This session was recorded on 14 May 2024 on the Valheim Public Test Branch.
This series includes Glitchy and my genuine first reactions to entering the Ashlands without much knowledge at all! We were able to coordinate and play on the FIRST day of the Public Test Branch’s release so take that with its own grain of salt. It is not part of any other playthrough and is a standalone on a new world I created to help us quickly get ready and play with some Ashlands stuff, since we didn’t have a good playthrough ready to join up and adventure in together! This is a series that Glitchy and I both recorded and made separate videos for our respective channels. Watch one or both videos if you want to see Glitchy’s perspective.

13:50 Poor Glitchy! You didn't die because you didn't have support, you died because you're a bloodthirsty berserker having fun swinging axes instead of trying to parry/escape/knockback the 1* warriors ;P
Also, why do you still carry the stone portal? Unless you plan on taking metal through, it's just a more cumbersome portal. Free some inventory space and get back to the OG! Just dial a stone portal and bring the mats through when you mine or siege.
Dare I say Waffles is better at NOT melee-ing? That was a marked improvement when tanking hits was a very bad idea instead of just a bad idea.
Its funny how you tell Glitchy to ''support'' when 1 hit of any warrior instantly takes your shield away, not like hes gonna permanently keep up the shield without going to 0 hp :D

Laughed when catapulted your weapon 😂 Also love that you are both mages. Slashing and smashing is cool, but we've seen it plenty. The magic however brings a lot of new posibilities (at least for me).
I love the staff of the wild. I just drink minor eitr regen, spam staff of the wild and watch the vines whip the enemies back into hell. Man I love that staff
FYI: Trolls will take out a protection bubble in about two hits. Those are good for upping blood magic without much risk of killing you also.
Waffles knows what's up. Marinated greens, seeker aspic and roasted crust pie, all 30 minutes, dream come true.

I watched Threadmenace rush the ashlands when it was first on PTB. He accidentally launched his demolisher in the catapult and through some free fly experimentation discovered that it glitched INTO the wall of the fort. Like inside the stone

You can still dig underneath the center of the fortress. Did it last night. If you dig as far down as possible then try to dig unde, it will eventually hit the dirt under the wall. Doesnt seem like it will work at first but it does.

@WafflesGamesProbably Yeah I thought the wall was blocking my pickaxe, but after a couple swings, the terrain in the center tower started clearing out. I was trying to get into the center tower for the resources without breaking open a wall since I wanted to build a camp in the fortress.

If you've ever wondered, now you know! But there are better payloads. Hahaha now if it spawned 4 skeletons on impact...

Greydwarf spawner is good for the first 25-30 skill levels but then you are going to want to move onto something like multiple Elder fights because Elder can pop all the bubbles, skellies keep hitting, player keeps bubbling. Can even move to Elder quicker if the skellies stay alive long enough for the full battle.
Beat ya, didn't beat ya to the "other" skeleton statue. I used a Valkyrie trophy though.
ah, perfect i was just about to boot up Valheim here. Let's go!
By the way that protect shield allows you too parry with anything.
I've ended up just turning down the death penalty in the world modifiers, it just takes way too long to get blood magic levels. I use a draugr village to level blood magic.
you can actually pickaxe under that central tower, but it takes awhile
We try that and discover it was patched with the full release! The central tower goes down a long ways now. Unless it was just that single one that was like that.
@@WafflesGamesProbably yes, the wall goes down a long way, but the wall can be destroyed by a blackmetal pickaxe, it is quite strong though
You have potions "Lingering Stamina" - ready to use. I see those fermenting barrels every time you visit base.
They are cheap to make and VERY useful - but I have rarely seen you use them? Why?!
I am curious what is this " items stacked". In my game i need to do it manually
Love how your on very hard yet my morgans on normal still hit harder. That's strange think my world is bugged but honestly have no idea. Even wearing the same armor.
Oh no this series is on Medium combat difficulty! My Livestream playthrough is on very hard.
Then how are mine hitting harder? Oh askvid armor never mind but I'm only 20 or so below max with ask and ashen cap. But not gonna lie do have a level 4 set already just for when things go south call it what you will I like that armor more than flametal. Well besides that chest piece.

But also yeah why is the damage so different theirs inconsistencies for sure. Could be my fault as I hate every set but one. But i have worn full flametal and they're still hitting just hard if not more when I wear that ask makes life bearable for me it's the perfect fit for my style. Attack yet can pull out faster then fenris with the cloak. Without it seems like wind run is still attached to the armor too but that maybe I'm not weighed down at all. Love the set they need to add more light sets theirs to many heavies.
Naw, very very difficult to keep summoning skellies in field battle situations. Too much blood loss, no time, erratic behavior (watch them walk right into the lava)...that's a NO GO on that mission. Trainer time only and even then it gets pretty slow to level up around skill 40.
There ya go, Staff of Wild, it is not a distraction either, it is extremely effective at range. Glitchy should be all in on the elemental.
OH and also in a morgen hole, just pop on on either side and it's a puff of blood in no time.
so i think. ur pink thing. went into the centre.. where marksman was.. coz if ur in that centre bricked off bit. (the bit u tried to dig under)... if u look up wen ur in it... there is a hole. im wondering , it u got hole in one. lol coz.. the skull is no where.. it must be somewhere.. im hoping thats where it is. lol. ive paused the vid to type this befor i see you get into it. get ya battering bits out. :P

Halfdan? You named a skelly to Halfdan? Halvdan means not done, mediocre in Sweden (we have a sibling relationship with Denmark) so this is hilarious!!!!
