This demo was a 10/10. Perfect graphics, impeccable performance, and exceptional music. This represents everything the console can do and I would like to congratulate all the people responsible. I even found it curious that the horizontal aspect ratio was better on the Mega Drive and now the SNES seemed stretched as if the game had graphics made with it in mind.
@@MXRetroDev thank you, we really appreciate your feedback About the grafics, you are spot on, the original is one thats cases where the artwork was not optimized to snes aspect ratio, so it looks conpletely off On MD it is showed as the original pixel artist intends The history tells thats the project was originally to the arcade, but Atari has the license to this, and Konami only got for the Nintendo system, so they cut it heavyly to fit on the system
@@PyronsLair probably in the original project they began development with the idea that Robin was going to be in the movie for the secondary character, because he was cut last minute from the movie and I imagine at that date the arcade beat them up had to at least be a 2 player coop
@@JeffHizationthe snes crappy 256 mode is the same resolution as the original NES. Compared to the genesis 320 mode with a lot more horizontal pixels it is simply stretched by comparison. Plus the genesis runs twice as fast as the SNES
I love this demo. It is a very great work. My only regret is that it is just the first level (even if I understand it is a lot of work). I hope in future that someone will do a completely version of this game on megadrive. Congratulations Pyrhon for this version and thank you very much.

Great! Fyi, youtube clips the sound past 0db, so ideally you want to record your levels below that. so the sound doesn't get degraded. This video has the sound 5db past the limit of no degradation.

Esse MD demo-tech é a versão de arcade que a Konami lançaria nos anos 90 / incrível mais elementos ação mais linear .. como o melhor beat 'em up de arcade-style dos anos 80s / 90s
Same here, I thought it'd be the complete game. But in hindsight, it's understandable. Made me wonder how they could make it so fast, while my own project seems to advance at snail pace in comparison. Keeping such a big project under wraps until it's pretty much complete would have been very impressive.
Oh... I found out it won't get finished, as explained on the download page. One disappointment after another. I wish this was made clear from the start, instead of building hype for this. Set the proper expectations, guys. :\

O objetivo de vocês foi alcançado com sucesso, é uma excelente tech demo, dá para ver os limites do mega drive com ela, o que eu pontuo aqui como pontos fortes da demo são o preenchimento na parte inferior colocando a mureta com neve, a própria neve caindo, a cabine telefônica, a qualidade sonora, a escolha da palheta de cores, possibilidade de multiplayer, as fotos do batman e dos inimigos na Hud, e o tamanho e quantidade de sprites na tela ao mesmo tempo, isso tudo demonstra as capacidades do mega e a competência da equipe de desenvolvimento, genial, parabéns! Sei que é uma demo em desenvolvimento, mas teve umas coisinhas que achei estranhas também, o flick dos thin clown (sei que é coisa de ajuste, mas está engraçado😅), a voz feminina falando quando aparece o go (a do batman nessa hora ficou muito legal!), dois batman na tela (meus olhos bugam 🤭) e os sprites sumindo quando tem muitos personagens na tela ao mesmo tempo. Reforço aqui que isso é apenas a minha opinião pessoal, o projeto está maravilhoso, toda a equipe está de parabéns, muitíssimo obrigado!
I noticed a few problems in this demo. Batman can't throw Batarangs, this is a very useful feature on the SNES. And it also seemed to me that capturing two opponents at the same time does not work quite correctly, they are very difficult to grab.

Looks fantastic. I have some suggestions if you're interested. One the things that can make beat em' ups tedious to play is how repetitive the progression is. I personally think the opening stage could be improved by breaking it up into three acts where each act fades into one another and have their own unique soundtrack. It's a little trick I notice Final Fight does to keep you interested so it might be worth experimenting with to make the overall experience more enjoyable.
As a Sega- & Mega Drive Fan I lstill love the SNES-Version so much and was always sad for the missing MD-Version. Now you make a Dream come true and giving me the greatest Chistmas-Gift in years…thank you🎉❤

It turned out really well!!! 🤗 Just an idea: Can you make player 1's belt blue and player 3's belt red? That way we don't confuse the characters. Or p1 and p2 could float above their heads. Otherwise, it turned out great!!!!!

Merry Christmas to you guys and thanks for all the great work you keep dedicating to this project! Could i offer an idea to make second player more visually distinct? Maybe add Nightwing. I know he wasn't in the movie but neither was a second Batman. And unlike the colorful Robin his mostly black suit would fit well with the aesthetic of the game. Maybe Robins sprite from Adventures of Batman & Robin for the SNES could be used as basis. Remove the cape, color correct the suit and the skintone and he'd make for a perfect Batman Returns Nightwing.

Just play the SNES version on an emulator and set the aspect ratio to "uncorrected". Problem solved.

Never realized how horizontally stretched the SNES original looked until now. Phenomenal work.
The sprites are not stretched on the Snes, they were drawn for its display resolution. This demo is not using the Snes sprites.
