Stepahnie, you were the ray of sunshine and inspiration I needed today. I was struggling w/a vest that I came up short of yarn even though according to my gauge and yardage of my skeins I should have had 60 yards left. Your idea of using a different color for the neckline and arm holes reminded me I had leftover of a dark gray of the same yarn and it is perfect to finish the project. I always enjoy spending time with you over a cup of coffee.
What an array of beautiful projects! “You knit a sweater for your hot water bottle”😂. That cracked me up. Also, your test knit vest is just the best! I love the colors and how you’re playing with them. ❤
Oh wow, that vest is going to be amazing! I always love seeing your color inspo and how you use up leftovers. Your daughter's cardigan is going to be gorgeous as well! Always love catching up with your makes Stephanie ❤️
Thank you Stephanie, for sharing your gorgeous knits with us today! I really love your OOTD ... it is all so coordinated and cheery. I did have a hot water bottle as a kid growing up in New Zealand and now for the past couple of winters I have started using one again AND I have made (and enjoy) a "sweater" for it. Your HWB cover looks so very cozy! The sweater and the cardigan for your girls will be gorgeous. Thank you for your joy and I'm sending some right back to you! Happy making! 😊
Hi Stephanie! Your cardigan, your mug and your cowl are giving me all the vibes! So beautiful! Thank you for knitting my November Mitts Marled, I'm so happy to know you like the pattern :) Also, LOVE hot water bottle sweater, I think I will knit one for my friend. As always I am in awe with everything you knit. Thank you for being an inspiration!
What a joy it is spending time with you. You encourage me in so many ways. I loved all the projects and the yarn choices as always were so beautiful. Your little girls cardigan is so cute. I also find that my mood often drives what I'm reading. Thank you Stephanie
I just ❤ everything you knit! I have made the same socks for my husband last year and they are a real sturdy yarn. Your Test vest is gorgeous! I can’t wait for the pattern!
Thank you so much!!! Right?? Love West Yorkshire Spinners. He has a couple pairs from a few years ago that have worn so well - they've gotten softer over time but no holes!
I am so happy that you love color as much as I do. So many fantastic knitters I follow love neutrals and some don't venture outside neutrals and deep colors. I remember watching a video of one person showing WIPs and finished items in endless shades of brown. I love neutrals, but I also love COLOR. Especially since I'm in a state where it's still 84 degrees outside and the only reason I know it's fall is because Pumpkin Spice is everywhere. I m going to be wearing turquoise, coral, purple, and fuscia in November, as well as rust, pine green, navy, and neutrals. Your daughter's cardigan is looking fantastic!
I can't agree more and I came to say the same thing but you said it so much better! I absolutely love colors and it's so nice watching other people make bright and colorful knits.
Hi! Ah, your colors always cheer me up!! You always inspire with fiber, food, books, gardening....Love all the cozy vibes and yarn play. My eldest teen likes to cook and bake seemingly randomly, and I am thinking of getting him some cookbooks for Christmas...I am going to look into the ones you have used frequently (well in my memory at least 😂). I am returning to Sock Squad for 2024!! SO excited to see the yarns coming and all the potential makes for the year. I first learned about FDF and the idea of a yarn subscription from your early days here on the channel--I am definitely a FDF fan, thank you! Stay warm!
As always I do so appreciate the entirety of your making, the colors, patterns etc and your very special motivating personality gets me through all the gift knitting with great tips and joy:) Wishing Happy Peaceful Healthy Upcoming Holidays to you and yours.
I adore the color of your cardigan! It looks great on you. I want to make a cardigan, too. Now that I saw yours, I want to copy it. You’re a fabulous knitter. I have also wanted to make a “ sweater” for a hot water bottle. Such a cute moment. Children are so clever. The next item on my list are fingerless mitts. I think I will make myself a pair, and then one for my daughter. I’m a little tired of knitting socks. I just purchased Whitacker’s book, but have yet to begin it. We will see what all the great comments are about, and if they are accurate. I enjoy books that hold my attention, and that are page turners. I’ve read every one of Freida McFadden’s books and am starting some of Riley Seger’s. I was on a World War 2 kick, but that got very depressing. I also listen to books through audible. I also get on lists from Libby, but when the book becomes available, my time usually isn’t. Well, I am looking forward to your next video. I am excited when I see you have a new one. Until next time….
I am going to have to try one of the knit mitt patterns that you shared. I knit my first pair a couple days ago and they are sooo big!😂 It is a learning process . . .I have become knit obsessed!!
Such happy, bright & cheerful colors! I have plans to get that magenta yarn (or another purple-y)… WYS yarn is very nice for socks! I too am unable to read a book that is too close to reality, leaning toward British, detective, YA…light reading. Practicing 2-handed colorwork on a buffalo plaid cowl (red + black = oh so cozy vibes). Catching floats as well. Had some sport wt acrylic in stash to use for this. THEN, I will use some scrumptious maroon + deep gold hand-dyed for the next one….😊 Thanks for more inspiration (as always!!!) and the soups (yumm), chocolate + bananas, soooo good!
I love the cardigan for your daughter and the sweater for your older daughter! Beautiful! I just finished All the Colors of the Dark. I really enjoyed it but some of it was stretched out. I thoroughly enjoyed it after I completed it. It is a long read, in my opinion.
Thank you so much Beth! Yeah, I ended up returning the book this evening (there were 100+ people waiting behind me??) and will maybe come back to it another time, just not what I'm in the mood to read currently. Glad you enjoyed it overall even if it wasn't the most enjoyable throughout! I picked up Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne and Sandwich by Catherine Newman - both I had been on a waitlist for some time!
Love your projects and attitude about your projects. It is easy to get wrapped around the axel on finishing and I appreciate how you inspire but also contain the pressure I can feel. Does that make any sense? Not sure. Anyway, I can recommend The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson. I am listening to it on Libby. While you have the weight of the coming war, it is plenty uplifting owing to strong women and a little romance. 😊
Me too! I feel like the videos used to automatically credit in the artists for the music I add in from UA-cam's Audio Library but I'm not seeing it here on this video....
@@EdibleThoughtsMakesYou might give the song "May Be" by Yiruma a listen - the theme is strikingly similar and they're even in the same key 😊 one of my favorites of his to play as it's so uplifting 🎶
Your knitting is amazing. I’d like to knit the Purl Soho ribbed hat but I see that the whole pattern is so many pages long! Did you print them all out or is there a concise pattern available?
Thanks! I think it's coming up as multiple pages because of the different variations offered in the updated pattern. All you really need to know are the sizes, cast-on numbers for each size, length to knit each size to, and the crown section. When printing, sometimes there's the option to remove some of the info? Otherwise you could copy and paste the sections you want into a Word Doc and print from there just the pieces of information you want. OR, you could jot down just the info you need and go from there!
I to watch your videos. They make me happy!! Thank you for your time. ❤❤❤
You are so kind, thank you!!❤️❤️❤️

I’m in awe of how productive you are! Love your projects and it’s so cool that your husband makes buttons!
What an array of beautiful projects! “You knit a sweater for your hot water bottle”😂. That cracked me up. Also, your test knit vest is just the best! I love the colors and how you’re playing with them. ❤
Thank you so much Becky!! I can always count on my kids for a good giggle 😂. Take care!
Love how coordinated your cardigan, cup, earrings, and hairtie are 😊 have a great week ❤

@ yes I tend to resort to that yarn most of the time for his socks.

Great video. Love the vest…. A book recommendation is The Fox Wife.

I've knitted for 40 years and I have found it is still a learning process. I hope you continue to enjoy knitting.
