This session was recorded on 14 May 2024 on the Valheim Public Test Branch.
This series includes Glitchy and my genuine first reactions to entering the Ashlands without much knowledge at all! We were able to coordinate and play on the FIRST day of the Public Test Branch’s release so take that with its own grain of salt. It is not part of any other playthrough and is a standalone on a new world I created to help us quickly get ready and play with some Ashlands stuff, since we didn’t have a good playthrough ready to join up and adventure in together! This is a series that Glitchy and I both recorded and made separate videos for our respective channels. Watch one or both videos if you want to see Glitchy’s perspective.

Also I love the dynamic between you 2. You are like the big brother (making sure you sleep and keeping the shields up) while Glitchy is running around like an excited puppy. Where as you are Mr. Chaos in the regular series.

Hahahaha I guess I'm just so familiar with early Valheim I'm just scatterbrained and ready to go off and do crazy things! Whereas I'm still discovering the Ashlands and trying to be safe! Haha that makes sense.

Waayyy ahead of ya on the early Ashlands landfall, gotta have that wind to make it to the first rock spire though before the boat blows.
Cool that glitchy brought up going to fuling villages, was about to say that'd be cool to see some bullying with the new weapons

Lucky you! I still haven't found a mysterious place and I've got all my gear, but I'm getting tired of putrid holes..

Put the workbench and stonecutter in the entrance to the putrid holes, then you don't come back to coal later.

You need to keep entering glitchy putrid hole if you want to learn more about the mysterious locations. 😉 .

Yes summoning a troll into a fuling village is a blast. The staff of fracturing is a bit disappointing though.

@WafflesGamesProbably yea they are a hassle if you don't deal with them quickly. However great for farming xp and bones 😉

Ah that staff of the wild or whatever it's called is perfect for archers and anything that stands still. If you cast a few of those around a spawner, will it attack it?
I've wondered the same! I thought so then I observed them not attacking a spawner. I'm not totally certain yet.
@@WafflesGamesProbably Ah, probably not. Still useful for those annoying archers though.
I built a xp farm in a ashlands fortress. And the staff of the wind is awesome at farming xp just hurl it down at the enemy and watch the chaos. The won't attack a spawner but they can damage it .
@@RaysTwoPence Ah, cool. Then just surround it and let spawning take it's course.
@GUNNER67akaKelt I funnel them to a corner opposite each spawner then launch the vines and watch the chaos
When ya pick up over 100 charred skulls, knowing Valheim, ya know they aren't important; not in the right discovery location either. Eikthyr and Elder are not good, ah-hem, bellwethers for such speculation.

Ha, you didn't keep much of anything spoil free in this playthrough, while you were playing, manipulated strongly through ep. 4 and then knowledge from elsewhere after that. Or else we have very different interpretations.
Part of what I mean by that is you guys just discovered the first mysterious location, way waaaaayyyy later than you should have because of hell-bent and you will behave how we want you to behave Ashlands attitude, interested only in flametal and not at all in discovery.
Bravo though, you guys finally started playing properly, like a real playthrough!
