. Congrats to the winners.
I’m absolutely in love with your spun color multicolor cardigan!!! The colors are gorgeous…love how you paired it with your top and slacks!!! Beautiful outfit!!! I’ve gathered yarn to make one, hope to start sometime in December. I have several blankets and hat/scarf sets to make first. Love your blankets…we don’t always have to follow the original pattern to the T…I often will add my own flare to a pattern, making it unique to me!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family…enjoy!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤🤗🧶
I love seeing your knitting progress. I have a Christmas stocking that was knitted for me as a baby and have vowed to learn so i can make it. I'm also very new so cant do complicated things, like purl. But what i found works instead of learning to actually purl is instead of switching my needles for the next row of purls, i just do knit st from the right needle to the left! Unfortunately it only works if your doing the whole row that way but at least you can get the stockinette st effect still just doing the knit stich you know
Hi Jeanne, it's very easy to pick up stitches with a crochet hook while knitting even if its way down your project. You can find videos on youtube to show you how.
I love your cardigans--they are so nicely fitted and not baggy. I’ve never made one of yours yet because I’ve not had a lot of success in making sweaters. They never fit and are always too baggy. So I’m a bit gun shy now about trying it again. Perhaps I’ll take the plunge in 2025 and give it a whirl! That Sophie’s Choice Afghan is gorgeous. I saw Llama Mama Kayla work on hers in videos she put out probably a year or two ago and I thought then about attempting it. I’m a beginner knitter too and have never learned how to pick up dropped stitches. I tried to make socks a year ago--that was an epic fail!! Too complicated for me! Loved your video--hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving together…🦃🍁🍂 ❤-Brenda
Good evening Jeanne, I watched a review of electric winders by Toni Lipsey at TL Yarncrafts today and she had a 40% off if you used her link. It appeared to be a little more than $40. I am contemplating getting one for myself. I also saw the Cats Meow as a kit from Herrschners that looks very nice. I really like your afghans from Juan and the Sophie's Universe.
Hi !! The Cat's Meow blanket ,,, if you have time you can see different colored ones made by people for boggy creek on Juans channel on the replay lives of boggy and you can see Nancy's too that she has so many different ones every week there is a couple has to be the replay live ones for both , pretty cardigan !! Nice color !! The cal with Juan looks awesome like ur ending instead of bobbles , Have a Happy Thanksgiving !! Enjoy !!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family ! I’m rewatching this episode and May I suggest if you replace your ball winder to buy one that has enclosed gears. Juan likes his Knit Picks brand, so just fyi ! Also, I love how you finished off your Afghan cal with Juan, especially your addition of the heart borderline ! 👏 👏👏great job ❤
Hello from Northern MN. I have made that cardi pattern twice and it is always hands down the best fitting sweater I have ever made. I am wondering if I can adapt the same principles to knit and hope to try it some day. (I knit too) I have a ball winder I really like. It is the same one used heavy duty at the local fiber group vendor shop I enjoy going to and having some of my sheepy products for sale (small scale). It is the Strach ball winder and a bit more on the pricey side, but well worth it. Do you think the white yarn on the edge of the frogged blanket might have been slightly larger than the other in the blanket? On such a large scale of edging it would ripple if that was the case. You did some nice adaptations.
I remember the Multicolor Cardi from it's launch in 2022 and I thought it was wonderful then, and still do! I thought that I may have already bought the pattern, and I have! I found it on my phone and printed it out! Of course, I have some Christmas gifts to finish, but I'm very excited about this Cardi! I'm so glad you are feeling better dear Jeanne! Don't be so hard on yourself about the afghans. When you're done, you're done! You still are a delight and encouragement to us all! HUGS! As for the ball winder and swift, a lot of people recommend Stanwood brand. I just have a cheap one like yours. However, I bet Mr. On The Hook could make one easily. Simply google DIY Ball Winder. Here's a video about making a wooden one: ua-cam.com/video/DxJ7UW8fqeo/v-deo.html You can also buy an electric ball winder as well. Here's Crystal from Bag O Day reviewing her electric ball winder. ua-cam.com/video/LXd-55KI2mY/v-deo.html And heree is Kristine Kelly reviewing 5 styles of ball winders ua-cam.com/video/tx9csZVlQg8/v-deo.html Hope this helps! And I found a wash rag I was knitting too! Great minds think alike! LOL
I love your vidios. I go to Ruby Stedmens knit and crochet vidios she is so easy to follow and she explains everything so well. I knew how to knit but l like her knit items.Happy Thanksgiving.
Your cardigans are beautiful & you model everything so lovely. You might find it easier to knit with the needles & count the stitches at end of every row, sorry I know you don't like counting. Hope you & Mr On the Hook have a lovely Thanksgiving with your family. 🐥🧶🦃🍂♥️🏴
Don't you always tell us to "make it your own"? That is what you did with the afghan; your colors are very pretty. I have been doing BRIOCHE crochet---looks just like knitting--- and I am loving it!
As a crochet person who learned how to knit, I found it awkward at first. Just keep practicing, it will come easier. Find someone who knows how to knit to show you how to pick up a dropped stitch. I found it pretty easy to do using a crochet hook, especially if you catch it early.
Hi Jeanne. Great projects and WIPs. Congrats to the winners.

I would use smaller knitting needles - sizes 6 or 8 - to name a dish cloth. I prefer a tighter stitch.
